Big thanks to Paul also for being last to leave on Saturday night, making sure all cars (even if di(ks did leave with their cars unlocked and windows down) and play stations were secure. Also for being one of the first ones back there on Sunday to set the play stations up again and keeping a close eye on the whole stand over the weekend

  19. who are you organising the lesson through? i did my test at oakleigh (got off my p's at end of august, so did the test 3 years ago), and as for the do's and don'ts... ummm, follow the road rules!!! obviously being a learner they expect you to go slower than slow! hands at 10 and 2, head checks all the time, dont do any roll backs, they expect hand brake starts if on a hill etc, roundabouts - id recommend being in second as it means you have to slow down, which is a good thing, especially in the test! and means you dont have to come to a complete stop, but of course, always safer to stop, again especially in the test!
  20. i'm in brighton
  21. solicitors & barristers fees + court fees is going to be a lot more than $800. its worth writing letters to them saying pay within 7 days otherwise further action will be taken, but seriously consider the costs of taking it to court compared to the $800 worth of damage.
  22. ditto Adam... my brother lost his licence on monday night (or early tuesday morning! 2.15am) clocked at 104km/h in a 60 zone... loss of licence for 6 months, 6 demerit points and like $396 fine. i told friends and people i worked with (law firm) and my friend used to work at Legal Aid and mentioned you can defer your loss of licence and keep it like on a probationary thing and if you get pulled over for anything in the probationary time... you screwed and your suspension is doubled... im not sure however if this is the case for speeding as thats not what she had that knowledge from, she said your best be is to go to your local cop station and ask if you have options. but in the long run, you broke the law, you suffer the consequences and count your lucky stars that there was no one else involved, no accidents and no injuries...
  23. also Bridies on Chapel is expensive on spirits - which i know at least 2 of us will be drinking im not 100% on the Pub prices but going by Crown other bars etc they are about $5.50ish, Bridies is at least $6 if not more, i know theres not a big difference but it all adds up and every little bit helps to get that one last drink!
