  1. Aha. Wot mods r u running in urs Bass? Ive been looking thru numerous other dyno graphs on the forum, it does look like mine's rough as hell in comparison. If i brought the boost back to round 12psi would i still be able to achieve close to the same power figure? I'll give my tuner a ring today and see wot he's got to say. Wot should i say to him to smooth out the power curve? Is it a matter of correcting MAP figures?
  2. Dont they normally do the dyno run in 4th gear which is close to a 1:1 ratio? Correct me if im wrong, im no dyno expert. Im just interested in wot that 2nd graph was reading thats all. Back to the more important question. Should i perhaps bring it back to the tuner and tell him to smooth the curve our & drop the boost a lil... how do they smooth it out just out of curiosity? Also why do u guys think that the boost is dropping off towards the top end, could this be turbo inefficiency at 14psi? Cheers
  3. Hmmm... so should i perhaps bring it back to the tuner and tell him to smooth the curve our & drop the boost a lil... how do they smooth it out just out of curiosity? Also why do u guys think that the boost is dropping off towards the top end, could this be turbo inefficiency? Bass Junky, i didnt think that the lower 2nd graph could be a reading of torque coz if i converted the figures in LbFt to Nm i'd have a peak torque of 1550Nm. Altho that would be nice if it were only true..... Thanks for all ur comments/advice btw...
  4. Could my power curve be rough becoz they r individual runs like Abo Bob mentioned? Are those smooth graphs u guys posted a average power run? Just wondering?? Abo Bob - im running BATMBL's 5" body cat so i wouldn't have thought that it was a restriction, also have BATMBL's split dump & a Blitz NUR catback so i would have thought there should be minimal restrictions there. Boost Ctrl is the Apexi Power FC EBC, wouldn't have thought that was crap either. I can't think of wot else could be restricting it Also does anyone have any idea wot the lower graph with Lb on the right vertical axis reads? I thought it was torque at first but after converting Ft Lb(assuming thats wot it is) to Nm, it cant be torque. R34_dyno_Boost.pdf
  5. Hi ppls, my R34 GT-T had its first dyno last week. Im pretty happy my tuner managed to squeeze 194rwkw out of it at 14psi on the std turbo, virtually on the limit. I think he managed to do it coz the engine n turbo is in good knick. Wot do u guys think from the dyno graphs? A/F ratios still safe? Knocks were between 13-20 during the tune i was told, i only give it a squirt now n again, its not a track car as yet, i noticed that knocks were around 15 usually. Mods - Power FC & boost controller, turbobak with split, FMIC, pod, BOV, plugs gapped at 0.7. Any comments welcome. Cheers. R34_dyno_AFR.pdf R34_dyno_Boost.pdf
  6. 250rwkw on the stocker... that's great. Above mods are all ive got atm, a Hi-flow may come but not in the near future, unless i blow the current one, touchwood!! Will do some more reading on Paul's page. Thanks guys.
  7. Wots the difference between a Q45 and Z32 AFM? Which would suit better? 34GT-T running up to 12psi, Power FC, turboback, FMIC, pod. Also is there much work invloved in wiring up the AFM? Thanks to anyone that can help.
  8. Lithius any problems with running the BCPR6ES-8 in ur GT-T? I heard they r a shorter plug than the factory std PFR6G-11. I was planning to use the BKR6E, similar to the BCP6ES except they have the V-power(grooved) electrode. Some have said to me stick with the factory plug n just gap them down to 0.8.
  9. Im still waiting for a reply on the FAULTY Turbo Timer u sent me, its been close to 2 weeks since i notified you n ive sent u numerous emails.
  10. Any idea about the cost of these devices Link?
  11. Thanks guys. I had another look on the NGK site, listed under Nissan Imports is a R34 but only the RB26 motor, plug required for that is the PFR6A-11, couldn't find a Stagea?? Can u just re-gap them with a set of pliers?
  12. Hey ppls, can anyone clear the confusion n give me the right answer. My R34 GT-T running around 12psi(goin in for a tune soon) is misfiring occasionaly. Looking for a new set of plugs as its currently running std plugs i believe. Im after the NGK coppers since most have said that the Iridiums r not really worth the $ when u do the change urself n add the cost up. Is the NGK BKR6E the one? I think this is pre-gapped at 0.8 or do i need a 0.7? Is this the right heat range or do i require a 7 or something colder? Ive done the searches, read the threads n even asked a question there myself but it seems like there's no conclusive answer. In fact a no. of ppl came out more confused than before. There also seems to be alot more talk about the RD25DET there but im not sure if the RB25NEO requires different plugs. On the NGK site closest listing was the PFR5G-11(something different again) for the GTR. Dont kno if its a R32, 33 or 34. This is pre-gapped at 1.1 n i understand u shouldn't really try n re-gap it down to 0.8 as it could damage the tip and the tip is also no longer parallel. Just in case anyone needs to know tho i doubt it, mods r Power FC & BC kit, FMIC, turbobak with split, pod, BOV. Cheers guys n gals.
