I remember something like this happening.. I spent 5+ hours installing 2 two-way radios and a mobile phone hands free kit into a security patrol car. Later the next day the car was stolen. Was recovered a few days later. They took all the radios and the cradle for the mobile phone hands free. Didn't take the unit that actually controls everything. They also took the amber light bar, the rims and other random stuff. Ah, the factory stereo they also stole and probably damaged quite badly. I had to do it ALL over again.. Man.. I loathe working on Commodores. Shit interiors to work with. Avoid working on Commodores if you can.. They really do suck.

Did you get their driver's license details? Every time I've ever test driven a car, the seller has always either held onto my driver's license or copied my details down. I'm taking the "no testpilot" approach for my car. Same story as Ant selling his car.

It really does suck what happened to Klown. It has happened to me, except the car only cost me $800. So I really wasn't that phased.

Multimeter for finding voltages when the car is in acc. and on. And trial and error to find out which wires control which speakers. May also be a wire which controls the antenna. I think there are adapters available to go from jap to our standard colouring. Also same story for the coax. Convert from their big thing to our little coaxial connector.

When I was looking to buy a new car it was between R33 and Supra.. Makes this a bit of a tough decision. I didn't much like the shape of the R34 originally, but after seeing it in the flesh it looks pretty darn sweet. It is a tough choice between the two, but I'd choose the R34.
