Hey all, Im currently building a audio system ~1000WRMS. I was told its a good idea to upgrade your grounding points. Also heard that the Skylines have been known to have bad grounding points. Anyone had a problem with this? As for upgrading the grounding points, is it just a matter of adding a few xtra 4Ga grounding cables to my -ve terminal: -ve to chassis, -ve to block? Any other points i should be focusing on? Cheers.

Thats the DMD front bar im planning to get. Do guards need to be pumped out for that front bar? Also is a new bonnet required or will that front bar fit the std 34 Gt-t bonnet.

Anyone know exactly how big the M n Pro light is, thinking bout getting one myself now. Damn this site... just makes me spend $$... lol. N i assume u can wire it to a 12V source with switch n fuse instead of using the cigarette lighter. Where do u guys place the light n black box with the +/- adjustments? Sorry Rachelle, didnt mean to hijack ur thread. Get ur bf the pivot, he'll luv u for it...

Tell him that if he doesn't thrash the car the last 2 street corners b4 parking that he shouldn't have to wait for a turbo cool down. But if he insist on it, then as above, they r all more or less alike, some with a few more features than other like lap timers, A/F ratio(theoretical)... but all do the same job. Im running a Apexi pentype, cheap, slim, sleek n easy to hide(from the cops). HKS does a good one as well with 1/4 mile timer. http://www.apexi-usa.com/product_electroni...8&pageNum=1 Check out the For Sale section, should be some decently priced ones there delivered.

Anyone know the legalities of bodykits? Is it dependent on ground & wheel clearance? Is it illegal altogether? If so how do they classify wot is and isn't illegal as some cars come out std with a kit. eg. factory Nismo front bar on a R34 Cheers

I doubt he's gonna remove n sell it separately or he wont have a H/U to run the rest of the gear. And if he is, he knows im after one of those H/U's

Thanks for the reply. I think a 10" even tho one that is on the next level up would produce sounds a slightly higher frequencies range to a 12". I'd prefer a 12" to get that low, deep frequency. I have posted on the CAA but thought i'd ask here as well since there seem to be a few ppl here in the know. Focal amps r still fairly new on the market i think so there hasn't been much tried n tested results altho im sure that they would be off a high quality if their speakers r anything to go by. Sound Quality is wot im after here but would also like a good SPL level so i can crank it up n not have the amp suffer. Anyone else who has some valuable comments to add, feel free.

Anyone here uses or has demo an Audison or DD amp? Would like a comparison between the Audison SRx3 and perhaps the DD C4a. Would also like some opinions on subs - looking at Boston G1/G2 or Focal 33V1/33V2 or DD subs. Amp will be driving front splits Focal 165V1/V2 or Boston S60/Sx50 and the sub above. Cheers.

190's is wots to be expected realistically. My 34 - Power FC, turboback, FMIC, BC kit - 194rwkw at 14psi. That was during the tune, i dont run it anymore than 13psi. Like most have said turbo is just out of efficiency after that.

Anyone here dealt with DMD The Image and have their modified Do-Luck kit for a 34 Gt-t? Would like to know how well it fits. Mainly interested in the front bad and perhaps a Bomex rear bar and sides. Wot do u guys think? Will the lines go together or would the Bomex look too apart from the Do-Luck front end? Cheers -

Damn... im trying to get away with minimal mods. dont really wanna replace my bonnet either, its in good nick. Ive been told by a bodykit shop here that they can modify the Do-Luck to fit a Gt-t(well they can modify anything to fit really) but it'll involve chopping the bar up n shortening it, etc. Ongsta... is that Do-Luck kit on display at `DMD The Image' fitted to a Gt-t? http://www.ebridge.com.au/dmdtheimage/ -
Can anyone tell me if the front end & wheelbase of a 34 GT-T is the same to that of a 34 GTR? Id like to know if a Do-Luck front bar would fit straight onto a GT-T. For those that dont know Do-Luck only made a kit for the GTR in the R34's & i know that the GTR has a wider factory rear end but not sure if the front ends the same. Would anyone know who imports these kits here in Oz? Im in WA. Cheers peeps.

Hey Saj Thats a nice n neat set-up. Did u get ur 310 H/U off ebay? Ive been watchin one there, listed at a good price but im abit iffy bout the seller. Ive noticed a no. of bids on his item but he keeps re-listing it n has no history of comments from other buyers/sellers. Also has not answered my question about whether its a genuine Alpine. I have not used Pioneer b4 so am not sure how good they r, tho they do look bling like u said. Did u have the problem of having to fill 2 spare holes in ur rear shelf? Im assuming u ran the 2nd battery from the boot, is it located behind the seats & how did u hold it down? Is this a worthwhile idea or would the std battery be sufficient for wot im trying to achive, anyone??

