  10. Well were do i start? in 2003 i bought a run down black 1991 gto cheap from the auctions. After rebuilding the engine and gearbox including leather interior i decided to sell it. It was such a beautiful car to drive, very responsive from low down right up to its 7500 rpm cutout. Around corners it handled extremly well due to its aftermarket coilovers which it came with. So i thought to myself what do i buy know? What else ? a 1997 model GTO. This one is also black with the optional glass roof, leather, and electronic aero spiolers (were an option after 1994) and 18 inch deep dish bbs style rims. Mods were boost controller and exhaust. If i was you and had the extra cash go for the later model they came out in 1994. The advantanges are 6 speed getrag box which is stronger than the 5 spd also the transfer case is upgraded. Brakes were also upgraded larger diameter front and rear. The turbos were slightly larger, not sure exactly though. Performance wise there quite good. A mate of mine had a 2005 porshe 911 s4 (4wd) 3.6 ltr and raced it 4 times one night, from a stand still, beat it every time and reached speeds of 160kph. My mate now drives the new porche tt turbo model, paid over 300 grand and he always ask me for a rematch???? But i must agree with some of the other guys coments, they arent so easy to repair and modify these cars. The only problem i have experienced with parts is the wait, mostly 2 weeeks from japan. when i went to do some more work on it, i decided it was too expensive and was hearing from alot of bad storys. So my advise would be if you like this kind of car buy it. If you leave it alone (apart from a boost controller and exhaust)it will be a very reliable car and you will have alot of fun and attract plenty of attention on the streets. If its performance your looking for, buy a GTR, or if you cant make up your mind and you can afford it, what the hek! BUY BOTH!! I did.
  11. i have a standard 1994 r32 gtr running stock turbos. What advantage do these turbos have over my stock ones?

  14. count me in! Happy Days!! Nick.
  15. The r33 was not registered for 2 years and the police were looking into who actualy owns it. If you were to ask me for my opinion they are all in on it. I mean look at the facts: 1 there was a "insane motor sport" business card with oily fingerprints found in my car by the police. 2 at the premises of "insane motor sport" my 5 grand tyres and rims were attached to an unregisterd r33 with no radiator in it, and minus a steering wheel so it wasnt going anywhere in a hurry. 3 if the r33 was not registered for 2 years (acording to the police) how did it get there and when? Now remember my car had gone missing for only 7 days so what are the chances the white r33 has been there all the time???? So all the police have to do is ask how and when did the car get there. Remember they cant drive it unless they have a vic roads permit so they must have towed it either way they would have to show some paper work unless they paid cash to the toe and even then they would have to remembered there name being less than 7 days ago. But If it was there for more than 7 days then they are all guilty. Case closed. But instead 1 person puts his hand up and claims it to be his car and they arrest him for possesion of stollen goods, and it wasnt even in his name??? allowing the rest of them to continue doing what they do best. No wonder they call Australia the lucky country! I live in preston so it wasnt far but dont worry im sure these guys travel. And yes the beers havnt stopped flowing.... Happy days Nick
  16. Thanks so much for all your replys and best wishes, you all have hearts of gold. My GTR had its steering wheel removed and replaced with a steering wheel with a S logo on it. Im guessing its a skyline wheel as it fitted straight on, and funny enough the white r33 with my wheels in the INSANE MOTOR SPORT workshop didnt have a steering wheel at all. They smashed the ignition barrel then unscrewed the ignition module behind the key barrel but funnily the plastics were not damaged so i think they must have unsrewed the the steering collum plastics and then re-asembled them operating the ignition by turning the module with a screw driver hanging out from under the dash. The alarm was working so they must have worked out how to disarm it without a remote. The alarm was a AUTO MATE made by DIRECTED ELECTRONICS same company as VIPER also same price, $1000 installed! THe wipers were removed and also the black plastic just underneath but left in place, minus the rear bonnet rubber and screws and clips holding it down. When i went to a Wrecker to buy some wipers i told this young kid about my story and he told me when these cars get re-birthed they remove these parts to get to the number on the firewall with a grinder and replace it with other numbers. Made sence to me. Also my rego plates were tossed and replaced with some suspended rego plates and my australian compliace tags were removed. My mechanic told me the rims my car was found with were from a s14. The body had very minor dints but moslty intact. So i was conviced the theives had a wrecked white GTR with plans to re-birth it with my baby. But wait there more. On monday i got a call from a guy called Alex who had just imported a white GTR r32 and was selling it. He asked me if the guy who the police charged for my wheels was called sam? i said no but the guy who owns Insane Motor Sport located at 16 Bancell St Campbellfield is named sam. When i asked him why he asked he explained to me someone called sam rang him about his car, gave him his address but never showed up. He thought at the time he was just wasting his time. Shortly afterwards one morning he noticed his GTR not in his garage but pushed across the road broken into and 3 of the 4 screws holding the stering wheel plastics together on the drivers side carpet. He thinks the theives were spooked somehow and left the car in the street. As no one else rang him about his car he thinks this caller is the only person who could have known about his car. I advised him to call the broadmeadows police who are handling my case and report it So im guessing that someone somewhere has got a white wrecked r32 GTR with plates and want to re-birth it. Take care everyone. Happy Days Nick
  17. My car was stolen on the 25 feb 06, no insurance and most of all my dream car. But my luck has changed. Last week a mate spotted a white gtr with a carbon fibre rear spioler in reservior parked outside someone's house, he rang me and i rushed down. As i was racing down two guys came out of the house where the car was parked and proceded to open the car doors. My mate was with 3 more mates so they must have spooked them and they fled. When i got there i thought i had won a lotery. Their she was waiting for me minus 5 grand rims and some bits and pieces but my 4 grand stereo system was intact. Anyway I drove the car to preston police station were they started to remove the car contents. We found 15 cds some clothes cigarettes and some other bits and peices and then under the drivers seat we found a business card. The business card was from Insane motor sport in cambelfeild, full of oily fingerprints. My mates and I decided to pay a visit to this workshop the very next day. And you would beleive it, my 5 grand rims and yoko tyres were sitting on his workshop attached to a white r33 gtst. Well next the cops were called in and they arrested the owner of the car who also had prior convinctions and now the cops are waiting for fingerprints to come in and arrest some more theives. The owner of the workshop is called sam and claims not to know anything of my stolen car. My car is now back on the road and angrier than ever!! Thanks to everyone for your support and best wishes and good luck to you all. Happy Days! Nick
