  1. well u cant really do coolant presure check with it out of the car. compression test is a must!. look of the engine. remove the oil cap and not any gunk around the lip and any white coolant around the cap.. white noramally means coolant leak(blown head gasket).. check seals. u got engine out cheack rear main. turn the crank over a few times.. if the engine is really bad it might make a noise. inspect belts. check tappet cover gasket. check sump seal. check if the nissan stickers on the exhast cam have been ripped.atleast take a plug out inspect tip. look down the plug hole inspect carbon build up. get a warranty on it. what is the purpsose of the engine? gonna drop it in a gtst? a silvia..? hope it helps.
  2. today mine was half of the last bar u divide the whole bar like / /4 / /8 i was below the bottom / very alarming during idle.. i figured it was tied in with my AFM plug acting up. on the highway it read 4 and boosting it read above 4. im changing my oil tomorrow and changing my leaking oil filter (ryco oil seal is ripped). using castrol R 10w/60 and valvoline filter this time.
  3. damn thing is a tight fit aye.. first time i did mine i cut my hand deep too and i got a scare from my GTR. once ur get it loose. (i use 3 prong oil filter wrench on 3/8 rachet) u can use rubber gloves and attack it that way. once off jiggly it so that the hole is facing up and stick ur finger in the hole and fish it out pass the hicas crap. im actually doin mine tomorrow as i found a spare filter in the garage. rec. dnt use Ryco.. the rubber seal ripped on mine.!

  5. yes power FC de jetro. u have to run an extra map sensor off cyl 3-4 ive found one with sensor for $1400 but problem is not many shops in aust tune it well.. its a big ask. looking at 2000 tunned and running. R32s have bad oil management!.. its sad.. a sump baffle will fix it.. an oil cooler with remote filter will help fix it to. have more oil 7.5L upwards and ur winning the war against ur golden syrup slopping around.

  9. Have u tried using the stock boost solinoid. does theEBC have a self learning mode. try reseting the ECU and running the stock solanoid.

  11. I also have the same problem but diagnosed as AFM connector plug. am looking for a new plug.. i pushed the pins and created a better connection but screwed up again today driving during the heat 1.30pm the oil pressure guage also drops to half. related issue?
  12. very very nice mate. also have GTR in aus. i understand u gotta kill a man to get a GTR in the US.. congrats.. blwo the socks off them chevs and mustangs. just wondering.. what ECU should i use on my RB26DETT i want to deal away with AFM's an d run a single turbo.? any ideas?

  16. 2530s r near the limit at 400kw.. but good all round turbo.. dnt just look at turbo what ecu u gonna use and injection?
  17. anything actually wrong with ur motor? 103kms aint too much. RB26 r a pretty damn strong machine. make any funny noises? and did u just recently do ur 100,000kms service?
  18. if u really wanted to u could stretch 2530s to 400kws. do u plan on running high 10secs? im planning on using 2530s on a later date keep the twin theme and work on response rather than power. thats wat GTR is about

T-belt done in japan at 67kms and its at 93kms now.. dnt knw bout tensioners.. but car engine in tip top shape.. so guessing so.. what will happen if ur belt snaps..? uh picture ur cams miss alinging pushing ur buckets down and holding them piston coming up smashing valves and wat not.? just metal carnage
  21. MAP sensor? i cleaned my AFM's on my RB26 smoother, also regapped plugs no misses now.. and revs to 8000+. just need a new AFM plug..
  22. remember change coolant every 24months reguardless of Kms. just a question.. skyline radiator rubbers r they prone to deteriorate with red coolant like commodores? its one of the ingredients that destroys rubber. do skylines have same problem?
  23. u mutalated a beautiful GTR front.. should just take ur front splitter off i would have brought it off u.. hybrid kits never fit 100%.. i also got sunburnt fitting one to my GTiR. was fun.. but they r a good kit none the less
