careful, dont be a hero.. if you decide to take the them on, u better have some serious proof, because their job is to make the road safe.. hate them as much as u do, but there is nothing wrong in what they did, they're not qualified mechanics hence why they need to send any suspicious vehicles through the pitts if they think its not road worthy. especially with hoon laws etc. anyone who owns an import with bad driving record doesnt really help aswell. u really need to have plenty of docs to back up ur case. bcoz once you try to take them on and lose, u will be, and trust me on this one, ull be on their hit list.. and im talking giving u more hassle when they see ur plates or similar cars on the road.

my mates a coppa, and he told me himself they got a target to achieve daily before they can head back (to prove their doing their job) it was just ur unlucky day, they just probably needed something to report back with, hence why they didnt care about actually measuring the height of ur car or even bother writing the right rego. best thing to do is just go to d pits and just take d sticker off. if everything is legal then ur good anyway. better luck next time

i drive a series 2 none turbo r33, n recently its been playing up on me, wen i cruise from gear 1 2 and 3 (sometimes even 4 and 5) da exhaust pops, as if its coughing, causin da car to lag/back fire slightly, eg. it would puff 3 times on 3rd gear and den cruise nicely after. can anione tell me wats wrong wit it? im gona have it majorly serviced as soon as possible. but ide feel better knowing wat causing this. cheers for ani help mike

doesnt the half cut come with clutch, since ders gear box etc. so da basic thing i need is rear diff and brakes, better suspention etc.

i COULD do that, but it would take out the challenge of doing this actual project. i wanna see how much a GTS can pull wen u do a GTR conversion, and its never been done in my area. this car has been good to me, and im just doing it a favour by giving her more attention. cheers for the advice tho.

yea with that, if i wanted to change the brakes i would have to get the 5 stud conversion, coz da rims would b in da way... da brakes rite now r WAY too small, n too dangerous, anione suggest good brakes for gtr's? i was thinking of getting brembo brakes.... for dats da best one i know? (i have no idea how much power my new engine is gona pull, but brembo will make sure i stop wen i want to.. lol) cheers to all da suggestions, animore would b great

hey hows it going, im about to turbo up my baby, ive got a series 2 r33 (N/A) and im buying an rb26dett half cut off a r33 gtr, and i was wondering if ppl can give me opinions about this. im buying da half cut for $5500, and installed for $1500. i know all da goodies i can get out of a twin turbo engine, but i need to know all da negative sides about it? or atleast negative sides of getting a convertion. any suggestions of help would b much apreciated! cheers mike

man.... ur all lucky... gtr for a first car.. :S i got a GTS r33 series 2 and im paying $600 with HBF lol my mate is paying $1400 for a r33 GTR heehe go with the HBF!!! newaiz, im trying to get a r33 half cut GTR.... kinda having a hard time.. coz ppl been telling me its gona be a bitch maintaning it... but im planning to spend around 6k for the half cut, and my mechanic is hooking me up with installments and performance parts for another 6k (the same mechaninc that worked on "sleekGTS") so u ppl reckon dats reasonable? ani comments would be appriciatable! cheers :lol:
