might have something to do with the crossover thingy for the splits too. Might be wired backward on that.

i know its probably not this but if it was you would look a bit silly. its not something simple like the balance knob from left to right is it? cant see from the picture but some stock radios have that little knob around the volume knob that balances it, or sometimes is the bass control.

if you go to paulr33's profile and look at his web site he has the pin out for rb25det. just did it the other day coz my tacho died. from memory it was a blue wire with yellow strip but dont quote me yours might be different. Im sure you will find it if you do a search.

thanks guys. yeah thats what i thought, u idiot. Thats like saying by putting a cannon muffler on your stock exhaust is gonna give you more power. i doubt it. probably about as much as i got from the 15kw SAU stickers!

yeah id guess starter motor. only problem i had with that was i had to have mine rebuilt. couldnt find a second hand one. still only took a day for my mechanic to take it out, send it away to be rebuilt and put it back in. think it was $260 all up.

yeah had the same problem, idle air control motor or aac valve. just bought a second hand one $132 for the whole thing.

yeah i have a 3inch system not sure what style you would call my muffler its an aftermarket one got some brand on it cant remember what it is. think they call them oval mufflers same sort of shape as the stock one but with a big tip on the end.

hey guys got a question about mufflers. when you buy one do they have a flo rating like hi flo cats do? my mate recons i'll get better performance if i change my muffler to a cannon. i didnt agree. i thought mufflers were all about sound not performance. you piping gives you the performance and you muffler keeps it quiet? the cat restricts air flow but what about your mufflers? do you buy them for athestics and sound or are there actually gains to be made from different mufflers?

hey rianto pmed you the other day. i was in the first group buy for the rotors. just wondering if its possible to get rotors for a honda accord? nothing fancy just plain rotors. got quoted $400 just for the rears by repco. even if i cant, even a 10% discount or something? if your too busy to ask for me im happy to enquire just need a number to call. thanks jason.

cheers mark thanks for doin that mate. looks like my gears may be different then. your further in the rev range at both speeds so your getting to the end of each gear quicker explains why i cant get to 4th. if anyone else can check theres out that would be good.

just replaced my battery. $115 440cca battery world wantirna although there are a few battery worlds around. didnt have to change terminals either still got the tiny pencil post ones. like paul said once cars started put multimeter across battery (or jump start points in engine bay) should be at 14v. other test i got told to do was to charge battery, then leave it for 8hrs see if its holding charge. or if you cant be bother just check the voltage before you go to bed disconnect the negative terminal then check voltage in the morning. not sure if this will set your alarm off though didnt for mine.

hey baz yeah thats what my mechanic suggested. that maybe it had been converted from auto to manual. think the gear ratios are different.

or how bout how fast are you going if you red line 2nd gear? think im only doing 80.

hey guys after my dismal efforts at heathcote i decided to look in to my shit times. spoke to my mechanic who said i might have different gearing. by the 400m mark i was just hitting red line in 3rd. where as most were hitting red line in 4th. which explains my poor 95 mile an hour. he said to find out what other people are getting in their gears. ive got the following. 30km in 1st @ 3550rpm 80km in 2nd @ 5250rpm 80km in 3rd @ 3550rpm 100km in 4th @ 3450rpm. can someone find out what revs there at in these gears at these speeds? cheers

already bought them justin. not that keen on ultimates anyway. heard they got a lot of brake dust and dont last as long as advanced. might get some if im competeing in something but for general use im happy with advanced.

yeah your right guys i just looked it up on the bendix homepage. idiots at repco! DB1165 are for non turbo models. all repco computers must have the same info under r33 gtst because i went to two different ones and they both gave me these numbers, they double checked too. if the bendix catalogue is that easy to access you would think repco would have the right information.

yes it said on the instructions to replace pads when fitting but i already had the wheel and old rotor off before i read that bit. wiped the oil off when i put them on. sqeal has stopped now anyway. bit of a hunt to find bendix advanced pads for skylines no one stocked them. luckily found some though. just need time to fit them now. the guy at repco said that theres about four different sets of pads for skylines? said these might not be the right ones? the fronts are DB1165AD and the rears are DB1220AD. anyone using anything different? or does this guy just like to pretend he knows what hes on about? LOL. i'll help you if you want but im not doing it for you. smashed my thumb against the calipar when the bolt finally loosened dont wanna do that again if i can avoid it. but i'll watch you smash yours if you want some help changing them.

let me know how you guys go with them. can hear mine rubbing against the pads. not sure if they do that will beding in or not? still bit of oil on them too maybe thats a factor? havent put new pads on yet either running the pads i had with the old rotors. piece of paper in the box said to replace pads but havent as yet.

hi guys having some troubles with my car. nothing wrong with it since i bought it runs fine. Took it to get wolf 3d put in now back fires at about 5k. Not the ecu its been checked in another skyline. not the crank angle sensor thats been replaced. mechanic thinks its an electrical fault because as soon as it back fires the hand controller goes funny and has lots of weird characters and numbers. i need to check all the wiring from the ecu make sure nothings wrong with it. does any one have any wiring diagrams of the crank angle sensor or a list of what color wire on the ecu does what? i know you cant post up links to that skyline service manual thingy. does it have everything in it? i know you can buy an english version but i think its like 250 bucks! thinkin of buying it does anyone have it?
