  1. 3076R is 57mm comp and 60mm exhaust.
  2. E85, Steve. On 30psi, dropping down the 28psi, certainly exceeded my expectations with the little 0.63 T3 rear
  3. Powertune S14 just made 370kW at the rears on 30psi with the 5557 journal bearing!!! Nuts!!
  4. Sam's car is up at 6boost getting mini-tubbed (very big mini tubs) 9", coil over, Strange shocks, the works. It still runs a HKS GT3037S kit, no doubt it would be a fair bit more responsive with 5557's, but if he was to switch it would be to a big single with TS manifold A 5557 is just a tad bigger than a HKS GT2835 or Garrett GT3071R but more responsive Depends on your application Joel, street/drag/circuit? Personally I would use a 6765 on a '30, it's the same size as a T04Z but rated to 900hp. If you want something a bit smaller a 6262 or 6265 will do the job (700hp)
  5. Gotta remember Steve, that these (so far) look as though they will be outperforming a 3037S, not too many people run those in twin format on a GT-R though! Will have a better idea by the end of the week
  6. Actually it's something that we were talking about yesterday Scott, we'd probably take car of the tuning side for free, got one in stock today too! I think it the little turbo may shock us, if it doesn't make it, it will come close if you have the supporting mods. Lithium, couldn't agree with you more....
  7. Hey guys, Need one of these, only need the crown wheel and pinion but will purchase a diff if I have to (doesn't matter if the centre is hammered single legger etc), crown and pinion must be in good condition! Here's a list of what they come out in... 4.111 - R34 RB25DET Auto, R33 RB25DET Manual, C35 Laurel RB25DET Auto, C35 Laurel RB20DE Auto, C34 Laurel RB25DET Auto, C34 Laurel RB20DE Auto, S13 SR20DE (ABS), 4.083 - R34 RB25DE Auto, R33 RB20E, R32 RB20E (ABS), C33 Laurel RB20DE Auto, A31 Cerfiro RB20DE Auto, S15 SR20DE, S14 SR20DET Manual, S14 SR20DE Manual, S13 SR20DET Manual, S13 SR20DE (ABS), S13 SR20DE Hit me up! Thanks! PJ 0430 767 845
  8. Cheers, Scott. I'm running twin gates. At this stage you can't get a 6262 in twin scroll, only the 6265, we would expect there to be a at least 300rpm difference in spool. As long as you're sticking with 98RON, then a 5557 would be the more fun (and logical) choice.
  9. It's a 0.84 The S14 has a 0.63, I reckon one of these turbo's would be mental on an RB25, we may have to offer an initiative package to someone wanting to put one on a '25...
  10. Just a tidy up, Steve. Thanks It is lots of fun
  11. SR20DET, still a 2L, forged bottom end, 220/224 cams, E85, ID2000's, 3 x 044's, Precision 6265 turbo, 6Boost twin scroll manifold, Tial wastegates built by Advance Motor Mechanics in Strathfield.
  12. Car feels insane! 20psi @ 4500rpm, it's a bit doughier than what I had, but I have ordered the 0.70 housing for a closer comparison. Also I'm running my Greddy boost controller again instead of the Haltech. In other feedback, we put a 5557S on my bosses S14, it runs a factory SR20 with BC 264 drop in cams, nothing else inside the engine. On E85 it made 297kW at the wheels @ 20psi 4100rpm before the Walbro was out of gas. We're putting a second pump in it today, a set of 1600's and going to try 30psi. Be interesting to see when/if the 0.63 housing becomes a restriction (or what the stock bottom end will handle)
  13. At this stage we will not be offering larger ones, 2 x -6 feed lines is enough for plenty of power. There are two serparate outlets for the pumps, Johnny.
  14. Are you serious dude?? I'll def take you for a lap at Supernats next month, if not Powercruise
  15. Alright it's not a GT-R but for a laugh... SR20DET Forged bottom end, cams etc. Still a 2 litre, ID2000's 3 x 044's Precision billet 6265 turbo It has 20psi @ 4500rpm 486kW at the rear wheels @ 39psi on E85 Ran 9.6 @ 144.6 on radials with 453kW so keen to hit the track again No nitrous
  16. Which certainly wouldn't apply to the majority of GT-R's with decent power Tweaky, still about 6-8 weeks away for the R33 GTS-T setup. Will let you guys know when it's ready
  17. Duncan, is that the same car you won the Supersprint championship with? The factory Nissan baffle design is killer, not just in GT-R's! It is as good if not superior to an EVO. One our customers runs 1:04's around Wakefield with no surge tank and a single Walbro. Godzilla was designed to be a giant killer in all aspects!
