  1. Tractive effort curves are the best - i.e. torque at the road. e.g.: You see how tractive effort decreases in each gear, and you should change up when the lower gear curve drops as low as the next gear's tractive effort... Cheers Rog
  2. Not sure of what exactly needs done to rev high, but probably stronger crank bearings for a start... As for the change point, you are always going to accelerate faster by revving an engine out, due to the increase in tractive effort (torque applied to the road) in a lower gear - gears are just torque multipliers... Revs are a very good way to more power - which is just a factor of torque x revs - my T78 spools after 5k (maybe 4.5k in higher gears) and would be a pain to drive if the engine wasn't built for 8500rpm... Cheers Rog
  3. Hi! I've recently bought an R32, and it has a couple of guages not working It has an HKS EGT guage - this does not illuminate and shows no signs of life at all - does any one have a wiring diagram for this? I have a multimeter, so can check various things out with that, if anyone has any suggestions? (pics below) Also, the standard fit oil temp guage does not work - where is the sender located, please (I have a relocated oil filter, so can't go by that )... Thanks for any help! Cheers Rog EGT Guage: Wiring:
