I am very interested in this too as the same sorta thing is happening to my gtr (topic: Really really bad idle R33 GTR). Let me know how you get along...

Plugs are brand new, gapped at 0.8mm.

Stock AFMs, haven't cleaned them but it was running fine before the install.

I have a few issues here with my 33 gtr. First off it won't idle properly, it hunts between 500-2000rpm and is running really rich. Also when I take it for a drive it won't go above 3500rpm, just splutters and coughs a lot. This is after fitting 2 new turbos and some injectors. I already have splitfires in and some NGK copper plugs at 0.8mm, have also checked all piping and it seems fine. I have also tried to change the injector settings on the powerfc with 63.6% and -0.122 for each injector but it done't do anything good and the settings don't save. The list of relevant mods are: *2xgt2860r-5s *Sard 700cc injectors (0.65 impedance) *FMIC *PowerFC *Greddy profec B boost controller (running on low boost to run in turbos for a bit) *Splitfire coils *NGK copper plugs @ 0.8mm *3.5" Nismo exhaust *unknown brand twin pipe *Drift pods Also have a 550hp Walbro pump not installed but I doubt it will affect it when I chuck it in. Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated, I really miss driving my baby, stuck with a gtst...

Just trying to see how many people would be interested in attending a proposed Moonee Mod Meet (i.e. a meeting of modified cars) in the carpark of the Moonee Beach Tavern just north of Coffs Harbour. It will be held on a Sunday in early 2009, starting at lunch for the meet/show off then for a leasurely drive to Coffs and a bit out west then back to Moonee in the afternoon. We can organise sausage sizzles, prizes and possibly some pretty good sponsors if it all goes to plan. If you know the area you will know there is a huge amount of parks (avoiding the stupidly high speed humps is possible) so it shouldn't be an issue. Let me know if you are interested. -Dave

BRAINWAVE!!! I can just wrap the car in foam! Why didn't I think of that earlier?? Keep an eye out for a burgundy skyline with mums old sofa cushions strapped to it. Now thats a DIY job! Might spraypaint some skull and crossbones and maybe some fully sick flames in fully bright red on it.

Hahaha roflmao. Where the hell am I going to get plutonium from? Is there any way to generate 121 gigawatts to run the flux capacitor? Maybe I can create something to convert distilled Coffs wanker juice into electricity. Hmmmm... something to ponder. Or I could even put a sign on the car advertising a job. Ok, here's the problem. The metal and plastic panels on my car seem to be magnetic. Other cars seem to be attracted to them, leaving nasty ass paint swaps and scoring. Over the past 2 months I have had 3 of 4 corners done no matter where/how I park. This has led me to believe that my hairy crotch has generated static electricity on the drivers seat which has in turn created a magnetic field around the car. Was thinking that maybe if I slide out of the passenger seat then maybe it will reverse the polarity of the field. Any suggestions? I guess another way would be to move out of this crappy town (coffs harbour) to somewhere that people have respect for other cars.

I had the same sorta problem a while back when I first got my 33. Ran so much better at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle but ran like shite on full. Turned out my afm was shot. Maybe try swapping with someone to see if that fixes it. Is there a massive mid range flat spot that seems to clear about 6k? Thats what happened to me anyway... ran way too rich.
