  1. I'll be leaning on my lovely grandmother who lives on a great big, bloody massive property, to provide shelter for my toys Okay bitches, I'll look again at the Patrol option
  2. Lets just say, that if I had the budget, the cars of choice would be: Porsche Cayenne Turbo or Turbo S VW Toureg V10 Toyota Prado Turbo Diesel ........... but I'll be driving this car about once or twice a month on average, so I'm not about to spend any meaningful amount of funny money on it. The Hilux is a good option. I'll have a quick look around. I had a look at Patrols, but they were all very expensive compared to what you get for half the price in a Jeep Grand Chickadee...
  3. Edited, because I can't link to the carsales site images
  4. Link to ad? How many kms? Email me lots and lots and lots of pics. You know how anal I am... The more detail in the pics the better blackberry aaaaaat andrewho dawt com
  5. OR......... do I forgo the "semi-cool" tow car, and opt for something of similar coin, in a 2001-2002 WG Jeep Grand Cherokee? 4.7L V8... Nice amount of torque... 3500kg towing capacity!!!
  6. So...... My car has evolved into something that I definitely don't want to drive on the road anymore, so I need to look for a tow car. There are some very good deals on 2001-2002 VX Clubsport R8s are the moment, with most people asking around the $17-18k mark. I know that there are quite a few people on here that tow using Holden or Ford V8s, and I wanted to get your opinions on them. Are they suitable to tow a 500kg trailer and 1500kg worth of car and accessories? That's 2000kgs being towed by a 1700-1800kg car. Not ideal, right?
  7. You know what... This nugget could REALLY benefit from some -5's
  8. They're sitting there waiting for you fatness Some things, you need to open up the wallet and pony up cash for! $2k and they're yours.
  9. Depends what you mean by "fit"... To make it so that the wheel and tyres can completely disappear into the guard without touching, you will either need to do: 1. guard rolling AND lots of negative camber 2. a little bit of guard flaring
  10. Nothing wrong with that at all, but this thread is about track cars... Not road cars that get a punt around the track now and again
  11. pwned.
  12. Anyone have any experience with alu trailers? Would they be as durable as steel ones?
  13. Yeah, they're pretty expensive... I saw a demo Kwikload trailer advertised on eBay for $7000. Looked the goods though! What about these ones? http://www.tiltatrailer.com.au/ I need a light trailer.... 400kg to 500kg.... and it has to be dual axle for stability.
  14. Was the link to the in-car footage from the TMR EVO posted in this thread? I can't seem to find it.
  15. White is a relatively rare colour. I'm sure someone can post up the percentage splits, but there are TONS more gunmetal grey R32 GTRs made than other colours.
  16. I have to admit, that I regret developing an R32 GTR as a track car. Although I knew what I was getting myself into, in terms of financial outlay, I feel that I could have gotten a hell of a lot more "bang for buck" elsewhere. If you really do have the $100-150k budget to build a top shelf GTR track/time attack car, there are much better options out there. For instance, a Porsche GT3 Cup car.... There are hundreds to chose from now the series has died. Heaps are listed at $99,000 asking, and aren't moving, due to severe lack of interest and the whole GFC bullsh1t... These are $250-300k cars, which you can pick up for $80-85k. Less if you find a desperate seller. Bulletproof engines, and sizzling lap times for a relatively small entry price. Would make one HELL of a time attack and supersprint car. Oh well. I'm still young. After I'm done playing with this toy, I'll move on to much better starting platforms
  17. Which is.............. BS Detector?
  18. PURE PORNO! Please make a new build thread in Forced Induction forum with lots of pics as this car is being pieced together!
  19. So what happens if you get the car up to 100km/h and stomp (and I mean STOMP!!!!!) on the brake?
  20. Not too bad at all... I might be employing their services in the near future
  21. Okay, no probs... How long did the process from drop off to pickup?
  22. Indicative price on how much this work would cost from Detroit? edit: Nice work on the front guards. The finish is fantastic, but it doesn't look like they pumped up the rear enough. The outer rim of the wheel is still a good 1cm past the guard.
