hi guys need to get my exhaust tested to see how loud it is. its a 3in system with a hotdog muffler hiflo cat 3inch split dump and a jazma oval rear muffler. doesnt sound that loud but is probably over 90db. where should i go to get it tested. vic roads have there approved testers, but none of them are near me. closest is lilydale or dandenong. anyone had theres tested around the s.e suberbs? im sure theres more testers than just the approved vic roads ones.

well its got, part of vehicle in need of attention: structural alterations. attention required: engine bay- to fit intercooler. Recomend certification by V.A.S.S engineer. it also says, to be cleared by jamie at burwood east vic roads

hey all got defected for my tyre place card. i think i have one but its in japanese. does it have to be in english? or are these cops just being pricks?

dimensions. 200 tall 235 wide and 125 deep. also depends how deep your speakers are too. battery is right under the speaker magnet.

just got a new one the other day. think stock one i had was only 330cca which is pretty poor. not sure of the dimensions i got one from battery world for $115 installed. its an ac delco battery with a 3 yr warrenty 440cca. didnt have to change the terminals either. still using the thin 'pencil post' terminals

do you mean dimensions or cca's?

i recon your right there. think vic roads is in on it too. because theres only a select few vic road approved engineers.

spoke to a few enginners. some will only rip the cooler out and patch the hole with a plate. some wont touch it because it comes with air bags and by cutting a hole the air bag may possible act different in a front on crash. and some will strengthen the hole and sign it off. thing about engineers cert is that its for the whole car. so anything that didnt get picked up by the cops will by the report. so my exhaust db, ecu, wheels, ride height all has to be fixed too. its gonna cost bout 80 bucks to strengthen the hole then its 350 for the cert. so thats not too bad. but thats if the rest of the car is ok. im pretty sure it was in an accident in japan cos the key doesnt fit the drivers door lock. so hopefully its repaired properly. if only i got one with the return pipe going back in the original spot. what did you pay for urs dezz?

hey all just got defected at knox. need an engineers certificate for my intercooler pipeing hole. got a hybrid kit so had to drill a hole through. who has been done for this? who did you go to? how much?

must be rola rack that do them. rhino replied to an email i sent them saying they do one but its not fully removable. still waitin on responce from rola but oh well too late. its actually an off the shelf kit made in germany. they must have a few skylines over there i guess. speciffically made for 33's

lol yeah i found it in the garage i was reading a thread about gayest mods and was gonna put a picture of the disco ball in. forgot to take that out before the shot. well done spoting that. the cost? oh you wouldnt beleive out of all the places that would have a second hand set for a 33 i happened to go to them. i paid $275 new they were gonna be $420 i think.

im running the am performance split dump from bos importing. also got a wide body cat from him (catco) had 137 with cat back. then 152 with dump and hi flo cat. only problem was it didnt quit fit properly. one of the flanges was off by a few degrees so my muffler is slightly twisted at the end. mine didnt look quit the same as the one pictured though. the flange for the waste gate was only half a pipe welded on, if you know what i mean. my mechanic had to bend some pipes that was for the air con i think, to get it in. so i only gained 15 kw from the dump and hi flo which is a bit dissapointing, but that was my car you may have different results.

yeah cubes thats something ive been meaning to check out. dont have a hand controller or boost gauge so i'll have to find out when i get it dynoed again, if i even bother trying to fix it now.

yeah thats how i see it. if it dies i'll just have to go hiflow. in a way im hoping it does. but as it turns out i might be selling my car. need a ute for work. roof racks on a skyline? i dont think so. so touch wood my turbo doesnt blow. only problem with selling is, have you seen how many skylies are for sale? theres like 9 pages of them on car sales. be nice to hold on to her and have a ute but cant afford that. only had her for eight months.

yeah thought about that. did a bit of research before i went to sabaddin but he checks out ok. heaps of people recomend him. hes on the actual wolf3d add in hot fours as a dealer and had his first car at 14 running on wolf. hes grown up with it and im sure has had enough experience to know what hes doin. but cant hurt to have someone else have a look. might get it dynoed again at sabaddin just to check ive still got the power i thought i had. does feel sluggish now but then again it doesnt take long for you to get used to the power when you increase it.

think my cars just a dud. ive got to run 2 more psi than everyone else to get the same power to start with. dont think they are running a pod either. stock air boxes.

yeah windows were up, air con off. chripped a little from 1st to second thats bout it though. tried changing at few different rpms didnt make a difference. was changing at 6500, 7000, 6250 still the same. dezz, mark and leigh had same power same mods. leigh has a slightly different engine thinks its been bored out to a 2.6 but still running same power. dezz got same as me 14.5 but he was getting through his gears.

oh ok. nah not doing that.
