  1. so to clarify the ngk lfr7aix 2309 is the correct one for vq25det ?
  2. Idle is low and it stalls occasionally so might change the plugs. Interesting Just Jap list LFR5AIX-11 as their Iridium plug for the VQ25DET which is wrong. Are there two thread lengths that work with the VQ25DET? Looking at the Nismo S-Tune Long Reach plug made by NGK.   4. Thinking of fully restoring some calipers, chipped pretty bad and faded emblem. Are the Ebay high temp decals any good ?

  6. ok so looking at the softer spring option since I already bought the plumb back. Turbosmart website not very comprehensive on information. So stock spring is : -19 InHg high vac and -9 InHg low vac soft spring is : -13 InHg high vac and -3 InHg low vac Will the soft spring hold a solid 18-19 psi with a high flow on the VQ25DET and will it fix the shudder or just reduce it ?

  8. G'day, ok getting pretty tired of stock brakes with Bendix pads same as X-trail. Looking at some V35 Brembos from a wrecker. How do I tell if the rotors have any life left in them ? Might get ripped off. cheers

  10. Man what causes these things to fail ? Not that mine has gone, but I'm expecting it will after a different turbo goes on. Turbulence , erratic voltage ? Are they supposed to blow to protect the engine ? Have Nissan purposely designed them to limit modification possibilities to their cars after the Skyline Era.. I'm trying to get answers from tuners overseas.
  11. Oh sorry I've mislead everyone, that's not my engine bay. Mine is stock all except for BOV. I posted that pic for reference for possibilities about venting to atmo.
  12. this looks like vent to atmo, whats are the white vac lines doing ? he's also blocked one off on the plenum.
  13. so the Nissan Kompact Plumb Back isn't adjustable ? what about blocking the recirc ? if you can tune it out with the dual port, it must be the recirc pressure causing it
  14. hmm just noticed on their website, under nissan plumb back bov which has the matching flange, it says all Stagea models require dual port. strange as the factory bov isn't, must work differently...
  15. aahh that was my next question ? didn't think it was adjustable . there's no mention of adjustment in the instructions... aren't they just set to a certain spring rate ?
  16. Have you tried blocking of the plumb back and release to atmo ?
  17. Had boost leak from stock BOV so fitted a Turbosmart Kompact Plumb back. Fixed the leak but now have shudder. This flutters on release and shudders the car quite a bit around 80 km/h and over. Assuming it's the recirc pressure causing the problem ? Any way to fix this ? VQ25DET cheers
  18. ok got rid of the CEL, now trying for the air bag light. I have 1 long flash followed by 2 short flashes ( might be the other way around ) Anyone know what that means ? cheers
  19. fixed it. Fuse was pulled out ... wasn't me ! Got the translation now, helps a bit..
  20. I have error code 0135 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Bank 1 Sensor 1 Is that something I can fix myself ? Where is the sensor ? We were playing with relays and fuses prior to this... cheers

  22. Ha, Craig was right, the burble and loss of power was the factory BOV. Chuck on a Turbosmart Kompact, away you go..
  23. oh, car starts and drives fine. So to get into diagnosis mode: after 12 sec: release pedal : cel starts to flash. is that it ? do I just wait for codes: cheers
  24. Hmmm, effing CEL light is on after mucking around with the headlights and fog light relay. Pulled the relay out and bridged it to test the circuit. Got power at the relay but not at the headlights ? Anyway, tried to get fog lights to operate again on the H4 50w element but gave up. Couldn't find where the compliance dickheads disconnected it. So back to the CEL Didn't disconnect the battery or anything on the engine, maybe just coincidence ? Did the accelerator reset a few times and it comes back, but not immediately every time. Can't see any error codes on the screen. In the meantime .... any ideas ? I'm due for some sway bars soon and they have the Consult there. cheers
