  1. Excuse me for my dumbness, but is a tappet cover the same as a 'rocker' cover? As wehn it was at the tuners he replaced teh rocker cover because it was leaking, so id be happy with that result I will check over the coilpacks and wiring, just after i have lunch Good man, any help is of assistance and ive generally got no idea...
  2. Hey guys, Did a quick search and couldnt find wat i needed and im in a bit of a rush as the cars apart etc... Ok so i just did a comp test and results are: Cyl 1 - 165 2 - 160 3 - 160 4 - 155 5 - 160 6 - 170 As far as i know thats not too bad besides cyl 4 being a lil low. Anyone care to enlighten? Ok next question. On cyl 3 and 4 there was oil underneath the coilpacks. Ive taken a pic to show wat im talking about. Now just last week i had it at tuners and he did a comp test, where upon he told me the compression was low but didnt give me the readings because he forgot. So i wanted to know how low and which cyls was low so i can diagnose the problem etc. Could he possibly have done a 'wet' comp test and this be spilt oil? Im not sure... Next ques. One of the spark plugs had more black residue around the head than the others. Once again ive taken a pic. I think it was the 6th cyl sparky. Anything to worry about here? Last question. The other reason i wanted to pull the car apart was because of a misfire my car seems to be having. Its got 5 splitfire coilpacks and 1 yellow jacket coilpack, reason for this one splitfire melted aand couldnt find an individual one to replace it. Anyone see a problem with this? Now also the spark plugs that are in there are NGK V-Power R5671A-8 plugs. Im assuming the -8 means there gapped to 0.8mm? Are these good spark plugs for my mildly modded r33? This is why im in a rush, cuz if they not so good then i'll need to duck out and replace them while the cars apart.... So after all that i thnkyou for ANY help that is given.   3. does anyone see a problem with using 2 different types of coilpacks? I had a set of splits in my rig and one of the spark plugs came loose and melted a coilpack and the wiring too, wirings been fixed and because i couldnt find a place that sells splits individually so i went and bought a yellowjacket. They all theoretically do the same thing right?
  4. Haha you know wat, after near 25 years of copping shit for my surname youve just come up with something new that no one has thought of. Kudos to you good sir... Ok, so i didnt want to start any arguements for starters and everything that has been said has been helpful, bit out of my brain capacitys league but thanks none the same. So my options are that the turbos holding back the power or that the tuners been conservative and trying to look out for my engine. I didnt get a chance to call him yesty so it'll have to wait til monday and see wat he thinks. Unfortunately that is the only printout i recieved, so no afr's or exh temp printouts. And alls was told to me about the low compression was yeah that it was a little low on a couple of cyl's.. Oh and it does have 3" metal intake too... Plenty of food for thought guys, thanks again Will hopefully update with some answers...
  5. Im running a powerfc. Thats wat i was thinking too about the low compression.. I'll call him up tomorrow and hopefully get some more answers.
  6. Ok guys, I just got my car back from the tuner and it feels a little slower than when i took it in despite gaining 20 more hp. Its got highflow inj, 040 fuel pump, fmic, zorst, adj cam gears, z32 afm, splitfire coilpacks and slide highflow turbs. It made 265hp at 14psi. It previously made 247 and was tuned with more boost but the actuator was failing (this was with a different tuner). As well as the tune it had a new rocker cover gasket and spark plugs put in. The compression was tested too and apparently its a little low on a couple of cylinders, would that have any effect on the output? Im just stuck as to what could be wrong. The tuner said it was a fair enough reading and that was to be expected with the turbo setup as he doesnt rate highflows much. I dont know too much about these things but ive seen peoples results with these turbos on here and they're making more power than I did with less mods/boost... Any ideas or am i crying over spilt milk?
  7. Great price, if u were near me I'd snap these up in a second. As far as I know, if ur a bit handy with tools u can modify the stock rails to suit or justjap does sell model specific rails for $400 plusish
