+1, take it to someone who knows the car.. Both my mechanics have never seen a VQ25DET before.. and it's 14 years old Don't rush into process of elimination.

I had stalling issues too, so had AFM checked - no irrattic readings though. Had throttle and closed throttle relearn carried out. Idle was too low, still is but a bit better. Wouldn't a warning light come on with transmission playing up ?

Sorry to hear that mate, and I might be down the same path as you. I have the same problem, it's intermittent. Doesn't seem to do it in 1st or 2nd, hammering off the mark but does it in third gear with my foot down. It's a loud droning burble under the car, not at the engine or at the ass, no power. My mechanic has checked and all diagnostics are normal. I had him check the AFM as this could be the problem but it reads fine. Have you had your cat checked for blockage ? However I have leaking stem seals and oily /fouled plugs so I'm putting my money on bad spark. Got told today it's engine out to fix stem seals...

I put one of these in my GTS-T about 7000 kms ago and it's now not holding both wheels. I thought this wasn't possible with a mech diff. The car's getting dangerous again as it twitches bad under hard acceleration. Also very shuddery on roundabouts etc, never really ever went away. Only done a couple track days with it. It's on the lowest setting already. How often do these need servicing, does it need to be pulled out? If I use different oil to reduce shudder, will open wheeling be worse? cheers

oh I see, Fog lights, I haven't found that switch yet. We don't get much fog on the northern beaches. So won't be needing that one. Still not convinced as the H3's are for low beam as the reflectors aim so high up. I'm gonna put HID's top and bottom, and have both come on for low beam. High beam will switch in the HID globe only. Fu$%* compliance dudes are hopeless, my GTS-T used to piss fuel all over the road out of the filler cap. I

So here we go again.. I find there is no light on the road in front of me, all I can see is my shadow from the car's lights behind me. Aren't the top H3's and bottom H4's supposed to be on with low beam ? H4 is a Hi-Lo dual filament globe.. Only the top are on , which seem to beam high above the road. When hi beam is on , the light is low ( parked against a wall and did this test ) So it seems they are reversed. I've seen some photos taken overseas with the lights on and the bottom half are lit. I'm suspecting compliance have done something wrong. Also when my hi-beam is on, only the low beam filament in the H4's is on .. Can anyone please confirm the correct switching. cheers

Firstly the idiot is me. Tried to install a mini hd media player via the aux port in the tv tuner. Spent hours soldering plugs and power supply. Managed to get good connections but the media player just didn't display with the screen. Tried every resolution option but unsuccessful. No sound either, just a fuzzy scrolling faint image. So two weekends later, cut it all out, put everything back and still stuck with stock head unit playing cd's.

Blocked off my PCV, then couldn't start the car. Put everything back to normal, then still couldn't start it for about 20 tries. Finally got it going, relearns back to normal, running fine. Scotty told me not to do it.. Trying to find oil entering and burning off. Sick of blue smoke galore and dirty plugs. Might try a catch can on the pcv line, or otherwise stem seals are gone.
