  6. hi guys, need a full set of aftermarket splitfires/JJR/super-spark coil packs for an r33 rb25det Series 2 MUST be in perfect working order, as my ones are missfiring up high in the rev range.. can pick up from sydney, or pay for postage please pm me please thanks

  8. i got the same problem, and it just started few nights ago out of no where i put silicone on the coilpacks (hi temp Loctite one) but its still there - between 4500 and 5500 after that its fine my NGk iridiums r about 60,000kms old so im putting new copper ones in tomorow gapped to 0.8mm and giv it ago, hopefuly its just my plugs that need replacing and not the coil packs

  10. after coating my coils in silicon, the miss fire is still there....my car is running NGK iridium plugs which are around 70,000kms old....im gona replace these with fresh plugs and see how it goes, it that doesnt fix the problem i'l be needing new coilpacks, after havin a browse through here i'l be gettin the JJR coilpacks (plus justjap is 2 mins away from me) just running 10psi with stage one mods....i hope they will do the job...oh and good price compares to splitfires
  11. ok well took it for a good drive and after about 30mins of driving, it still misses between 4500 - 5500 rpm it has iridium plugs in it, but are around 60,000kms old, so im thinking of changin the plugs and go from there...

  13. as i posted in the other thread like this going around...i started to get a missfire 2 nights ago out of no where! usual first stage mods that ive had for nearly 1 year no probelems at all, so i suprised how it just started to missfire anywayz i went to repco, bought a tube of Loctite silicon/gasket maker HI TEMP (rated for 350degrees), pulled my coils and saw noticible splits in almost all...gave them a good coating on every side, underneath and on top, left to dry chucked them bak in took for a quick squirt and the problem has 100% disappeared, and its running 11.5psi stock ecu, no miss, no flat spot no nufin....GOOD AS GOLD but as others hav said, this is only a temporary fix until i hav spare $$ to put in splitfires
  14. where did u buy the Urethane seal coat? thats the one thats in electric motor windings right? does it work just as good as silicone?

  17. there nice cars, plenty or torque from the 3litre engine my brother inlaw just sold his 1992 300zx twin turbo, 2 seater, leather interior (very car) 5 speed had first stage mods ie. boost, exhaust, front mount, clutch apexi safc and made 231 RWKW....stock turbos so with minimal mods u can get a hell lot of power out of them, just make sure you get one in good condition as alot have problems with the engines eg. turbo failures, cooling i think is an issue aswell.... overall a good car that handles bloody well
  18. take the GTR badge off and put it on a GTS-T...now they are EXACTLY the same in performance
  19. i think everything has been said in the 10 odd pages already so anyways i'l put my 2cents in... i own a series 2 gtst, standard mods, full exhaust, cooler', heavy duty clutch, 11psi bla bla my brother in law has a 98 series 3 R33 GTR with only full exhaust (dump pipes back) pods, 14psi and nismo twin plate.... let me tell u that thing at the lights is like a slingshot, where as the gtst just spins the wheels/tramps/chirps i think thats where the GTR has an advantage, and thats the ability to just leap of the line thanks to the attessa system then again everywhen do u drive like that on the street? ahhh hell im just gona buy a GTR so i can tell my mates i have a GTR lol
  20. a larger bore exhaust no smaller then 3" all the way....what cat u got on there? make sure u run a genuine highflow cat, hell i'ld even run a 4" highflow cat in there
  21. spotted a silver R35 GTR yesterday at the BP servo after the airport tunnel....looked stunning !!!