  13. Well like i said im running 12psi, and possibly even up to 14psi, will see wot my tuner can do when i get it tune. With this boost the std 1.1 gap would blow out i believe, Will check my coils but i think they r fine, its just misfiring a lil round the top end atm. So anyone kno the no for the NGK i need? V-power coppers 0.8 gap, not sure of heat range. Is there someone i can get these off online?
  14. Hey, i too am looking for the right plug for a 34GT-T and after doing a search n some reading incl. the thread by R33S2 with over 153 replies that took me half an afternoon to get thru, im probably more confuse now than before i started looking. Planning on running da 34GT-T on 12psi, maybe even a tad more since i usually only give it short squirts. Planning on sticking to NGK coppers, in the V-power if i can get em, from wot ive read, i believe i should be using 0.8mm for that sorta boost, not sure which heat range. Anyone know wot the model no. for the plug i need and where i can get a set from? I need a set pretty soon.
  15. Ive got a Hybrid kit and im happy with its quality. Having said that if the Greedy kit was available at the time i bought my Hybrid(only ~3 mths ago) i would have gone for that instead. Reason being, with the Hybrid kit, its not a simple case of bolt on and off u go. In most cases the fan blades have to be cropped to clear the top pipe& brackets have to be modified to fit. In my case i manage to get away with chopping the fan blades on my 34 but had to get some brackets made up to have it fit properly. The washer bottle also had to be moved to clear the pipes. So i think wot the guys here r trying to say is, u could save $100 on the Hybrid but be prepare to spend more on fitting it, possibly more than the $100 difference. So IMO, i'd go with the Greddy, assuming that it fits well without any extra butchering.
  16. Hmmm... interesting. Mines well secured to the bracket n bracket is screwed to the chassis so no loose fittings. SK which boost control kits have u been using? I was told that most of the solenoid valves rattle, the Apexi ones just louder than most n very noticeable.
  17. Yup rattles quick just as it comes on boost, its annoying so u may have to just put up with it. When i first had mine in, i thought it was my turbo wheel hitting the housing, took out the intake pipe, checked the shaft for play n was all good. Took me awhile but i soon realised that it was just the BC valve. Perhaps a good pair subs will help drown the noise out...... Im trying to overcome the drone from my Blitz catback, now that's loud, even hurts my ears if im in the car for awhile...
  18. You didnt fit a Apexi boost control kit as well did u? I had mine in just last week n the solenoid valve makes a rattle when it comes on boost, alot louder than i expected. Apparently the Apexi valve is one of the loudest ones around so i was told.
  19. I pm'ed u couple of days ago. Replies??
  20. Does this CAI fit a R34 GT-T? After a clear lid one. I also have a Hybrid FMIC kit, hope this CAI kit doesn't fowl with FMIC piping. Would also like to know where CAI kit is getting its air intake from? Cheers
  21. Hi BT, im also looking for a catback with oval(twin tip) muffler but for a R34 GT-T. Preferably with just the rear muffler, no mid muffler or resonator & with the least amount of bends, i'd like a system with the least amount of flow restriction. Any suggestions? Please pm me. Cheers.
  22. Money transfered as per my email. 1xPower FC, 1xApexi boost controller kit & 1x Commander holder. Thanks Paul. Kevin
  23. Add me to your buyers list. Contact me via email for payment details as previously mentioned. Cheers. Kevin
  24. Yeah i cant seem to find it on eBay either. Anyone know where Turbotech Mark's gone? Or can anyone recommend a equivalent boost controller?
  25. The EBC kit that is an optional xtra for the PFC is a rather expensive kit at $440 although im sure some will argue that u get wot u pay for. I may opt for a manual type control valve at this stage and perhaps move onto a EBC when i can afford one. As for the Commander reading boost, im gathering from wot Paul said, that u will need to get a MAP sensor & wire one in for this function to work. 2 bar MAP sensors ~$139 So ill probably be better off to just get a separete boost gauge and forget about trying to use the Commander to double as my gauge. Where does the sensor for a boost gauge go?
