I havent had that problem yet with mine as it hasnt had no major dramas, hell it still hasnt cracked it's head yet lol that must be rare for VLs. It is pretty silly asking whether to buy a VL or a R31 on a Skyline site as the R31 would get the thumbs up just like if it was posted at CT the VL would get the thumbs up. Even if this was asked at Boostcruising I still think it would be biased towards R31s as most people there dont have a clue about VLs all they see them as is Bogan Pieces of shit. Well I certainly have not regretted my decision owning a VL, infact I like them so much I want to buy one with a V8 this time around.

Great thing about VLs is parts are so easy to find because you can go to Holden or Nissan. I got my head gasket from Nissan and my Alternator is from a R31.

Well since I own a imac VL myself I cant really say. For the record not ALL VLs are pieces of shit and not all of the drivers are wankers. VLs can be a great car if in kept in great condition, just look at mine for a good example, Racsov500 knows what im talking about. IMO VLs have so much more style then R31s. Also if you buy a VL make sure its a 5 speed, Autos are slow and have no balls (Unless its Turbo).

Also 26GTS are both of them 5 speeds? because that may change the outcome also.

I think it would be a very very close race but I would see the VL catch it up top due to the gear ratios and lighter weight. I know im new the SAU but it shits me when people bag on VLs without anything backing it up. I wish some people would give VLs respect and unfortunately the VLs do compliment the RB30 more than what the r31 does,keeping in mind I dont hate r31s I just think the RB30s are more at home in the VLs IMO.

Heres a couple of pics of the exterior aswell as the interior. I know the plates seem a bit silly on a near stock N/A 5 Speed which is why im getting rid of them next year when the rego runs out. Also the tacho is getting the boot aswell. I want to try to keep it as classy and as clean as I possibly can.

Hello everyone My name is Ryan im almost 20 (In 2 weeks yah ) anyway I have a 86 5 speed VL SL which ive had for almost 3 years now. This is its engine bay as you can see it isnt a turbo ( ) but anyway it does the trick for me and I love it. Anyway peace out hope to know some of you soon enough.
