  1. It's seemingly impossible for anyone in the media to research historical facts properly when it comes to these cars. Can't believe the amount of inaccurate information I've read over the years. Oh well, at least the editor has the balls to put a Gibson GTR on the cover and run a story on it. I've been waiting for a certain other magazine to do this but I'll stop holding my breath on that one.
  2. Has everyone seen the 1st edition of Motorsport Legends magazine? Shouldn't be too hard to spot with GIO GTR on the cover! Great pics inside. Cheers
  3. Very sad news indeed. Far too young. Anders raced at Bathurst with the Factory Nissan squad with some success as well. R.I.P
  4. Nice pics B.J. I'll see if I can find the video I took from DECA with all the race cars circulating and post it up as well.
  5. Wheels article about the end of the best era in Australian motorsport. I may of course, be slightly biased.
  6. Adelaide International Raceway 1986. Check out young Mr Seton standing next to car.
  7. Some of you may remember a certain young fellow called Mark Skaife wrote off a Gibson GTR at the AGP in 1990. It looked like this when he had finished. One of my work mates gave me these photos today. Check out the scrape marks on whats left of the roof. Ouch!
  8. A very interesting article from Wheels '91. Wonder if there was any sandbagging going on during the tests around the mountain? Enjoy.
  9. My father took these pics in Rundle Mall during the 1993 AGP in Adelaide. I guess GIO wanted some exposure for the advertising dollars even if the car hadn't raced for nearly 12 months. Can't really see enough to tell whether it's a show car or the real thing ( I guess not many show cars get fitted with air jacks), but I'll take one anyway .
  10. I believe this is the car that was just sold by Terry Ashwood. Would have been a bloody good buy at the time. Taken from AA June '92
  11. That's a fair bit of the Gibson stuff gone (or going) from Terry. Still has more than enough exotic road/race cars than most of us could imagine and a true gentleman to go with it. Here's the front cover report from AA from Bathurst '92. Those were the days.
  12. Is the collection being broken up? Does Terry still have the cars on display? Haven't spoken to him for ages. As far as i know the Formula Holden had been de-commissioned as a race car.
  13. Having problem downloading, "save to" bit not coming up at all on site. Any suggestions? Hooray, now sorted.
  14. Nice toys in the pics. Good luck with everything over there.
  15. In light of the amount of cars being stolen, can I suggest blanking No. plates and being careful about talking about home suburbs. Where you have a daily you probably have a loved one (skyline, etc). By the way, love the wagon. Sorry to sound a bit anal, but had some INTERESTING pm in regards to the car I have for sale.
  16. That's the spirit How quickly people forget the young Glenn Seton crossed up around the Mountain in the wet driving one of these beasts. Wanna go halves? :laughing-smiley-014:
  17. The owner of this car also has the GIO GT-R. Ex-Gibson employee. Lots of work done to bring this car back to "as raced" spec. Actually got to see this car, the Winfield GT-R and one of the R31 T/Cars running around DECA in Shepp. at the Skyline Nationals. Very nice. All 3 owners are some of the nicest guys you're likely too meet.
  18. 1st bump
  19. A few more pics
  20. PM heading your way. Cheers Geoff
  21. I'll PM you and try and organise something. Cheers Geoff
  22. Hi Ben, as tempting as that sounds I really need to put some cash into the bank rather than taking more out. Probably should be more specific in the original post. Stunning bike all the same. Cheers Geoff
  23. Suspension bushes and timing belt. All parts already purchased (Whiteline bushes from SK Group Buy & Belt/Tensioners) ready to be fitted, just never had the time to get into Adelaide to have them done properly. Attessa system needs bleeding for air bubbles. Cheers
  24. As title states, my GT-R is on the market. Follow link for details. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...Gt-t193855.html Please PM for details. Cheers
