  1. I got my R32 Vspec from there early this year, i've been reallly happy with the car, absolutely spot on. I've know the guy for a while now and his very helpful. The mechanic that works there knows his imports too.
  2. Agreed. But serious, i think the law is fair. If you hoon, you pay the penalties. I've had a R32 GTR for 6 months now and i seriously drive it like a baby. I got pulled over on the 2nd day after i got it for a "random" inspection, but had the RWC on me so nothing happened. Then i've never been pull over again because i don't try to seek attention towards by self.
  3. You just flick a switch. Hard reboot, same as a desktop.
  4. Found this a few days ago click I gave the company a ring and they told me they needed a demo car for Autosalon. I've got a black R32GTR Vspec in good condition & was thinking about getting one of these units anyway so i can run the consult software on it and have a very nice A/V-GPS unit in the car. Question is do you think a 32 is a little old to be a show car?
  5. OK, no one wants it? what about for $100
  6. Here are the pics you been waiting for, it will explain everything.
  7. Its black and its quite damaged. There is no Lip and No grill
  8. For sale is a Genuine R32 GTR frount bar. Its off my car and some one backed into it. the bar is in a repairable condition. I'm in Melbourne and pick up is welcome. I'll post some pics tomorrow when i have access to a camera $120.00
  9. i got a 93 R32 Vspec and its been a really great car. Bought it 4 months ago on 90,000KM and i've done the 100K service. Its completely stock and has never given me grief. Service it and it will last for ages. I get around 430 KM for 60ltrs of petrol as well so its not awful. I love it, its got the Brembos and also the faster altessa system like the 33. I think its just like a early model 33 but better looking. Oh and there were only 1453 made so it will hold value better than the 33.
  10. I've got EBC Red Stuff on a 32 GTR Vspec with Brembos. THey really impressed me at the start but don't feel like to grip much from cold anymore. They still work supurb at high speeds once they have a little heat in them.
  11. I want to transport my car from melbourne to Bris on the train. Does anyone know which company offers such services?
  12. touch screens are pretty touch and can operate around 60 deg range. I don't think anyones car gets close to that.
  13. OK, GT-SS seems to be the pick. Thanks for all the info, i'll have a look around for prices in the next few days
  14. Sounds like GT-SS it is. How much do they go for? Also what about just high flowing the stockies with steel wheels and ball bearings
  15. I'll release a few screen shots of the inteface in the next few days. Get your feed back. iBurst will definately be futured aswell. Using windows while driving is a very bad idea. Its not designed for touchscreen use, the front end will solve this problem.
  16. What kind of RWK will be seen from GT-SS. I'm chasing around 300 with near stock drivability
  17. Car computing is really tricky and many thingings can go wrong. Our products will be suitable for both the main stream and hardcore. We have designed our own interface for the car PC which runs on top of windows (front end) This makes it really easy to navigate while driving. We'll support things out of the box like GPS mp3 playback Divx, mpg, Xvid, HD TV bluetooth BT phone kit WiFi iPod integration Performance tuning & monitoring Motorsied screens are the easy option, just intall it into a single DIN slot and your off. Stand along LCDs need more work (integrate into console). Theres advantages in both, thats why we're going to offer both.
  18. Would they spool before the stock turbos? much difference in high end power?
  19. But the whole idea of a car computer is that it is just like a normal computer. If you use a custom operation system, it defeats of the whole idea. Why not just go and get a pioneer DVD player. The beautiful thing about a carputer is that you can add the software and hardware yourself and make it fully to your liking.
  20. Our carputer are designed to be run in a car so its different to a desktop PC. For example, it runs of 12V DC and includes a startup and shutdown controller. This means that you can turn your car on the computer detects that the car ign is on and turns on. It will boot and go straight into the frontend and start playing music without touching any other buttons. When you turn your car off, the computer will detect this aswell and will shut down windows automatically before the power is cut. Installation is the same as other car audio equipment, just hook up power, ground and ign and off you go. I don't know the exact price beucase there are so many options avaliable. I'll keep everyone posted close to the release date.
  21. What about high flow or N1s
  22. The company i work for are working on a production ready carputer and will be released around Sep this year. It will be ready to install out of the box so there is no mucking around with software, front ends, etc. It will make carputers accessible to the mainstream. Supported features are: Comupter specs: Windows XP with custom touch screen frontend (easy to use while driving) 7" touchscreen or motorised 7" touchscreen 40GB Harddrive (other options avaliable on request) 4 USB 2.0 ports 2 firewire ports DVD burner What you can do - store upto 15,000 mp3s - GPS - much better than the hand held ones (includes speed camera database!) - Divx, Xvid, mpeg video playback - bluetooth phone integration - like a bluetooth car kit - reverse camera - ECU diognostics and live tuning (though nissan consult port in this case, very cool!) - WiFi internet - anyother program that runs on Windows XP! It will be launched at the Adelide AutoSalon
  23. I've recently bought a 93 Vspec and its been a very good and reliable car. No problems so far. I've just done the 100K service and replaced the normal bits and pieces. 89s are generally in poor condition, go and have a look at some late model ones. They are expensive but worth the extra money IMO. Or import you own, some workshops in VIC and QLD can complience late model ones.
