  1. AFAIK, there's an option in the Admin CP that allows you to set IP bans. I have also heard that it is quite buggy and doesn't always translate correct subnetting and can ban entire classes instead  The best way to ban people is through a simple .htaccess file put into the root directory that contains: Deny from 128.1.1.1 (for the host 128.1.1.1) Deny from 214.12.34 (for the subnet 214.12.34.0/24) Deny from 10 (for the whole 10.0.0.0/8 subnet)
  2. You came up in conversation at an SAU Monthly dinner, where we sometimes talk about.................... SAU (and it's IQ-challenged members ) But yeah, you're right... My skyline only puts out about 200kw@flywheel, but I bought it stock and modified it myself. I guess I could always go and find someone else's car and buy that. That way I could buy my way into power without actually knowing anything about cars, or being able to drive them down the 1/4 mile myself But I'm not sure what the power of my skyline has to do with anything? Is that the only thing you have over us? I guess it is, because intelligence definitely isn't on that list, otherwise you'd have quickly figured out why you were getting banned from repeated warnings and stop it. In any case, as I said, you're just annoying. It's more about the scammers and people who blatantly rip others off like doridori/mines_datsun that just prance around bans that worry me. Their actions don't just annoy people, they actually put people out of pocket of their hard-earned money.
  3. Muffinboy can make anything work Do eeeet.... Do eet nowwwww!!!!
  4. Actually, it's got EVERYTHING to do with the tuner
  5. The higher the compression you run, the lower the detonation threshold. i.e. The less boost you can run before you'll start running into detonation problems. I have never heard ANY tuner who knows his conrod from his clutch say that they can't run more than 13.5psi boost with a stock engine because the compression is too high. I ran 1.2 bar (17.5psi) on my old GTS-t (I didn't want to run more because it was my daily driver and I didn't want to push the engine too much) and it made 280rwkw. The new owner ran it upto 1.5 bar (21.5 psi) also on the stock engine, and stock compression. 13.5psi = too much? Sounds like tuner limitation, not compression limitation to me
  6. You want the racing calipers anyway. The weight advantage of the racing calipers are probably the best performance gain you'll get from the brake upgrade Besides having all the fan-boys drooling on them, that is. P.S. My AP 6 pots were road ones and heavy Doughboy/Muffinboy has some racing AP 6 pots for sale. Go get those you nugget.
  7. It was all an evil ploy to exclude Mal and his 4 door falcodore from our dinners :devil2: :devil2: Actually I just started the thread asking if there was a monthly dinner planned, and it turned into the planning thread
  8. I don't really understand it. Mirko, AKA mirkop, nicknick, wreckedhead, and now always_me has just flaunted his bans and just created new accounts. Accounts that were known to be AE's (alter egos) but we don't ban his AE accounts? Not just him specifically, I'm just using him as an example because he came up in conversation last night. Same could be said about Alex/AnthonyK1/mines_datsun/redfc/etc etc... wreckedhead is just annoying, but Alex is ripping people off and we still don't ban him when we know it's him again with another AE account?
  9. Funny... You seem to have the same mobile number as Mirko (AKA wreckedhead) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ight=0425239844 I wonder if I call that number whether or not I'll be buying a pitbull or an R32?
  10. Thanks for that mate... Would probably help interstate buyers a lot if you could do the compression test and swing by a panel beater and ask them if it's been in any accidents... Would make the decision to fly over to Melbourne that much easier if those two factors were known
  11. Can you please tell us a bit more about the car to help interstate people a bit more? Scratches or dents? Has the car been in any accidents? Resprayed? Compression tested the engine? Leak down? etc?
  12. If you're an SAU NSW Club Financial Member, you get a discount at Whiteline.
  13. I don't need any at this time, but I might in the near future Can you get a business card or details of the distributor when you go get yours please? Pics would be good too
  14. Stock compression?
  15. Youch. Bonnet pins > you
  16. I'm gonna wander around with my camera instead Thanks for the offer though Mark!
  17. I'll come out for a sticky-beak... No car for me unfortunately
  18. Well it's no-one's R33 at the moment, other than the panel beater's He's still waiting for the wheels to come back mate Nothing we can do until they get returned... Don't worry though, it'll be worth it... The car will look eleventy billion times better with nicely polished wheels
  19. $60 each? Yeah I knew it was something like that. Hmmm... I may have undercut myself
  20. If what was said was indeed true, that is a valid defence against a defamation law suit. If you have a right to say it, you have a legal defence. There are three main types of defence against a libel (published defamation) or slander (oral defamation): * what you said was true; * you had a duty to provide information; * you were expressing an opinion. For example: * You can defend yourself on the grounds that what you said is true. * If you have a duty to make a statement, you may be protected under the defence of "qualified privilege." For example, if you are a teacher and make a comment about a student to the student's parents -- for example, that the student has been naughty -- a defamation action can only succeed if they can prove you were malicious. You are not protected if you comment about the student in the media. * If you are expressing an opinion, for example on a film or restaurant, then you may be protected by the defence of "comment" or "fair comment," if the facts in your statement were reasonably accurate. * There is an extra defence if you are a parliamentarian and speak under parliamentary privilege, in which case your speech is protected by "absolute privilege," which is a complete defence in law. The same defence applies to anything you say in court. The same basic defences apply throughout Australia, although the things you have to prove to apply them may differ. For example, in some Australian states, truth alone is an adequate defence. In other states, a statement has to be true and in the public interest -- if what you said was true but not considered by the court to be in the public interest, you can be successfully sued for defamation.
  21. My R33 GTR is indeed registered as a sedan
  22. Before we move on, lets see some links to For Sale threads where you have bought some parts off SAU forumers and got ripped off. I think you're a compulsive liar, and you just don't know when to stop. It's a really terrible affliction you have there mate....... and what's worse, is that you think other people are as stupid as you are and that we'll believe your blatantly obvious lies. Seriously. Grow up.
