  11. my greddy type R bov makes that noise but also, a metal intake pipe with a pod with no bov will make that type of noise too
  12. can i just use any washer, cause i couldnt find any washers that thick. i even tried conventry fasteners. might have to go to nissan for them
  13. yeah nice one there andrew haha. i dont need to know sizes here i have already taken everything off. so do them up pretty tight, guess i would also need to get washers tooo with the high tensile nuts???
  14. hey guys and gals i am changing over all my studs and replacing the ex manifold gaskets on my rb20. first thing i am wondering the gasket kit that i got its got both the whole 6 all the together gasket one and also the 6 individal gaskets, which one is better to use??? i am replacing all the studs also since i already had a few broken ones so might as well replace them all. is there anything else i could be doing when fitting up the new ones? well since i had a few broken studs i am missing a few nuts and washers can i just go to my local hardware store and get like stainless steel nuts and washers?? last thing. the tensions, when i was taking all the turbo, dump, ex manifold i did spray wd40 on all the nuts before taking them off and all, just when i went to take them off there wasnt much effort in taking them off at all, like i didnt have to even crack loose a nut, it was just a lil too easy, soooooo how tight do i really have to do themm upp thanks
  15. there has to be another way, like using a voltimeter using the resistants on it etc etc
  16. i think you are talking about the idle screw. and yes i do disconnect the tps when i try adjust the idle still, the rpm stays the same. yes it fires up straight away onces its warm. battery is like 3months old and its massive, 4x4 battery. dont ask why i just replaced the same battery that was in there before what i would also like to do, what is the difference with cold and warm starts, like with cold starts does it give less air cause its cold which means the air would be denser??
  17. what i got told with the harnesses is that they might be adr approved but doesnt mean you can wear them on the streets, reason being most people wear their harness but they dont wear them tight enough, so they can reach their stereo, ac ect. so if you were in a accident and you jolt forward your body is just going to slam into the harness instead of actually keeping your seat still.
  18. what i mean about calibration is so the tps is sending the right signals to the ecu cause at the moment i think the tps is out of its right position, meaning that is prob sending a signal that the throttle is like 5% open when its actually closed. i just want to know how to set the tps back to the right position so its like 0% thorttle and the ecu is actually reading 0% thorttle get me?
  19. gave them both a clean, still the same, is there a way to check if the air reg and iac valve are working properly?
  20. yeah check the fuses, it will be a fuse if your rear wipers dont work also
  21. its been a while does anyone know??
  22. yeah i will give them both a good clean today
  23. well new coilpacks fixed the misfiring prob. no difference with the cold start yeah when i do the idle adjust. car is prob reving around 900rpm take the tps plug off the car raises idle tp about 1200-1300 when i screw in the idle screw the rpm dont change at all. even tho the screw is all the way in too.
