  1. looks good. I'm also waiting on parts for my GTR Xmas really sux
  2. getting a few bolt ons for my GTR soon and i've purchased most of the parts. Here they are 34 N1 turbs trust dumps/fronts PFC cat exhaust JB clutch bosch 040 sard 700 inj THe last thing i don't have is a boost controller. I haven't decieded between the turbotech one ($22) or a EBC. Can someone explain the pro and cons of both and if the EBC is a better way to go, should i go for the apexi one or somthing else. Thanks.
  3. I just ordered the trust dumps/fronts as well. The main reason for going this setup is that the split a long way down.
  4. Do i need to go EBC or just stick with a bleed valve
  5. Injectors should be fine. I'm not chasing anymore power.
  6. Hi, I've just purhcased the following parts Power FC R34 N1 turbos trust dumps and front pipe catco cat i've got a stardard R32 at the moment. what kind of power can i expect from this setup (safely) Also, will the stardard clutch hold? should i wait for it to start sliping then get a new jim berry one?
  7. The cooling seems ok, i've driving to SA (from melb) on boost most of the way for 8 hours on a 37 degree day and the car ran without any probs. I do understand that these things get old.
  8. I did wash the engine bay before this started happening, does that have anything to do with it? Am i better off getting new coils with the plugs?
  9. Thanks, advise taken. I don't think these power figures i'm chasing are crazy and most of the stock components should be able to take it. At the moment i've settled on - Trust extension dumps & front pipes - CATCO high flow cat What brand of cat back is really quite with a nice exhaust note? i've heard all the jap ones are pretty loud exept fujitsubo.
  10. I replaced the plugs about 15,000km ago and i'm runnng standard coils Does regaping plugs solve this problem or is it just banaid solution. Also, roughly how much are new coils?
  11. I've noticed that my GTR's acceleration in second is no longer smooth. It starts boosting and then suddenly drops for a split second and then again and again all the way to the redline.Does any one know what could be causing this. I did take the boost restrictor out but it was fine for ages before this happeed.
  12. Wy upgrade the radiator? never had any cooling issues with the stock one.
  13. Changing the timing belt is the first thing i did.
  14. i'm pretty set on getting a pfc, don't think remapping the stock ecu is the best option. Its just not flexible. its just over the 100,000K mark, i've done the service and replaced the water pump. The car is in excellent condition. Not chasing huge power, 230-250 rwkw would be heaps is it really worth $1000 for the dumps and front pipe? If it doesn't give heaps more power but adds excellent response, i'll look into it.
  15. what type of clutch is that?
  16. Don't have 10k unfortunaly Anyway, if i were to go the 3" cat back \ cat trust extension front pipes power fc jim berry clutch whoud i be needing any others on the list like fuel pump and injectors? don't want crazy power Any roughly how much are each parts + how long to fit and tune.
  17. can we have some serious replays
  18. Hi, i currently have a stock R32GTR Vspec with stock everything. I've boosted the turbos by removing the restrictor and think its time for some more power. I want the car to be a street car as i'm going to use it everyday. At the moment, i'm thinking exhaust (heard that the stock cat back is not bad, should i keep this?) cat front pipe dump pipe Power FC Clutch Mild tune What parts and where do you guys recommend? and also is there anything i'm missing from this list? I want to make sure the car doesn't suffer from drivability or the stock look. Any help would be great
  19. Right on the money there, but gtst is ok for the road, especially if its fairly stock. Got enough power, enough room and good comfort. For just a everyday car, can't go past little 4 cycs! I drove a yaris recently and did 250 km for $12
  20. To be honest, if you are going to use it as a everyday car, stick with a gtst. They are much more usable for everyday driving. The GTR is great but is wasted on the roads. Thats my opinion. I've got a 32GTR btw. In terms of costs, it shouldn't be too different from a gtst, if its a very clean example. Otherwise, it will cost a arm and a leg. On a cruise or down at the track, its definately the right car! I drive mine everyday and would prefer something that is a bit more responsive and comfortable as a everday car. I'm thinking of getting a yaris Its much friendlier on the wallet and you don't have to worry as much when driving around.
  21. Its black, its got brembos. I havn't checked the VIN but 99% sure its a Vspec. This one was imported for me so it wasn't for sale. Its been a really good buy, very happy with it.
  22. 13.53 to be exact, thats what mine did. Who knows, every car is different, some might struggle to get mid 14s
  23. I'm going to move my GTR off the street and into the Garage after reading this, scary stuff
  24. Z tune, only 20 made and its nismo so its as good as factory.
  25. Thats too bad mate, sorry to see that. But no insurance? I had a mate that had a silvia 1.8NA and he didn't buy insurance either because he never thought he needed it, wrote it off 1 week later sad but true. At least none of you were hurt thats the important thing. Can't really insure life even though there is life insurnace
