  1. Fantastic build Bobby, the workmanship and attention to detail is first class. I really hope all these little details add a significant difference to the end result. Both for you and for skyline owners in general. Eagerly awaiting running videos and results!
  2. Man you are so unlucky! Is it a lot noisier cruising than your average skyline? What attracted the attention? Best of luck getting around it all.
  3. Thanks for trying anyway guys.
  4. Sorry mate, last time I looked the pic didn't load. GL with sale.
  5. Maybe my car is just a figment of my imagination
  6. Lol woops Under Nissan Motor Co (blue plate) E-ECR33 ECR33-108842 GGKBRTFR33VDA-ALCC Is that it?
  7. Wow I've been beltng through this build in the last 2-3 days like a book you just can't put down. This story has it all, highs, lows, external gates Seriously man what an awesome car you've built, hats off to you. Hands down the most insane GTST I have ever seen, I love it. For god's sake just make sure that now you just concentrate on getting your money's worth out of it by having fun driving it!
  8. Sorry do these have gtr written on them or not? I'm interested in them if there's no writing.
  9. 6T91MPV97T1TCG001 Thanks
  10. It's a sad state of affairs, but as everyone has said, there are too many reasons for manufacturers to avoid putting cars that thrill first and ask questions later into production. World economies, oil, public perceptions and fashion trends all have swayed brands from building toys instead of modes of transport. Entertainment in cars is secondary to profit. I sincerely hope we don't end up as just another MG followers club, obsessed with relic's time has lost rather than a thriving breed of Nissans still in production.
  11. Well it looked pretty good to me? How can you tell if it's broken down? I would have thought with the type of conditions I operate my car in, it would have gone bad if it was ever going to. I drive plenty of short trips with a cold engine, where fuel can apparently wash past the rings and into the oil etc and break it down. I do no highway kms, all around town driving. Stop start.
  12. I daily drive my gtst to and from work all week, and then go out of my way to drive it for leisure on the weekends too. Its age makes it a bit more finicky and cantankerous than the Toyota Prius next to me at the lights, but I'm much happier in my car than I would be in that.
  13. Ok so dropped out the Edge 10w60 over the weekend. Here's my super scientific analysis: It was fine. It looked and smelled like any other oil I've changed before. I copied the technique I read in Performance Imports magazine by stirring up the oil to see if there was water separated from the oil that would show up as white stuff where you stir it, but I saw nothing. Note: this is a 270kw r33 gtst that is driven every day, South East QLD weather, lots of extra urban trips when cold < 5 mins driving. Pics:
  14. Man I want that car
  15. I'd take the 50kw midrange any day
  16. Hey Paul, if by oil analysis you mean take a test tube to someone for scientific analysis then probably not. I wouldn't know the first thing about that If you mean visuals of water contamination + photos, of course! Plus, I'm not sure how relevant my analysis would be to you, I only own a lowly gtst, not a full house 2.8 GTR!
  17. I should be dumping out my Castrol Edge 10w60 this weekend after over 5000kms / 6 months on e85 so I'll see how it looks. Daily driven too. Probably put the same oil back in again.
  18. What if the engine was not knock limited IE e85?
  19. Lol that's half the value of some r33's these days.
  20. Lol thank god for that when I go to start my car in these icy Gold Coast conditions in winter
  21. However I will say that it can easily be heard operating with metal intake and pod, even during partial throttle and lifting slowly off the throttle. I've noticed this with both my original stock rb25 and my current stock rb26 bov. I can hear it opening slightly at very light throttle loads audibly.
  22. Any downsides or risks to doing this?
  23. Why is it run through the TB stock anyway? Is it emissions or something? I had that mod done on my rb25 180 when I had a plazmaman plenum because I had to, but I thought it must be that way stock for a good reason...
  24. Easily the best. I wish I knew that front bar existed before I resprayed the stone chips out of my stock s2 front bar! Great car man.
