i plan to make a weekend out of it. Friday take the car out to Duggan & Parker in the morning, then once it's finished go out to symmons and have a run ready for sunday, stay in launy somewhere the night then go down to hobart on the saturday to visit my brother stay sat night there, and come up and race on the sunday.

I think i have the racing bug. always gotta do it.

Hey all, Im chasing a Bridgestone RE54 245/40/18 tire. any condition is fine. or a pair of 245/40/18 in any semi comp rubber, might even be able to use a 235/40/18 if anybody has a pair i can use/borrow. just trying to get a full set of Stickies for the next run down at symonds in a fortnight

Put my wheels back on and the front bar. needs to be repaired again though. Haven't done much to the car for a bit. changed some of the vacum hoses over to nice shiney blue silicon ones i got today as well.

Brendan Spurr of BGS Fabrication did the cage, it's a full weld in. i guess the weight did hold it back a bit. the car is completly stripped out but i guess it's suprising how much steel goes into the cage.

Yeah, it was a good dy, my times were 2 seconds slower than usual but they were consistant all day. Gave me a scare at the hairpin when the box seized again though. The new cage does wonders for the handling, especially through the first few corners.

Leo has it all pulled apart doing the wheel bearings on it. it's ok, i organised another one so i can still take your tires up.

Yeah, It would be interesting to know who is doing it. I used to have to always leave my car parked outside, now it get parked inside, immobilised and the garage alarmed. whats happening to all the stufff that is getting nicked?

hm, i have a MONZA wheel with plastic inserts, can they do it over the top?

You will find that it will rev faster and will be great for the street / track/ and drags, butyou loose torque because it's lighter and doesn't have the momentum to keep spinning which is what you want then drifting and rallying.

You will find that the Sp's have a bigger overall piston surface compared to the brembo's as they use smaller pistons. Great calliper and hug the rotor so you can still fit a 17inch wheel on usually. Stu, have you looked at running a BMW M5 rotor with them? seem to be the ideal size and cheaper in the 2 piece rotor sets than others. im actually just waiting on my Alcon 4 pot calipers to get here from the USA. came off a Nascar over there. Little bit more chunkier that the AP's but i can run a thicler pad.
