where is the tacho pickup? could it be a loose connection or anything yeh everything else works fine.... thanks

hey guys my tacho seems to be dead...sumtimes it flickers, but most of the time it just drops down past 9000rpm (at the end of the gauge) and doesnt move, then sometimes it might start boucing around the 6 - 7k area wen ur really doing around 1500rpm.... what could it be? has this happened to anyone before, whats the solution? thanks

ok just found out that u hav to change lights, bonnet, grill, fenders etc....not really worth it ps: if anyone is selling an R33 series 1.5 1995 model silver front bar in sydney, let me no cheers

hi, i got an R33 series 1.5 but the original bar craked due to a bird impact and a mate lent me an R33 series 1 bar for the timebeing... was just wondering if a series 2 would fit no problems. it has a R33 97 grill at the moment and a carbon fibre bonnet.... thanks

nah it wasnt imported as a "track car only" i dont know much about these importing/compliane things but track only cars dont need compliance right? his got the paperwork for this and import docs.....main thing that worrys him is the amount of time its been sitting here in aus.... thanks again

hi just helping a mate out, his found a skyline for sale but is uncomplied and unregistered, the owner says he has import and compliance docs, the car has been like this for 2 years in aus, hasnt been in an accident, and is relatively stock bar some rims, turbo timer, blow off valves (all easy to remove and replace with originals), he questioned him about the period of time its been sitting here and the owner said the compliance has been extended..... does all this sound right? could it be complied? in nsw ? (car is in nsw aswel) any info would be good cheers

spotted RUGAME on the back of a tilt tray this afternoon with the bonnet popped on Princess H'way Kirawee, south bound

like some of the others have stated, get a full service done first (oils, timing belt, water pump etc) and put on a descent 3" cat back exhaust and high flow cat and pod air filters. these wont be putting too much strain on the engine (or turbos) also how does ur intake plenum look? alot of paint flaking/missing ? or is it all completely black? ps. congrats on the purchase, hopefully mine comes soon :|

spotted an R33 gtst plates KW-11-KY, and an R32 gtst plates zoe-20t in airport tunnel, oh and afew skylines at brighton last night, including an r32 gtr playin with a s13 on grand parade

spotted MR R32 @ dolls point yesterday afternoon

spotted an absolute gem of an R32 GTR, white, hot bronze looking rims (think TE37's) @ BP servo on Boundary Rd peakhurst around 12ish

just spotted an R34 GTR park outside Harrys cafe' plates RUFGTR - very mean looking

spotted a dark blue R32 GTR plates IRB-261 @ just jap this arvo with skylinesaustralia.com sticker on the back and R32 GTR plates SKY-11N there aswell

well it depends really, the motor could of gave way coz of a stuffed fuel pump, or turbo failure, or a stuffed oil pump which is more common anywayz thanks for ur help guys, i'l se what happens when im ready anywayz...

nah, i thought instead of buying one for around 18ish grand and not knowing how long the engine will last, might aswel buy one wich is already dead and get it rebuilt, only after 220 - 250rwkw

hey guys well in the next couple of months (hopefully) i'l be looking at buying an R32 GTR, ive looked at afew, browsed on these forums for ages etc, and ive decided i wanna buy one with a blown engine and just do a basic engine rebuild (we know a very good family friend who knows these engines like the back of his hand, owning/building both a 26/30 GTR and 25/30 R33, so labour/parts will be no probs) im just posting to ask you guys if you know where you can buy R32 GTR's with blown engines? body and interior must be good, what kind of prices roughly? can you import them, or must they be in running order? just the other day i saw one on ebay go for 9g, engine didnt start, but needed minor quater panel work aswell thanks heaps
