Fuel temp impacts how much fuel gets delivered to the engine via the FPCU. When the sensor fails the ECU assumes fuel temp is always at 80 degrees, and delivers maximum flow. No ill effects, except perhaps a slight reduction in fuel economy.

Water Temp Go Up To 98 When Drive In Heavy Traffic?
schtein replied to Nosure's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Id be looking at your viscous clutch fan. If its slipping you will get the symptoms you describe, especially in heavy traffic when its most needed. Do you have the shrouds fitted? -

Gday all, Selling my daily driver of a couple of years. It has been in our family for about 8 years now, i purchased it from my dad when we upgraded our family car. It has been regularly serviced in the time we have owned it, the engine runs smoothly and has a bit of go, especially with the manual transmission. Oil changed religiously every 5k. Good fuel economy (about 10L/100km). It handles quite well for a FWD sedan also. Rego til 03/09. Selling because i am moving interstate with my girlfriend next year, and she cant drive a manual, therefore I cannot justify keeping it. Here are the specs: - 1994 TS Magna - 3.0L V6 Manual - 221XXX km - Air Conditioning - Central Locking - Rare factory blue tweed interior - Pioneer MP3 CD player with remote - Mongoose Alarm/Immobiliser - New Brake Pads all round - New Battery Pics: Condition notes: - There is a small scrape on the passenger side of the car - Gearbox is a little notchy on cold start up but fine when gets to operating temp (could do with a fluid change) - One of the muffler tips has broken off Overall, this car is extremely reliable and is in fantastic condition for its age - will not disappoint! $2,900 OBO. Inspections welcome. Cheers, -Martin 0416429747

Probaly your o2 sensor that needs replacing. Check with datascan/consult for fluctuations in o2 readings. When o2's stop working properly the ecu reverts to a safety map and dumps more fuel. '

Racing Seats - Fixed Back Or Adjustable?
schtein replied to schtein's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Thanks guys, think the fixed back will be the go- for the drivers side at least. Passenger will go reclinable as i dont want to completely restrict access to the rear seats. Cheers, Martin -
Gday guys, was hoping that you could share your views of the pros and cons of the above question. Obviously if a car is being used on the street as well as race an adjustable seat has functional advantages. But wouldnt this sacrifice some strength though? (i.e. in an accident) Interested to hear your thoughts.. -Martin

Gday guys, I dont have a skyline, but i was hoping that someone on here might be able to help me. The thermofan on my 300ZX TT seems to have a life of its own, sometimes it runs and sometimes it wont. Today it wasnt running but after i turned off the car and restarted the thermofan ran non-stop the whole time i was driving it and it continues to run on a cold engine when i turn the key. Im guessing that its the relays as they were installed. I was hoping that some kind person could check these over for me. There are two relays, one white and one black. White: 30 - Black 30 85 - Thermo temp sender 86 - Merges with Black 85 to Thermo switch 87a - Thermofan + (Thermofan - is grounded) Black: 30 - White 30 85 - Merges with White 86 to thermo switch 86 - Ground 87 - Battery + diagram: Does this seem right? Any help much appreciated. It is a Spal 16" thermofan. -Martin If its not this ill turn my attention to the switch

Bosch 040 Fuel Pump
schtein replied to schtein's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
SOLD - Pending Payment Thank you to those who PM'd me, if sale falls through i will let you know... CheerZ, -Martin -
Item:Bosch 040 Fuel Pump Condition:Brand New in Box Price:$200 including postage anywhere in Aus. (Retails for $300 plus) To Fit: Perfect upgrade for Skylines R32 GTS-T, R33 GTS25T and R34 GT-T this is a direct replacement for the stock fuel pump. Location: Hobart Contact: Martin - PM or Text/Call me on 0416429747 Comments: This pump is a perfect upgrade for skylines and will easily support power figures of upto 310rwkw (235 Litres per hour). It retails for over $300, This pump is a Bosch K-Jetronic pump which is capable of pumping efficiently at high fuel pressures and suits high boost , high flow applications. It has a built in strainer on the base of the pump and can usually be adapted to suit most in-tank applications. It is commonly called an Audi Motorsport pump by people in the trade. It has similar physical dimensions to the external Bosch motorsport pumps but is a little shorter. This unit is the In-Tank version of the Bosch 044 Motorsport Pump. I was going to fit the pump to my 300ZX for my 300kw power goal, but instead i have opted to retain my stock pump as i am keeping the stock injectors. The pump is basically taking up space so i am letting it go for this low price. Pics can be provided upon request.
