  1. Thanks for the heads up, ive seen that post before but for the life of me could re-find it again!!! Anyways, thanks for the info, but is there any other way that you klnow about, i wasnt keen on taking the incooler off right now....? might just shield it and see how that goes! Ahhhh and guys, i can't seem to find the link that i mentioned earlier about the clear pod filter box on ebay anymore, sorry. Kind regards, Evan
  2. Hey guys, just to throw it out there for everyone, has anyone tried a front mounted (behind the bumber) pod filter. Im keen to extend the air intake under the front bumper or behind the front grill (R33 series 1) to increase my cool air intake. Im not keen on travelling too far on hot days and givin' the car "a full foot" of red hot air!!! Ive had a look in the engine bay and can't really see a hole / gap to fit a 4" pipe or tube from the air flow meter to the front bumber. I know that supercheap auto and autobarn have extention kits for the air intake but seriously......but i cant find anywhere for it to go!!! Any suggestions would be awesome....oohh and pics if ya have em!!! Kind Regards, Evan
  3. Hi guys and girls, i got a mint set of 4 stud tyres from Speed dreamz (not in operation anymore) for my R33 N/A. They came from tempe tyres in sysdney (i think) and they in turn got them from USA. Im positive that the stud pattern was created here in adelaide......or sydney as they stuffed up the alignment initially and said they had to go back for re-drilling. Whole process from asking to buy the rims to having them on my car (correctly) took about 2 months. So long story short if your happy to wait a while there is decent range out there if you just ask. Kind regards, Evan
  4. I like mine, funnily enough. Still have to lower it (happening in Jan) aprox 1 1/2 inches and get a few marks off the rear where ive been badged, bloody idiots but anyways!!! http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b258/EMZ...nt=IMG_2523.jpg http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b258/EMZ...nt=IMG_2533.jpg http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b258/EMZ...nt=IMG_2524.jpg http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b258/EMZ...nt=2ff63464.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b258/EMZ...nceptWithPi.jpg Suppose there just jealous!!! 5. Hi guys, i had a unifilter pannel filter (wet) and it started to disrupt my air flow meter and my ride (R33 GTS) defulted to limp home mode every 5 or 6 starts (starts and holds in 3rd gear auto trans). I stuck a Hurricaine racing pod filter on (dry filter) and havent had any issues with my air flow meter or any of the above. The Hurricaine filter also makes a great noise........and is massive and red so it looks good too!!!! Kind regards, Evan PS) oohhh and about the dry Vs wet filter Although i had a pannel filter as apposed to the pod, i kept finding the oil in the bottom of the pannel filter box, along the air flow meter and throughout the air intake piping leading towards the throtle. Gave it all a good clean out and since ive put the new dry hurricaine pod in i have had any buildup of oil (funnily enough!!!) Hope this helps
  6. Ahhhh i see, thanks RB30 Power for the info, well that was a short lasting idea i had!!! Thought i could make the engine bay lok a little more agressive, haha!! In the end sounds like a stupid idea really! Kind regards, Evan
  7. Nuh, have a look at the following link, this might help ya see what i mean. I think they would look mint under the bonnet in full view to match my Hurricaine Pod Air Filter but will they be of any benifit....thats the real question???? Kind regards, Evan PS) Sorry guys and girls links are not working so i got rid of them. Just go to ebay australia and search for oil breathers, there is only a few of them and they generally come in red or silver.
  8. Hey there, just wondering where you were able to get the piping for the extention for the pod filter. Im keen on mounting my pod lower in the engine bay or even at the front between the front bumper and the body of the car. Also did you have to cut/modify any part of the engine bay to fit the pipe/tubing through to the front L) of your ride. Also have you seen the new clear pod air filter boxes on ebay going around, what do you guys think of these. Search in australia using the words = "clear r33" Kind regards, Evan

  10. Hi all, well as the topic title and description states.........Whats the deal with an oil breather. I was searching ebay (just now actully) and have come across a few of them for abou $20 and was wondering if they would be of any benifit to me and my R33. If anyone has any info on them that would be awesome. And if anyone has a pic or two they would like to share that would be great too. Kind regards, Evan

  13. Hey all, one last post before this saturdays event at Adelaide oval. Id just like to say thank you all very much for all your invlvment and interest in the event so far and im looking foward to a massive turnout. However, as i dont know official numbers i dont knowexactully how many route details to print out so it would be greatly appriciated if you could go to the following link and download the fle that contains the complete directions. http://forum.pulsar.org.au/showthread.php?...427#post1006427 Also i have changed the setup of the awarding of the free service & Tune for the cruise. What i will be doing now is putting everyone who has donated into a draw and at the end of the cruise a no. plate and name will be chosen from a hat/box and they will be the winner. I think this is a little farer for all involved and it makes it a more of a mystery who will win as apposed to the 5 or 10 super saloon type cars that may be there. Again that you all very much and see ya this saturday!!! Kind regards Evan

  15. Thanks dude, When i was looking at purchasing a 33 4 door i wanted something pretty stock and not a "cop magnet". Non turbo (unfortunettly) with a 5 speed auto trans (so ive found to my complete happiness!!), My additions include New box Unifilter air filter, 2 1/14" cat back to a 6" cannon muffler, xenon headlights, rims of course (Verde Scorpion 225 R18's)......and not alot else really. Im really happy with it at the moment and can't complain. Somewhere down the track (if i decide to keep it) i'd like to give her a new paint job (Black with red and white pearl through). OR simple sell and get a black R34GTT with a sunroof. But yeah, like i said, still undecided................but im lovin' the ride and looks i get in this ride, so yeah, happy as!! Kind Regards Evan

  23. Good call Busky2k, AAA were great to me and my ride and although i didnt get my system mandrel bend (if thats the term to use) it still flows and sounds sharp, clear and clean. And yeah, they took my whole setup off my R33 and made it on their garage floor then BANG, straight on!!!! My hat off to the team. Also i should mention Profix at Hilton for the cannon fitting, they were great to deal with as well, and if you dont already know from my "Cruise for a Cause" posting/ event in S.A they are providing a free sercvice and tune for the best car on the day. Please click on the link at the bottom of my posting for more info!!!! Regards Evan
  24. Sorry for the double reply but thought id setup a few pics of the exhaust instead of just talking bout it. Also thought id put this one up too, took it the other day and thought it was a great shot!!! Ohhhh, and i paid $270 for the AAA Exhausts cat back system and another $170 for the fatboy with instalation Total $440!!! All the best, here are some links http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b258/EMZR33/IMG_2523.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b258/EMZR33/IMG_2533.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b258/EMZR33/IMG_2524.jpg Regards Evan
  25. I suppose because im a non-turbo ...........that it wont really apply to you (post maker) but i have 2 1/4 inch cat back with a 5" fat boy pro sitting out the rear of my ride. It sounds great, not too loud, a great klow tone at low revs which eases off as you hit 100 -120kms. Havent been defected and i have freinds who are cops which say that my ride is all good (as far as Db's are concerned). Ohhh and for brand stuff, if your in adelaide AAA exhausts did a great job, no brand name stuff from the cat and the fatboy pro......didnt know much about it before the purchase but it looked awesome and yeah sounds great!!!! Regards Evan
