Ummm... u realise that the 40Gb PS3 is now available for $679 saw it in a catalogue just couple of days ago, without the games of course... so how negotiable are u on the price?

This is not a thread started against Dan in any way, im merely trying to find a solution to the problem. Many of us have been purchasing the coloured dash LED’s from 666Dan and why wouldn’t u, they look fantastic and came at a good price. Problem is quite a few of us have also been having problems with the LED’s blowing time and time again. Personally ive taken out my dash no less than 10 times, replaced the LED’s many times as they would last on average 2-3weeks each. Ive taken all the pre-cautions as advised by Dan, earth yourself before handling the LED’s, handle carefully by not touching the leads, making sure its not just a loose connection, etc. but they just keep blowing. I would like to stress that Dan has been very helpful throughout this and sent me replacement LED’s each time, the last lot bout 2mths ago, 10 replacements were sent & ive just used the last of it now and am still driving round with 2 blown LED’s. When I last spoke to Dan, he mentioned that these LED’s were made to take a 14V load, problem is some Skylines will push 15V or higher through the dash which significantly reduces the life of the LED’s. Solution was to add a dimmer (potentiometer) to the dash circuit. I would like to know if anyone else who’s had the same issue attempted this, how can it be done, how easy is it, etc. As ive got a R34, the dash plugs into a harness, I wouldn’t have a clue which wires I would have to cut & add a dimmer to.

Nice... shame bout the colour... Im not sure wots been done for the rear tho, looks like factory Gt-t fenders, i dont see any lines where a wide body fenders has been tacked on. Maybe they chopped the rear bar & shortened it. Front looks good tho.

Yea well if we get 2, he may just give us abit of a discount but ill hav to speak to him first. Its from GT Autostyle anyway, few guys from the forum have bought kits off him and he makes em as u order. Apparently his kits fit straight on unlike some of the cheaper kits. I can even point u to a guy on the forum who's got pics of that TS front bar fitted, looks mint. Well if u decide to, shoot me a pm n we can talk the sphincter of the universe.

Plus postage...lol Well try finding someone with a GTR wreck that hasn't got any damaged fenders, i searched for mths & had no luck. Wots wrong with the TS GTS-R bar? Its basically the same as the GTR bar u want minus some holes for fog lights & on the sides. Btw Marco, if u do decide on the TS GTS-R bar, ive got a sourced that may be able to give us a bit of a discount coz im lookin at getting one end of the yr or maybe in the NY.

Thats a Top Secret front bar for a GTR. U can get the same one for a Gt-t from Carmate called the TS2 http://carmate.com/product_details.php?pro...B&p_id=9662 But if u insist on fitting a GTR bar on, u will need GTR bonnet(CF ones r available) & hinges & pins & GTR fenders. Good luck finding a set of fenders. U may be lucky enuf, DNGRUS got a set to do a GTR conversion, check out her thread. And having wider fenders, u may then have to get rims with different offsets or it would just look silly...

Yea thats why i mentioned the Bel STI, its supposedly undetectable by RD detectors. But i agree with u on the laser, u may not get enough time to slow down b4 the laser picks ur speed up. So anyone know where u can get the jammers & for how much? Bring this to pm since they r illegal.

I just use regular NGK's round $6ea. All Iridiums do is last longer, they dont perform any better, there's plenty of threads bout plugs if u search. Just make sure u gap them correctly for the boost ur running.

Try it, put ur foot down n find out, then hit the button again to turn it off(TCS ON) n try again. If thats not the issue, refer to all other threads.

When that skid light comes on, the TCS has kicked in. Just in case u didnt know there is a TCS button on the left of steering just above ur knee. Hit that button, a light on the dash will pop up saying TCS OFF. Then put ur foot down n have fun, Oh be careful in the wet, boost on = sideways...

Apexi baby TT - double sided stickied to the slot where ur lights on/doors open speaker slot is, its to the left of steering, just above knee somewhere. Very stealth, ive got the black one n no one even notices it there, until it lights up, looks like its part of the factory dash.

Just a thought, wasn't the TCS control kicking in when u put ur foot down was it?

Anyone here know much about radar detectors? Are the K & Ka bands the most widely used bands in Aust? Are laser's in use? Im looking into The Bel Sti XR or the Valentine One(2 of the top models) and im looking at getting one in from the US. Are the US models compatible so its simply a plug n play? Btw. i am aware that these detectors are illegal in most of Aust, fortunately im in W.A. and they havent brought in a law against them yet. Having said that, the Bel Sti is also supposedly undetectable by radar detector detectors. Thanks in advance to anyone that can advise.

That front bar is the TS GTR front bar im looking at getting soon so NO dont get it coz im in Perth as well... lol. I havent seen that front bar round Perth so its gonna be unique. Those sides r Bomex & not sure bout the rears.

34 kits r pretty limited actually, not as many as the 32 & 33 aftermarket kits around. I reckon with that front bar u already have, u can simply add a GTR front lip(see pic). That'll give it a sorta GTR look but the front lip dont come cheap tho ~$600 from Powerplay. Leave the wing out, they r ghey, old skool and dont serve any purpose wotsoeva for a street car. 19's look nice but 18's would be better if ur gonna take it out on track day. Plenty of threads bout kits & rims here, do a search.

Mind if i ask wot the bits n pieces cost u? Pm me if u like. I was trying to do the same - found GTR front bar locally, bonnet i can get a aftermarket fibre or CF one. Fenders were the only thing i couldn't get hold off. Btw those fenders look like aftermarket fibre ones. U didnt get em off Deceeve on this forum did u?

Hey, hope u realise that to do a GTR conversion, you will require a GTR bonnet & fenders or get some custom made wide body fenders for the Gt-t. I went through this exercise just recently as i was trying to do the same but it was way too much work in the end. The GTR fenders are very hard to come by and removal of the factory fenders is abit of a pain as well. I did find some wide body fenders but it didnt fit the GTR bar in the end. Having said all that u can get the East Bear GTR front bar for a Gt-t but it will cost you about $2k just for the front, quality is awesome from wot ive read tho, sum food for thought... Luv the Impul sides as well, its wot ive got in mind. Agree with the Bomex & C-West. And to those that like the Do-Luck, this use to be the kit i luvvveeddd... until i saw it in the flesh at this yrs Autosalon. After a good look at it, I thought it was abit over the top. If ur interested in the TS GTR front bar, look up Forged's thread. He's got plenty of photos and thats the kit im leaning towards atm. Lookin at ordering one in the NY. Keep in mind that the local TS kit will not have the bottom lip like the real TS GTR one posted few threads above. That lip is a CF so u can imagine wot it'll cost...

I doubt the GTR lip is a striaght fit onto any Gt-t bars, the GTR has wider fenders and hence wider front bar & bottom lip. Sheng - i would be very interested to find out if that V-Spec GTR lip fits straight onto the TS bar. Please post pics & let me know when its fitted.

Hey Bass, where did u get those defi gauges from? Keep us posted on ur progress, i'd like to see the gauges in car and working as im looking for similar type of gauges since my factory boost gauge has been playing up lately.

Looking at getting a bodykit fitted & painted, it may possibly be a wide bodykit so the guys may have abit of work in fitting. Would like to know of anyone in the Perth metro area that has excellent knowledge in this and does excellent paint matching work. Ive spoken to Bruce at Fibrevision but would like to get a few other opinions and quotes. Cheers
