  1. using capacitors and working out by trial and error will give you the size needed for this. so then you have the nice little timed part. the other thing that has to be done is working out how to have a circuit that sends a power pulse when the key is on and when the key is off. i dont know enuff about circuit shit to really say how to do this. in sep ill sit down with me mate and work all this out. shouldnt be tooo complicated. with those problems you faced. use the power supply on the back of the key. the wire that is always power. either that or use the one that runs to the stereo. and for sending power when the key is off. using a simple cross over relay. much more thinking to be done once i have someone to chat with that knows more about that stuff.

  3. i just got one second hand so once i get her in ill keep an eye on my knocking sensor. they seem pretty easy to change. simple nobs n shit. so it wouldnt be that hard to do on the fly.
  4. i would have got one myself but eventually i want to put a motec and full 15 inch computer screen in my car. so for that reason i have not. but i would love to hear what you think of it. they are very sweet thou
  5. Liquid, that camp modual doesnt include a screen, which makes it very easy to have like you said. DVD/Telemetry/GPS in one screen. have your dreams come true ?
  6. the item worth looking at the hks camp. this seems to be nearly an exact copy of the computer your looking for. http://www.hksusa.com/categories/?id=1082 thats the link for the item. from what ive also read from taka kaira it also can use a g sensor (that will be a hit with the girls)
  7. Ive heard that rear sway bars on r33 gtr to gts-t can be done. all im wondering is if its possible to change the frounts also? if anyone could help me on this one it would be most appreciated. thanks Matthew Bailey
  8. as i just posted in another thread about this same thing. i think the best way would to have the mirrors set to open and close on ignition on and off. ill give this some more thought on how to work it when i have time. if i succeed then ill post the details. hows your stuff going ?
  9. i gave some thought to this, then after talking to a mate of mine we came to the opinion that it would be best have the mirrors set so that when the ignition is turned on they open, and when turned off they shut. we will try work out how to set this up so that it has a timed signal to reduce the chance of damage to the mirrors. as im not sure if the motors turn themselfs off after hitting full open or full shut. so if anyone knows about that one feel free to tell. if we manage to work out how to do this one we are willing to either make them for ppl to buy or simply give instructions on how we did it. probally instructions as we are lazy
  10. i dont know about skylines. but on the 4age20 frount cuts i got. there wasnt a second computer for the auto. it was simply the main computer controlled the auto. the reason for this is to help smooth out the changes. auto and manual frount have different model computers.
  11. does your deck have a rca imput ? if so you could place a computer into you car?
  12. on my trust kit i just bought. you have four lines. two from the adapter to the remote oil filter, two from the remote oil filter to the oil cooler. this is because the remote oil filter housing has thermostats inside. if your doesnt have thermostats inside. (not sure how to check) then earls make a oil thermostat. pm if you want the part number.
  13. ive read reports one those shifters. apparently they work ok. but not at good as thought. very complicated item. price is lots. takakaira have them listed.
  14. how much more effective are the projector type head lights than the series 2? anyone done ever noticed?
  15. ive got a standard manual. and i honestly dont know if ive got those plugs in the second pic. i dont remember them being there. but i would be wrong. i just thought i would have noticed a heap of empty plug sockets. sorry i cant be of help.
  16. i pulled over once because i saw lovely girls standing next to a car with the bonnet up. only to find they were with there bf's. damm, i gave em a jump start and they were on there way (benefit of driving field service car, all the tools in the world)

    i have a copy of the pdf for a 200sx for europe. its like a 180, but different wiring diagrams i think (according to me mate with a 180) i had a quick look thought. the euro model has a diff oil pump and cooler core. all electric controlled. anyone ever seen anything like this on a nissan ?

  19. exactly 5 days after getting my licence. parents 75 series toyota lander cruiser tray back. 2 mates sitting next to me. me thinking im the next rally driver champion. gravel tracks in the hill down the road from byford. side ways action round corners. then on this one really good corner i did a wikid drift, side ways the whole way arround the corner, but kept going sidewards, completely sidewards, then i was going backwards. then the car was laying on its side. mates n i stuck sitting there with seat belts holding us in place. we eventually got out. thought shit eh. walk to servo. got tow truck. pulled back on wheels drove home. REALLY slowly. next time about 3-4 year later. driving north west highway at about 160 in corrolla. decided to pull into parking bay, didnt really slow down ennuff, another 180 before side swipping a yellow bin. oppsss the worst thing about that land cruiser accident, my folks made me fix and pay for all the damage myself. it was still a fun drive.

  22. i put a set of mb quart splits into my car. yeh i cut into the door for the tweeter but it turned out looking sweet as. ill take some photos if ppl want. not with car atm, so be a few weeks.
  23. kool. thanks heaps for your imput. helped quite a bit. ill go the way you have suggested. ill think a bit more about the whole new fuel line thing later.
  24. i wasnt so worried about the pressure. these lines would be made to with stand leaking after a crash. which would mean that in general operation they would be fine. the only thing i was thinking about was if the flow capacity of the line would equal that of the pump. another thing im looking arround for is a high flow fuel filter. i figure if im going to get the most out of the pump i should plum it to its full capisty. (not that i need that ammount of flow, but easy to do it once and do it properly)
