We use carbon fibre only.. NO fibreglass, all bonnets are vaccum infused using in house techniques. i would need to know what model car this is for? OEM bonnets start @ $1980 Inc GST

made with carbon/kevlar... various laminate structures... you can hardly compare F1 composites which are all pre-preg auto clave parts, to a dodgy hand laid fibreglass bonnet with a layer of carbon... F1 uses carbon fibre for a purpose.. and it's not cause they think its pretty...

I've also been looking around too Ian, decisions decisions.... a mate put some of those garret 2860R's on his 32 GTR and he's very happy, they are very responsive.. I wanted something a little bigger for my GTR but with stock internals i cant. I'm thinking about getting the Garrets too. at less than $2500 a pair brand new you can't go past em..

those guys are next door to us Col.. some awesome shiney stuff comes out of there....

32 GTR's will range from around $14,000 - $30,000+ you need to be more specific about what it is your actually after... a clapped out 89 model or a mint condition 94 model V-spec2

i passed that skyline this morning, its got some pink personal plates on it now... only saw it for a second or so..

we looked into it and with the costs involved its not viable at the moment.. maybe if carbon becomes cheaper... who knows

Carbon Fibre bonnets DO NOT MEET ADR.. and are illegal for normal road use.. ADR approval can be attained but they will need to test your bonnet to make sure it meets all ADR specifications. testing facilities are few and far between though so good luck finding one that will help.. on another note why not copy your local transport header onto MS word and print your own ADR approval out, i've seen it work before... (i take no responsibilities and do not condone illegal behaviour) bye for now

well if the c/f is painted with 2pak paint, all you would do is cut and polish it the same way you would the rest of your car...

we do not use pre-preg all carbon we use is DRY... just to verify um if you can see through it then its only 1 layer of carbon with fibreglass used as the rest of the laminate.. So i've been away for a week enjoying my birthday up at coolum... went skydiving etc etc AWESOME.. Now its time to get back to business, i see someone rang jason and sorted the 32 GTR OEM wing out..I spoke with him earlier tonight and he confirmed the $3500 moulding costs.. so i guess the more people getting one of these the cheaper it will be.. once the mould is paid for in full work will start immediately on the mould and then the first part..

the rear vents that you see will be for removing the hot air from under the bonnet, generally they are reversed vents and work very well at dropping temps especially on turbo side.. just so you can see what a bootlid looks like....
