What's the difference between small and big head actuators ? -
Garrett Gt3071r Too Big For Rb20det?
conan7772 replied to Vomit's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I had 360 rwhp with my high flow on a Rb25/30. Full boost at 2400 rpm. Just like having a V8 under the hood. GCG flog em for $1850. Looks like you're stuck with a T25. Don't forget you can custom choose what wheels and cartridge you want. -
Garrett Gt3071r Too Big For Rb20det?

Nice choice, however a high flow T28 (RB25 VG30)might achieve that number heaps quicker ! -
Gt3076r Iw Need Help To Achieve 21 Psi Flat Line

We both have 0.82 rear 56 trim -
Just fitted the GT3076R to an RB25/30. Engine management is Haltech S2000, closed loop boost control. Turbo kit came with standard Garrett 5psi actuator. Can only peak briefly at 18psi then drops to 15. 310 rwkw max. Really would like 330 - 340 Another example here is Als. Pretty much a similar engine to mine, injector sizes, cams, only he opted for the 15psi actuator. However Al only gained an extra 2 psi across the graph, and our curves are identical, same peak and drop, but he's got 20 kw more. Is this the typical symptom of the IW 3076 ? or is it still crap actuators ? If I was to fit a large can 18 psi actuator, could I achieve 21 psi flat line. Also wouldn't mind boost to come on a little earlier Please don't tell me to go External wastegate. Cheers.

130 kph in 2nd gear ! That's mad. Good point with the gearboxes, S15 is 6 speed, didn't know that. Still a hard decision to make without having driven one. Try before you buy would be nice. Currently with the 4.11, 1st and 2nd have always been too short for me even with the RB25 with 185 rwkw. 3rd has always been nice and long. Now, with the 3.0 it still breaks traction heavily in 3rd, say already rolling at 70 kph, then floor it, engines ramps for about 2-3 secs then turbo hammers on, then sideways as hell. But if throttle is controlled better, accelleration is constant and endless, always seem to run out of road. So thanks for the comments, I'll stick with my current ratio or maybe a touch taller. I'm not looking at overtaking the Veyron.

Currently driving an RB25/30 R33 GTS-T with 310 rwkw and 990NM, stock viscous diff now inadequate for that power. Need to go a mech LSD, found one salavaged in a diff from an S15. Nismo GT Pro 1.5way. There's a huge difference in ratios, R33 is 4.11 and the S15 is 3.69. The car currently does wheel spin quite severely once the GT3076R hammers on. I'm wondering if the 3.69 is too tall or will it be perfect for my setup. Certainly can afford to reduce a fair bit of torque. What sort of rev drop would I expect, say at 70 kph in 4th. Would it make fuel consumption better or worse as a daily driver. What about 0-100 kph Cheers.

I think NYTSKY is probably the best example. He's done a thread on his engine build. 363 rwkw. PS, stick with external waste gate.

Wanted : Stub Axles From R34
conan7772 replied to conan7772's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Anyone got a GT-T diff apart. Still looking for some stub axles. Cheers. -
1995 Series 1 R33 GTS-T 90,000 kms Stock viscous LSD, pretty badly biased to one side. 284rwkw, and she kicks out like hell on accelleration. Right now I can't afford a new Kaaz or Nismo mechanical but will eventually. Can my stock diff be revived or improved a little by changing the oil and to another grade ? Cheers.

$150. I'll try to get it weighed today for freight. Cheers -
High flowed stock turbo from RB25. 55 inducer on both wheels. Machinist unknown but the car was in Sydney at the time, still has Garrett tag on cartridge : reads DG0136J 700177-18 500 hp Ball bearing cartridge. I've heard GCG didn't retag in the early days. Turbo has done 60,000 km's until last track day, I had a blue smoke screen bellowing out behind me. Seals have gone, bearings still quite free, shaft only moves 0.75mm in both directions. I'm assuming a new cartridge is needed. Wheels still look good. Standard T3 flange (69 x 108mm) GCG phone quote $675 plus parts and machining - anything from $900 - $1200 all up for rebuild. Rated at 450 hp but got over 500 . Got 285 rwkw out of it on RB25/30 with supporting mods. Brilliant spool and hold, see manifold pressure graph in post #70 (RB30 Hybrid Upgrade Dyno Results) Can freight, will check price. Can pick up from Avalon 2107. Call Alex on 0411595640 or PM

Looking to upgrade my stock diff as she kicks out like a bitch everytime I boot it. Don't know whether 1.5 or 2 way is better. Top goal is 330 rwkw. Car use - half road , half track Looking for good cost effective unit , maybe used GTR diff ? Don't know. I'm based in Sydney. Any help, appreciated. Cheers.

Conflicting Gt3076r Specs, Please Help
conan7772 replied to conan7772's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah me too Doof.. It seems, within the posts, heaps of blokes didn't and still don't even know if they have the TO4S Comp cover and 7 blade wheel instead of the genuine Garrett GT3076R. Hey, if it's a good package, then tell us. Please , post your results ASAP, we gotta keep this thread alive, and kicking. If you ask me, spending $2K plus on a turbo, and getting something else, it's a blatent rip off. Imagine if you walked into Hugo Boss for a leather jacket and found out it was made in Bali. Same thing here man.
