  1. my brother inlaw has an R33 GTR 98 model and his bovs do sound very different to my gtst. his got apexi pods and its a different sound, and if u play with the throttle while backin off you can actually keep them going for afew seconds.... perfectly normal
  2. just drove next to NIZ-033 white R33 gtst on the grande parade sans souci and spotted a gun metal r32 gtst plates GOD-15T
  3. how much boost were you running? just curious
  4. spotted WKD-33R south bound king georges rd near kings head tavern around 10:30ish,
  5. well judging by the condition of the pant, it will only need a fine cut and polish, then maybe a "swirl-remover", then a wax might giv it a god this weekend....wish me luck LOL
  6. would look tuff as ! there was a pic of a midnight purple r33 gtr inthe R33 pics only thread (photography) looked very nice i got a carbon fibre bonnet on my silver r33
  7. thanks my main concern is swirlmarks ! i hate seeing them on cars ! lol
  8. hey guys i want to get my car polished, the paint is in very good condition ( metallic silver), can anyone recomend a place that does very good polishing, no swirlmarks etc in Sydney? also should i attemp this myself? ive done my parents boat afew times which has been repainted in 2pac and it turned out spotless no swirlmarks or anything if i do, is it good to use say a fine cut first, then when im done with that use a "swirl remover" as the final polish any tips/ideas etc would be great thanks
  9. a nice simple wiring diagram would be champ !!
  10. i want to hook up the "driving lights" in my front bar to my parking lights and or driving lights so they are always on at night how do i do this? heaps of stuffing around? worth taking to an auto electrician?
  11. hi guys well it was raining abit in sydney last night and when i went to put my wipers on they sounded like they were scratching the glass, so i checked out and ran my hand accross and it feels rough !! i used metho and windex today but it didnt do nufin really any help??? how about kerosine??? it feels like its paint or sumfin stuck there, could be from the bastard afew doors down from work doin spray painting? any help would be great !
  12. dont no about best tint, maybe solar tint or such im doin mine next week - 15% all around
  13. yeh any wheel repair shop will be able to turn it on the lathe and polish it up for you. on a side note, ive got bronze volk racing SE37's and i used a meguires rim 'spray and wash' cleaner, so i did my front drivers side rim, rinsed it off and its now left like a hazy white fog in some areas ! it said its suitable for aftermarket rims, clear coast safe bla bla how do i clean this shit off !?
  14. abit of topic... how come everyones front mount kits i see, have only 1 large pipe running from where the nipple is located and goes right down just before the hole in the chassis. looks so much neater i bought mine few weeks ago from justjap and where the nipple goes its a small piece of pipe around 6" long...makes the bay look untidy with all these extra clamps and silicon hoses ! anywayz
  15. yeh this is true, but if i want to run 10psi (which is where its at now im guessing with those mods) where is say 11 or 12psi on the stock gauge? i know when it hits 7 on the stock gauge that is 14.5psi right? mine goes acouple of millimeters higher then the next line down (which is half way so around 7.25psi ?) so prob hitting 9ish psi giv or take if i can get an acurate reading, then there is no need to go aftermarket gauge if anyone knows how to read there boost gauge properly and has a pic and can mark where 10psi and 12psi should be, that'l be of good help cheers
  16. also is anyone using Autogauge gauges without a problem? ive herd their readings are off eg. boost gauge shows 2psi less then an Autometer, sparco gauge
  17. that corner pod looks great nah no track days or thrashings.... they do lok ok, maybe even the single pillar pod would be enough im only running stage one mods, and nufin more ever, so theres no need to to get oil temp, water temp gauges etc etc
  18. which one is this? you got a pic thanks
  19. ok so what does a fuel cut defender actually do? lol someone told me that its used to lean out ur AFR's? i thought you needed some sort of after market ecu or piggy back to do this... cheers
  20. well i'll be turning up the boost slightly on my r33 with the usual stage one mods already done (full exhaust, front mount, pod etc) and before i do so i want to get a boost gauge installed. now i was originaly thinking of going the DIN gauge pocket that holds 3 gauges under the stereo, but i only need the boost gauge, if i do go this way what other ones can i use? air/fuel ratio gauge? oil temp etc? are these others necessary? someone suggested that installing gauges in that position is extremly difficult to wire up/connect. so now im thinking of going A-Pillar gauge pod for 2 gauges.... where does everyone have there boost gauges (and any others for that matter) and where is the best place to buy gauges/pods from in sydney? (eg. autometer, sparco etc) cant make up my mind lol cheers
  21. hi guys just wondering if r33 gtr side skirts are a direct fit on the r33 gtst if so, how hard/what is involved is installing them? how much should i pay for a pair? preferably in silver good cond? or brand new "GTR style" skirts plus getting them painted? thanks heaps michael
  22. i was running 7ish psi with just a 3" cat back and pod. once i put a 3" stainless steel dump/frontpipe and 3" hi flow cat, boost went to around 8.5psi then front mount shifted boost to around 9.5psi (maybe a wee bit more )
  23. while i was changing my headunit i took my cluster out and cleaned connectors and made sure everything was on tight, still no luck just get a second hand cluster (from ebay or here in the for sale section) and just change the tacho section, its only 4 or 5 tiny screws holding it in place
  24. justjap - www.justjap.com unique autosports - www.nismo.com.au carmate - www.carmate.com.au
  25. add to ur car a 3" hi flow cat, front mount, 12psi and a SAFC or ecu remap etc, hi flow air filter and you would be close to it
