Hmm, a surge tank is more commonly found in the boot, so unlikely. As for the hole, im not sure, I would probably just bend up a scrap piece of aluminium, paint it black and bolt her on from under the hole (might look a bit less dodgy), and all of a sudden you will find yourself with an uncle named bob'.

The problem is with the few, not the many - I knew a guy (I went to primary school with him, dont have anything to do with him now) who was in an accident when he was about 18 as a result of being an idiot (or hooning, call it what you like), did some damage and went through a bit of pain and got a massive payout... a few years later after wasting most of the cash on cars, he did it again, with the massive payout in tow. The guy is going to kill himself, I just hope he doesnt take out anyone with him. It's guy's like this idiot that are causing all the trouble for us (plus its a handy distraction from loosing the war in iraq) Till thats fixed, or something else is more news worthy', we will be the opressed minority.

The only way to decide would be to drive both cars, reliability is always going to be an issue with a seccond hand car though - should be a personal decision, go with your gut I would take the wrx if it were me

Why are some guys hung up on power figures? when I ran my 32 on the dyno (with minimal mods - I was just experementing with tuning the stock ecu myself) After I played around a bit I got a mighty 100kw at the wheels! I dont care, it was the fastest 100kw car I have ever driven, I could keep up with a friend in a 33gtr, and now i have even learned how to drive properly(still practicing). Pity I had to sell the car... Sorry - Im bored, my last day at work and cant be bothered doing anything constructive, I should probably head off to the wasteland. Anyhow, get a tune, can make all the difference good luck.

Call me crazy, but does'nt the afm also measure the air temp? and so putting it in post turbo could affect tuning - I dont know, just a thought.
