  1. oh it's not hard for a "real theif", i do, however, agree with detering "would-be" thieves. but i'd probably just go with what your insurance want.... and watch were you park it etc...
  2. in all seriousness, if a thief really wants your car he is gonna get it. all one can really do is insure it....
  3. she's nice, well worth the wait?
  4. wouldn't mind a plastic model, the ones that have to be biult, i'll have a look at Biante's site, thanks
  5. where could one get ones hands on an r33 model, if one wanted too?
  6. i got a front lip spoiler, new tyres 265s on the rear on 18 inch rims, 235's on the front (well, i was impressed, even cheap ones are expensive), got stiffed with the juice though, barely made it out of dandenong b4 i had to top up.... oh and i stumbled upon a stacker in the boot, sometime after i got it home....
  7. is the car in sydney cbd, the guy work for a real estate agent?
  8. nah, nrma are expensive, and will probably want you to take the car to them for a comprehensive check or whatever they call it up there. just tell the guy you want it inspected, book a time and he'll take the car to them, you go and pick up the report, or they'll send it out to you in some way, shape or form. It's abit of a pain but i found that most people, if they want to sell the car and the car is good, dont really mind.
  9. lol, i'm not competition, i already got mine...
  10. lol, does sound abit like it..... seriously though, is it in melb? where abouts? i'd been lookin for a black s2 for awhile, and i know there aint that many nice black ones on the market in melb....
  11. same, the thing is if i had been drinkin i would've just kept walkin straight inside the house.....
  12. i got breatho'd in my drive way once....
  13. i aint a huge fan of law enforcement, however, i dont think its the individual police officers fault, in most cases they just cant be bothered dealing with sh#t from the public, which i can totaly understand. they are just doing their job in most cases. On the other hand there job is a joke, but this is all due to politics. Cars get stolen, houses get burgaled, people get stabbed etc... because there is no revenue generated by these crimes, therfore, the amount of man power(police patrols around neighbourhoods etc) is reduced. instead we have more police on major roads, highways and "hoon" infested areas pulling people over for things that really arent hurting anyone like pod filters and fmic's, hardly gonna cause an accident or kill anyone... so really, as cliche as it is, society is to blame, in that we all voted in the people who make these laws and we accept them..... the police, just do what they're told to do, if they were told to go out and do "real" police work i'm sure they would.
  14. they're right dude, i'd be lookin somewhere else.... car yard will fix it on the cheap just so it's out of their hair and at the end of the day all they're interseted in is their profit margin....
  15. 17's aint that expensive these days....
  16. i've just gone through this exact issue, i just bought a 97 r33, the reality is, even domestic cars have issues like clocks being wound back etc. sure you can get service books, but there only a rough guide and they aint hard to make up. All you can really do is get em mechanically checked but thats the same with domestic cars. Apparently compliance now is alot more stringent so i guess imports aren't as dodgey these days... however, you are still buying a car thats around 10 years old, so your gonna have a few issues.
  17. would've though a few bullet holes would be enough to bring a passenger plane down..... f-18s are pretty weak though, as far as fighters go....
  18. australian federal police= feds, protectives services are like security..... although, anybody can snitch to epa, doesn't have to be an official type person of any sort...
  19. i'd be careful, the car yard is gonna fix it as cheap as they possibly can... depending on what else is wrong, i'd probably be lookin else where, but, at the end of the day it's your money...
  20. i actually went out to pick up the report, that way the guy that did it can discuss it with you and point things out... good luck...
  21. what car yard? power rd? the guys at cheltnam did 2 tests for me, they check everything, even picked up some body repairs that i couldnt see.... plus they'll pick things you might not notice in a test drive
  22. i just went through this, it's a pain in the but. i used racv, the only thing is they wouldnt come out to see it, cos its an import or something, anyways they'll only do a comprehensive check, set me back $215. it can get expensive if they dont pass, the first one i got checked out didnt. if its a black series 2 in the malvern area pm me lol
  23. i've got it, its true a wanker is a wanker, it doesnt matter what they drive, they are just attention seekers, who drive the"in" car at the time, to be more popular with whoever it is they think cares. I guess for a hell of a long time commodores have been "the in car" now ford have put together a nice package and they've been gettin alot of hype from everywhere, it seem they are fast becoming the next "in" car and thus are attracting the same attention seekers..... don't get me wrong, not all of either drivers are attention seekers, it's just the attention seekers who attract this type of attention....
  24. cheers, i've got it set on auto with the minimum set at 40 secs
  25. hey dont get me wrong, i'm not knocking the car, like i said i'm a ford man at heart, i know of the potential and if they had what i want at the price i was looking at, i'd have considered one, but the guys who drive them really do seem to be tossers.....
