  1. While I agree with part of what you are saying, the Moroso calculator is on the money. Gee the V8 boys would cringe if you dare said something about their bible haha. WHEN I nail a 1.5 60ft my car WILL run 10 flat but unfortunately no cage = one run wonders at the track and no chance to improve. I wasn't taking what you wrote personally by the way, I was just using myself as an example PJ
  2. That used be me with side of the road avgas refills back in the day!
  3. I have a couple of friends running the PPG helical dog's in their GT-R's, both of which make just over 800hp and they have not smashed them. They have not done mega km's but when they come out they get absolutely punished. Launched every time, 3rd gear burnouts. Looking at my OS Giken and PPG gear sets side by side and going off the tooth profile, if TWO-06L didn't smash his OS Box, and you haven't smashed your standard one, then there is NO WAY that you'll smash a PPG Helical cut unless it falls off the delivery truck!
  4. Going off my current specs the Richmond calcultor is on the money ET wise. It says I should be running 10.0 with 503rwhp. I have run 10.4 with a an average 60ft of 1.7 (radials) so a 1.5 should net me that flat 10. My trap speed was more at 136.52 over the 133 that it said. However, when I was on a 98RON tune rather than E85 pump fuel making 391hp my car trapped 131mph and 134mph (11.0 and 11.2) There were other factor such as a 1.87 60ft on both passes, smaller 225 tyres. The Moroso says 10.7 @ 121mph. Torque is something so often overlooked when it comes to dynos, an example is the above 391hp pump tune compared to 520hp I had with a less active motor with a big turbo and lots of boost. 391hp = 134mph GT3037S, big cams, ported head 19psi BP 98 520hp = 137mph T88, small cams and not much else 29psi Race tune Same dyno, different engines only different was tyres and of course lots more torque in the engine making less peak hp and way more mid range.
  5. Maybe someone should have a chat to old mate at Rozelle next time they go and ask. It's just so convenient at the pump, having to fill it up everytime with a jiggler would piss me off. I know I sound spoilt to all those interstaters Doesn't stop your car sounding like an F1 car at 8 grand Dave, that's for sure!
  6. Yes Mick's S15 is a power house and we'll be taking it out for a drive on Friday. Did you get that box in Dave? It's going to be an E85 fest!
  7. Fresh Royal Purple Racing 41 in mine every 1500-2000km's religiously!!
  8. If there's one gear you should try clutchless shifting with, it's 4th. 3rd to 4th is the easiest and fastest anyway. It will go in like butter mate, don't be shy. See you @ the Jambo
  9. Nice! Sounds good to me ; ) Praise Rozelle United for keeping the dream alive!
  10. Haha finally fixing it tomorrow then it's time for a full cage. Damn I'm kicking myself hearing about all these mad cruises that I'm missing out on! Hungry for power yet Dave or what? If mine is all over the shop, I couldn't imagine how yours would be with the 6 bangers torque!
  11. 1. Approximately 400kW @ wheels I believe. 2. Including labour probably about the same money as a used stock R34 GT-R
  12. Gotta start low I guess! Anyone else?
  13. As the title suggest I have one of these which would be great for someone looking to install an aftermarket gearset into. Rather than pull apart a working gearbox, sell yours, get good money for it and you'll more than likely be a grand in front! Or if you already have spares lying around, give it an overhaul. Does not include shifter, would prefer Sydney pick up! PJ PM or call 0430 767 845 [email protected]
  14. I can vouch for Alex, he is the owner of Birrong Automotive and I have many good business dealings with him during my time at HPI and Zoom. You may have seen his handiwork on FAT R! These seats are the real deal! I've seen them with my own eyes PJ
  15. Umm not quite yet!
  16. Ok last call for funds, I will be picking up and sending these on Monday morning, so if you you haven't transferred the $$ today you'll miss out! Thank you! PJ
  17. It was a while ago but my PB in my S13 is 10.65 @ 137mph, 1.96 60ft. SR20DET, T88-34D 29psi with pump fuel and toluene mix. Nissan Silvia on MT ET Street 255/50/16 Radials. Looking to break it again within the next couple of weeks! PJ
  18. Ok guys since money transactions take a up to a couple of days could you please finalise payment either today or tomorrow. PM me for my account details. I plan to pick these up on either Saturday or Monday morning providing everyone has paid up! So far I have an order for 24 confirmed, and another unconfirmed order for 6! Worse case scenario I'll buy the 6 so the price does not get effected, they never go to waste that's for sure. Thank you! PJ
  19. Yes they're the ones. I have the same, they're worth a mint. Hi Octane sell them for $330 odd + GST each! The plugs are definitely different, you will need plug kits but you'll be able to sell the Sards for good money. PJ
  20. Hi Rob, it depends on what you already are using for 1000's. The Sard plugs are different, I had them in mine prior to fitting the Indy Blues. Bosch Plug kits are available for $14 each.
  21. It ends on the 4th of July so next week
  22. A week and half to go guys! Anyone still in need?
