  1. Your email address is not working. Please update with current email address.

  2. btw forgot to mention, I also asked this question to get people's opinions and the answer from the owner as part of my research.
  3. Finally I got a proper answer - thanks for covering that up. I was just amazed at how raising the price can attract the customers, or how you would target the market. I mean, raising it at such an early stage that is - some stores would rise their prices after a longer period of time once they have built their customer base up - and i was just amazed how this was done different and wanted to know WHY. Like i have mentioned: I am certainly fine with the price rise and will come back for support but to make it clear - I wanted to know how you actually targeted the outter market. So how do you actually do this? Is it just word of mouth and the nearby locals only? If this has enough background theory then I would also include this in my Phd.. cheers
  4. I am very sure that all most places sell it for $4.50 tops. From Girrawheen to Ballajura, to Hillarys, to Morley, then all the way down to Northbridge and Bentley. From small shops to large shops. Utopia I believe they sell it for more IF you dine in. Also other bbts tend to cost MORE because of the fancy stuff such as shaved ice, thicker, real fruits etc All gooooooodd
  5. on the side note: we are also all here to help each other mate
  6. Who said I was having a go at his shop mate, read properly. What I'm trying to do is to help him ATTRACT more customers. Yeah mate, I bet I've been drinking more bbt then you and for your concern, it currently is the most expensive in Australia. I'm actually giving him advice. I CLEARLY said that if he wants to up the price then its fine by me BUT i DID mention that is it enough to get more sales. DID i mention at all that the prices WEREN'T FAIR? NO!! Well, as a Business graduate, a Masters graduate, currently doing my Phd and working as a Business Analyst, im just giving my 2 cents - not going off at the price what so ever..lol
  7. and what if the other stores have better quality and more variety? How do people know that Munch and Sip has quality bbt if they know their are cheaper drinks elsewhere. You are definitely correct with the quality and people return for quality, but even if Munch and Sip has quality over the other stores, how are they going to attract NEW customers? Only one way to market is by word of mouth and support from friends and family. The question that would pop up in the consumers' minds are 'why SHOULD I pay (X amount) here when I can pay this much at another place which taste pretty much the same?'
  8. Its not the fact that I can't pay the dollar - I'm saying it wouldn't be much of a competition for the other bubble teas that are close by. Their are 2 in Girrawheen and they sell it for $4.00 for large including sago/jelly. With that price up, how is $5.00 going to attract others? Yes, I believe that smaller business can't buy wholesale items - but the one in Ballajura and Girrawheen isn't much bigger anyways. I definitely know that lowering the price will be more affective as I have analysed a few businesses that sells food. Eg: A kebab store lowered their prices purposely to make it more attractive to customers. Even though they were selling it at a cheaper rate, more sales were coming through = more money . It is much better then having it priced the same or more expensive then the other places. Again, this is just my advice. If the owner wants to rise the price then I have no problems with it - its just that I don't think it would be as affective as lowering it.
  9. mate, yeah we are all here to support each other but is that enough? Obviously you would need to target the outter market as well. And since the business is so new (2months), rising it very early can cause problems in targeting the market as they may go as well to get the same product. People that have been there already may come back if its an extra dollar up but for the people that haven't - it surely is a gamble.
  10. What I'm trying to get at is that the market is very competitive. There are at least 3 other bubble teas in the surround area that sell it for alot cheaper = $4.00 includes sago/jelly as to $5.00. Its all common sense - would you go to a place that sells an item that is $X or go to a nearby store, for the similar product, for a cheaper deal. Most business's fail within the first 2-3 years and that is because they have not gained enough reputation or market themselves properly. Majority of consumers are attracted to the PRICE at first, they will only return to the store if the QUALITY is good. This is just my opinion to make things more attractive which will hopefully increase sales. Just some pointers to Andrew and his sis with their new biz.
  11. Hey Andrew, As a Business Risk Analysis, I would recommend to keep the prices the same OR cheaper - this would definitely attract new potential customers rather then deflecting them. But hey, thats my 2 cents. Falling of the dollar? = So the price of the bubble tea is to rise or fall due to the dollar?
  12. I went there on Monday.. did the price jump up or something? Great bubble tea!! I ordered a bubble tea and its $5.00 now rather then $4.50 (what it was before). It is now the most expensive bubble tea in Australia. Just curious to know - why the rise?
  13. hahaha i wouldn't bother with those ebay ones dude, i bought 3 sets from different sellers and they were shit house. the wires in one set became lose, and the other set bulbs had a short life. the 3rd set didn't even work and i got it returned and it was just time consuming, and i only recovered 80% of what i paid for.. so i still made loss. i bought 2 sets of viet_boi and they were awesome - he also helped installation which was a bonus. rather spend a little bit more to get something that is definitely working guys.
