Hey guys My car has been playing up for a couple of days now, took it for a service to Adam's Auto Centre at Woodcroft. Service and inspection $423, oil,filters,plugs and tune. Scantool says its the afm Just wondering if there is still a group buy for this? I know Cubes you were doing 1? Anyone got a spare 1 lying around so I could buy/borrow it for the cruise? Cant get a hold of 1 until next week??

yeah sounds like a good idea! i would rather tell them about the cruise if there is an incident then it could get "out of hand". But having said that everyone is responsible for their own actions and if you are an idiot on the road and get pulled over its your own fault.

Well finally got through to the traffic copper and he told me to provide him with route and destination details and date and times of cruise. Told me that it is not illegal to have a cruise without notifying them, but telling them in advance would look better on 'our' part and they would take 'us' more seriously having told them about it. For example we could not get pulled over for cruising because we notified them. He told me that they do not intend to set up a defect station in our path but do encourage safe driving. I reassured him we are not a 'hoon' club but we are rather 'car enthusiasts'. Anyways gave me a fax no. to send him details of cruise. Seems a bit weird giving them details...............could be canaries galore!! Dont worry haven't sent anything information and have been very vague with them. Thoughts?????

Went down Sturt poolice station today and asked the copper at the front desk (female with an european accent) whats the go with cruises? I said that I was 'thinking' of 'planning' a cruise in the next couple of months or whatever. She kept asking about dates and what cars, I said havent got dates and i said car enthusiast's cars. She went out the back to ask a traffic copper but no-one was 'available'. She handed me a coppers name and ph. number and rang it 5 times and no answer.(i guess too busy doing what cops do.........coffee, donuts.etc) Anyway she said there is some sort of protocal when organising a cruise and its possible to get a clearance if the the requirements are met. Anyone here previously organised a cruise and knows more about this??

yeah its only got the factory fmic, the size of a matchbox (well almost), probably good for stock boost, yeah should wind it back to 10psi, will do it tonight. FMIC upgrade is number 1 on my list anyway. Feels like I am losing top end power even on full boost though, time for a service and tune, big 100k service!

hhhhmmmmmm.........i've been running 14psi on my RB20 since bought it 6 months ago, haven't had any problems as yet (touchwood!) and not running a FMIC either . Is it true that std RB20 turbos can run a few more psi than RB25. I hope this is the case otherwise I'm gonna wind it down to 10psi.

Gonna give the cop shop a call tomorrow or go down there and find out what the go is with cruises. I'll say I'm thinking of planning 1 and see what they say. Try to find out if we can get any sort of 'clearance' for an uninterupted cruise. If not then we will have to be on extra good behaviour. I just dont want to be liable for organising this cruise when something happens.............etc. Anyways pm's will go out closer to cruise date as previously mentioned. As for other cars coming, well, i dont know it is a skylines forum therefore should be skylines.......but in the end can stop ppl from "tagging" along i guess. <_<

spotted a nice black r33 4-door, drift style bodykit cnr sturt and marion roads. then spotted r32 with custom paint goldy/orange with nice kit on Panatalinga rd.

Hey guys I'm planning on putting a bodykit on my R32 in the not too distant future, jusy wondering if you guys know of any sites or places that specialize in this sort of stuff. I want a pretty original kit so I wont be going Type-m/GTR although i do like the look. Anyone maybe with pics of a good kit??

hey boosted22 did you get an answer from the car yard? if they dont want to play ball i suggest give Consumer Affairs a call, i had some hassles with my insurance paying me out for damage to my wheel when i had my accident, tried tellin me the damage was there before, i said sort it out or im callin Consumer Affairs, got a cheque in the mail the following week. in other words if you let them shaft you they will, dont let them play you for a fool. you pay good money for a car so you want to get what you paid for!

yeah had a similar thing happen to me at Marion Shopping Centre, this was back when I had a RX-7, cruising along with the Mrs, looking for a park when this dude in a commie reversed out without looking and missed me by centimetres, I beeped and said "watch where ya goin dude!" man i was pissed just had my car re-sprayed, Mrs was like "leave it keep goin" hes like "keep moving Jap Crap!" i took my Mrs advice and drove saying "learn how to drive". Anyway parked 5 min later. Got back to the car about 2 hours later and found my aerial snapped and a note under my wiper saying "thats what you get for driving Jap Crap". What a f@#$in idiot! A prime example of a gutless bastard.

yeah spotted DriftR_33 yesterday went for small cruise through the windies! spotted silver 32 at Mobil servo Morphett Vale, stopped and chatted compared cars, mods. Good to see other 32's getting around. spotted chick in burgandy 33 on South road spotted a black 32 on the espi and another white 33 at Woodroft with P's alot of skylines out today!

yeah someone mentioned this earlier, anyone want to have a bbq down there? there are a few pubs cafes too. i know there are hot plates in the park area for bbq. theres a cafe primo there, not too sure about other places?Any suggestions?

yaeh i guess thats what happens when cops are faced with cars quicker than theirs. 1 thing i think they dont understand is that high performance cars dont have accidents, its their low performance drivers that make the mistakes behind the wheel.
