  1. Early model cv/half shafts have the moving joint on the wheel side and later model types have the moving part on the wheel side. Do i have this statement right?
  2. As title says im after a set of half shafts to suit an R200 diff on an R30 with the 6 bolt flanges. If anyone knows of where i can find some or know someone with some would be a great help. Cheers

  4. Thats a nice install, well done! So much room to work on. you gotta love that. I had no problem with the tacho. Mine works fine with the rb30et factory ecu. Only thing i have trouble with is the water, but i just use an aftermarket guage for that.

  6. ive got the pedders lowered springs for the r30. They are pretty much brand new. But they are low. Ive also got a set of standard springs cut down to a nice height.
  7. Ive got a set of new front discs that have been slotted. Only done about 15000km on them. No track work or hard braking. I bought them for $240 you can have them for $150 posted.
  8. the conversion is easy enough to do withough any hassle. Only thing is waiting for the right hubs at the right price. i managed to pick up a set of hubs, sr20det calipers and discs, s13 rear discs with s15 rear calipers for $150!!! Check the nissansilvia forums. there are always guys doing s14/s15 5 stud conversions selling their s13 gear!
  9. Im not sure? Never thought if putting it upside down. I think it will still miss as it will go on too much missing the hole again. Its an easy fix anyway. Counter sink a hole just about 3mm down. Then it will fit perfectly. Easiest way i worked out. Retaining the r30 tie rod ends.
  10. I was told that you cannot repress s13 tie rod end ball joints into r30 ones. To make the r30 tie rod ends fit the s13 ones you can counter sink a hole in the top which enables you to get the nut down enough onto the tie rod end so you can get the split pin through. Only has to be drilled a about 3mm.

  15. my guess is the alarm. id rip it out and go over all the wires. there really arent that many, might take half a day. i know that alarms with bad wiring can turn bad after a while. had a problem like that in my sisters magna, eveytime shed go over a speed bump the hazards would flash. ripped out the alarm and fixed the problem.
  16. On the topic of 5 stud conversion. If you can find some Z31 stub axles maybe they can replace the R30 ones? They look the same, whether they have the same dimensions is another story i guess..
  17. i just had my s13 hubs machined to fit the R30 tie rod ends. Took it to an engineer/machinist and he had the simple idea of countersinking a hole where the nut goes for the TRE so that you can get the nut down enough to pass the split pin through. Simple, easy and most importantly it works! Only had to countersink about 2.6mm. Saves trying to die grind the whole bigger and making a mess of it.

  19. Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows where i can source a set of gears for an R200 long nose with the 12mm holes. Something either 3.7 or 3.54/3.45?? Cheers

  23. Jeezuz!! Thats a HARD hit. You pretty much stuffed up everything possible in the front end. Even the strut tower?? How fast were you going??
  24. and you snapped it? Those things are thick and solid as! Thats some serious strain. Ive bent one, and that was due to smashing a gutter years ago, but didnt think it would be breakable!
