  2. I think nengun has them kits listed as discontinued I know the s13 chassis is newer than the 31, but the s13 chassis has a section of rail missing, does anyone know what was the purpose of this design? 2 full rails are found on the USDM s13 240sx and aftermarket bracing is available in this area for JDM versions. Does the a31 have this missing section? s13 Chassis
  3. Hey guys, ive searched everywhere but cant seem to find much info at all regarding/comparing late 80s early 90s nissan chassis stiffness'. I understand that nissan focused on stiffening for the r33 and s14, but were the 32 an s13 still relatively stiff chassis for their time/market? Also what about r31 vs r32 seeing as they share wheelbases? 31 vs s13? maybe some first hand experiences? Modern chassis stiffness is often measured in Nm/degree of twist, i dont suppose there was any similar information like this available for our cars? Thanks, Dom
  4. mx7 is designed to be used with a 9" flywheel from memory, which is .5" bigger than rb25 flywheel, i am unsure of how a 25 starter would mesh with the mx7 flywheel even if you could get the holes to match up
  5. 1 piece tailshafts in 31s are fine, diff and gearbox angles suit a 1 piece and there is no clearance issues with the floorpan (unless its DUMPED with 4 blokes in it) however, they do need to be balanced correctly i have one in mine and its great
  6. still have complete rear subframe including diff shafts hubs and arms?
  7. thanks mate, i measured them with a ruler and got those figures but wanted to be sure b4 going out to buy some sockets, cheers
  8. Hey everyone, what socket sizes do i need to take off the drive shaft outer nuts ( one with split pins in them ) and also the large nut that holds that anchor thing that attaches to the handbrake mechanism ( large bolt towards top centre of rear knuckle. lol hope this makes sence thanks in advance
  9. Same thing happened to me, if ur wheels permit, grind a slit in the nut, grab a cold chisel and a shifter. Stick the cold chisel in the slot but dont grab the shaft of teh chisel (shifter will just open, spanners will snap etc ), grab it fairly close to the tip where its flat. also we used a piece of wood to lever against the back of the chisel to stop it slipping out of the groove. also if its the last nut on the wheel usually if the wheel is off the ground u can get about 1mm movement by wobbling the wheel back and forward, every bit counts.
  10. thanks mate, appreciate it
  11. im actually after the spacing between the 2 mounting points for the caliper
  12. Yes ive searched but cannot find a definitive answer as i am doing some custom work, is the rear caliper spacing 114 or 114.3? thanks
  13. Next VL, i hear that alot and shake my head, the vl has one thing XR6T doesn't, a reliable donk. there only a few years old and there already dying, even ask fordmods.com, they go alright, but for how long.
  14. What really grinds my gears is teh biker in his late 40s up the road with some kind of meth lab in his back shed, every other day theres at least one, "undercover" cop parked in a VE outside my house watching his place, makes me kinda uneasy parking my car a few meters away from him when its so defectable General attitude of cops in Port Augusta and how many there are, in southern suburbs u can drive for hours without seeing a cop, there everywhere up here.
  15. Hey, my first post here, just woundering what parts differ between the GTS-T and GT-R in teh front end of an R32. I was looking at using an Rb25det gearbox, would a gts-t tailshaft fit from an r32, or teh is the 25det box longer? also what sump could be used as a direct bot on? or will a rwd drive one have to modified, is there any other differences between the rwd and fwd drive models regarding the front end? cheers, dom
