Well if they are that easy it should be alright? but you dont need special tools or anything? Was just a bit worried about the airbag assembly.

Im looking at a s2 r33 which has an aftermaket steering wheel. Now i thought that in NSW a car that came from the factory with a airbag steering wheel needed to be fitted with them. So my question is how hard are they to source a stock steering wheel and more importantly to fit? Is it that hard or is it just a case of mounting it and connecting the wires(horn+airbag)? I think the s14 steering wheels are the same? Need help asap, so any advice is appreciated!

Because it was advertised as a 40th. Thats why i wanted to know the features of the 40th. As far as i can remember it didnt have any badges, but i dont remember looking at the seats, so there is a chance they are there. but it did have standard looking strut braces, i think with nissan badging.

I do have a vin, not for that one though. Its from a white 97 thats the seller is claiming to be a 40th. I have put up a thread in the general forum. but if you have fast going its 6U9000ECR33134065. Yeah the same as myself, i not looking at it because its a 40th, more of a bonus really. Does the build year appear on the build plate? i didnt see it when i looked. Yeah konrad i was thinking the same kind of thing with my other theory.

hmmm...thanks for that. I was just trying too work out why a '97 has 40th as well? I will have to question the seller of this car as to why he believes its a 40th. Still waiting on some pics of your car?

So you are saying that there is no difference in the vin numbers or model numbers of the 40th? only that they are built in '98? But even if they are built in late '97, by the time they would have been complianced and pre-delivery inspected in japan, it would have been the next year and may of copped the badge treatment then. so it would be a 97built/98complianced car.

Do the 40th have clear side indicators?

So all 40thanniv had the exterior and interior badges? Just asking because i was looking at a s2 which the owner claimed to be a 40thanniv but i dont recall any badges? It had the standard front bar and standard spoiler. Also i think that its a '97 model. But it did have rear and front strut braces. What exactly is the 40 ann. skyline? Did you ever find out the differences? How can you tell if a skyline is a 40th ann.?

What will the build plate indicate if its a genuine 40th anniversary?
