Not quite, the floor passed scrutineering in Melbourne, therefore was legal, McLaren asked for a clarification on the rule that governed the floor mounting systems (Using Ferrari's own tech drawings, redone, as they wanted to use the same system for their floors) the FIA then decided that the tolerences used for measuring the floors flex would be changed, thus rendering the Ferraris (and two other teams) floors illegal. As this happened after the race (and tipped the FIA onto McLaren having illegal infomation on the Ferrari's) the Ferraris raced at Melbourne in a legal configuration and where not excluded.