  18. Johnny, compare it to a turbo for example, they give you its max hp rating, with the right supporting mods it's capable of that power. Walbro's in single form for turbocharged or supercharged applications are rated to 500hp each, and I've seen them make that sort of power all day everyday. Yogibear, as stated, it isn't going to be for everyone, and I'm up to scratch on how much parts and labour costs and how long a job like what you're doing takes, that's what I do for a living, dude. If you can do the work yourself, everything will always work out cheaper for you. But if you want to take the guess work out, have something that bolts straight in, that nobody can see while being able to support your application and power level, then bingo. Want to do an all out circuit, track or drift car? Then no. I know hundreds of guys with tough street cars (obviously more than just GT-R's) who go to the drags a couple of times a year, some just do events like Powercruise and Supernats and the rest of the times are happy to cruise the streets on the weekends, so something like this would suit them perfectly. I have had one modified car surge on me, it was low on fuel. I was trying to take a sharp corner in a WRX like Ken Block, man was I trying though!
  19. Like I said (yes guys I work for Powertune) it isn't aimed at the circuit car, it isn't aimed at purpose built drag car and it would be common sense not to use one in a dedicated drift car. Mainly for street cars that occasionally go to the drags, even occasionally to the track. Lots of people don't want the fuel smell in the car (personally I love the sweet smell of E85 in my cabin) but when the 5-0 pop the boot and see a surge tank, fittings, lines, pumps and smell fuel, he'll be asking to see your engineers certificate. If you're not having surging issues without a surge tank (I see many, many, many GT-R's come into work without them) then this won't make a difference. I can tell you from lots of experience in this game and from working in a workshop everyday, that this would suit the majority of customers real street cars. Guys who have nicely modded making good power, who on the rare occasion take it to the drags, and now with the intro of E85 on a more mainstream scale this will do the job nicely. Also (And please, I really do mean this in a lighthearted way !, I had the same argument about price with my mechanic about 2 weeks ago (Just stepped up my own fuel system again), if you think you can walk out of a mechanical workshop to do a pair of 044 pumps, surge tank, mounts, braided lines, quality fittings, relays plus labour and wiring for $1300, tell me where the shop is. I thought exactly the same way you did until we got the calculator out. Maybe for the DIY guy who can do everything like a pro, but if a workshop is charging you $1300 then they are cutting corners or doing you a SERIOUS favour. Flow wise you should maybe look into how fast guys have gone with twin in-tank Walbro's in the states. We already have have such a setup on an EVO that Insight made, it's been on for nearly a year now and the thing makes power and runs hard all day. Hope this helps a few of you see things from a different perspective. Peace! PJ
  20. I asked if the convo was being recorded and he said no because the pulled over multiple cars at once.
  21. Sorry dude, didn't take it/mean it that way at all haha What I meant was, although I booted it prior to the 100 zone, I wasn't doing 50 in the first place so at no time did I technically exceed the limit
  22. Zebra, at no point did I admit to speeding, I admitted to booting it up to the speed limit. He said there was almost enough evidence to get us for racing...
  23. Thanks Chris, I'll def give you a buzz! Yes UW8NCY, it would be physically impossible to determine the difference between say 14km/h and 21km/h, obviously the difference between the two speeding categories in the space of a couple of seconds. So you're sure on them being unable to book me over 20 in NSW? PM me if you like I will lose my licence if I cop this, but regardless I'd still be fighting this BS!
  24. So I was travelling in a 50 km/h which becomes a 100km/h zone and booted it up to speed just prior to hitting the 100km/h zone, however was doing under 50 in the 50 if it makes sense. There were two lanes in my direction (I was in the slow lane), two opposing lanes, and a petrol station on that opposite side. A highway patrol car was in the servo (probably buying donuts) and saw myself and another car accelerate up to speed, obviously he heard us because we weren't driving stock cars. He ran to his car (keep in mind he is 4 big lanes across plus 2 bowsers deep on the opposite side) and pulled us over. Didn't say much, defected the other car I was with and handed me a 20km/h over ticket. I asked if he had us on radar, he said no, he estimated our speed. I maintained the truth in that I wasn't speeding, but that obviously upset him and he said he'd see me in court, ran to the car and got the defect book out. So he didn't have us on radar, no camera footage and he didn't record the conversation. Anyone else been in a situation like this?
  25. Drove it for the first time tonight, it still has the Z tune in it, I cut about 20% out of the fuel but it seems it wasn't enough. Damn those 2000's are hu7e! I'm not cracking gate (17psi) till just under 5000rpm, so I will probably go down an exhaust housing size to get the turbo speed up earlier. Gotta say though, I've never heard a turbo like it. Very quiet operation but has a real distinctive light whine and it only flutter when you really try to. Will have some results for a 5557 hopefully next week for you Scott and mine in a few days.