Did u just cover the 2 spare holes up with some MDF and re-carpet? Coz my rear shelf's got 4 holes, 2 on each side for factory twin speakers. Nice to know the Focals fits with minimal work. Wot else r u running with ur V1's Raistlin?

Hi, im currently looking at the following setup for my R34 GT-T. Wot do u guys think? Ive allowed several options. Feel free to suggest something different. Source unit: Alpine D100 or D310 – I believe both these units have an adjustable rail for the screen so the screen is able to sit further out to clear the air-cond unit above it. Can anyone, specially those with an R34, confirm this for me? Amp: Audison LRX 4.3 65WRMS x 4(4 Ohm) or 105WRMS x 4 (2 Ohm) Or the Audison SRX 4 60WRMS x 4(4 Ohm) or 85WRMS x 4 (2 Ohm) Although from the specs, these amps look like they r underpowered to run the splits and sub, I believe that Audison are very good amps and should be able to do the job. Correct me if im wrong. Fronts: Focal V1 6.5” splits 70WRMS Or Focal V2 6.5” splits 75WRMS. Can anyone confirm for me that these will fit into the doors or would i require a pod/spacer? Sub: Focal 30 A1 12” 250WRMS Or JL Audio W1 13” 200WRMS Or Focal 33 V1 13” 400WRMS Rear fills: Alpine 6.5” 2 way’s 30WRMS(these are from my old car) – run straight off the deck or from the amp if possible(im not sure if these can run be run with the bridged sub). The R34 came with twin factory speakers on the rear shelf so a hole on either side of the shelf will have to be filled. Has anyone with an R34 managed to do a neat job on this without removing the rear shelf & replacing the carpet? I am looking at getting a false floor built for the sub either using the wheel well as an enclosure which will mean a fibreglass n dynamat job, or having a raised floor just deep enough to take the sub but this would mean half of my boot space will be gone. Is it possible to port these types of enclosures? Anyone got pics of similar install, please post em or pm me if u like. Im also wondering whether u guys have ideas in keepin the weight down and have the enclosure built in a way so that the sub & floor can be removed when required? This is only for the odd occasion when I take my car out on a track day. Thanks in advance for to those that can help. Feel free to make a suggestion if u think there is a better way I can set this up. Cheers

My mistake... i exagerated it by saying spiking, fluctuations would be the more precise term. Either case, i havent heard of anyone else having this problem caused by an EBC. One would think that incorrect timing n fuel maps would be the more likely caus of it. Anyone else agree?

Nabil, my tune was done on a warm day. Paul, im pretty sure there are no restrictions on the exhaust, whole system is practically new, catback i have is a Blitz NUR Spec, one of the highest flowing catbacks on the market, when u look down the pipes, u can see straight thru to the other end. Cat is a Catco large body from BATMBL, split dump also from BATMBL. I'll be seeing my tuner next week but i just wanted a 2nd opinion on the problem. Cheers.

Hi, anyone out there running a EBC have problems with power fluctuations on their dyno graph? This is sorta a continuation from a post i did a few weeks back. Long story short, a no. of ppl mentioned that my power graph(attached) is all over the shop, timing n fuel maps could be out. Ive since spoken to my tuner n he seems to think its becoz im running a EBC. Reason for the unstable power graph is becoz the EBC pulsates alot. To solve it, take it out. Im not too convinced of the explaination given and i dont really want to remove a $460 EBC anyway. Bass Junky, u posted ur graph the last time, i can see that its way smoother than mine is, wot sorta boost ctrl were u running at the time? My mods - Power FC with boost ctrl kit, turbobak with split dump, FMIC, pod, BOV. Cheers. R34_dyno_Power___AFR.pdf

U'd be better off spending ur money on the xhaust first, if not a turboback, at least a catback with Hi-flow cat, see group buys for some great deals. No point getting a Power FC if u dont have an exhaust(see Paul's website), u wont gain much out of it with a restrictive xhaust. Bang for buck(power gain for ur $) u probly wont go past a turboback either. U can pick up used catbacks in the ForSale-Private section for a decent price sometimes. I did n im happy with my Blitz NUR Spec. Otherwise an X-Force is great value for $, if u wanna save $ and ur not bothered bout flashy Jap systems or xhaust tones. With an exhaust n the BC u already have, u should be able to make some decent power gains. Next step from there Power FC n if u wanna go with a bigger turbo, then a Z32 may be required. Cheers.
