  1. enjoy your car, If its not broken dont fix it. Do the timing belt and just enjoy the car if you treat your car right you can go on for heaps more kilometres before a rebuild.
  2. Yeah thanks craved i was just about to say something.
  3. fantastic, Put pics up when you can.
  4. Thanks heaps again guys, was thinking of calling lubemobile to come and have a look but they charge a bit to just come out. just gonna wait till sat and take it down to the mechanics. cheers
  5. Cool Cool, thanks for that yeah im gonna keep an eye on the coolant so it doesnt overheat. I just got a quote for unigroup for a 100,000km service $1000 (13hrs of labour)for labour and $500 for parts im like damn cant afford that now just paid rego. Have to figure something out. Hope my local mechanic can take the water pump out with out taking the timing belt off. I guess if worse comes to worse bring out the good old credit card dammit
  6. Im thinking it is the water pump. Should i replace the whole water pump or is there a way to seal the bearing?? Im guessing a water pump from nissan is like $165.00 so i guess changing the water pump is the best option.
  7. ???????? anyone... could it be water pump or thermostat?? wish i noticed this before cause saturday afternoon no mechanic is open dammit guess cant drive my car till next weekend when i take it to my local mechanic to get everything pressure tested.
  8. Hey all, noticed car is leaking coolant near the front of the engine bay. I notice a puddle of green coolant on the garage floor, seems to be coming from the middle front part of the engine. I look underneath and notice coolant leaking from the plastic cover which is taken off when oil change is done. car doesnt overheat and engine runs well. any ideas. checked hoses they dont seem to be leaking.
  9. anyone have their rims restored and fixed all there gutter scrapes. Did you guys take them to a proper mag shop or have one of those mobile paint companies come to your place to fix them. any clue on how much they charge so I dont get ripped thanks.
  10. cool cool, just wondering cause a mate of mine is selling his 10 inch pioneer sub there the free air bullet kind. So i started wondering. Splits up front for nice treble and a 10 inch in the tray for added bass. anyone out there know of someone who has attempted this?? or whether its a feasible idea.
  11. Just a thought if a custom parcel shelf is made is it possible to fit one (if your crazy enough 2) 10 inch sub there?? Just a thought. Cause if it is then splits up front and sub(s) in parcel tray would be awesome for someone who doesnt want to put subs in boot. Is it at all possible or is it just a pipe dream???
  12. If the engine is well built and maintained and treated well what is the average life of a RB25/30?? Ive been advised 60,000km if lucky. Just seeing whether the big bucks is worth the bang. How much of a lag monster is it also?? Sorry im sure question has been answered but no time to scroll through 260 pages.
  13. Just got a response from Lube mobile they said this. Its a little bit excessive I think. "In response to your e-mail, the labour to perform the 100 000km Log Book Service (Including fitting your Water Pump, Timing Belt and Tensioner). is only $588.20"
  14. Aww this reminds me its time to do my 100,000km service also. Just emailed Unigroup for a price fingers crossed its not too crazy. How long did it take to get the whole service done?? Did you get the car back the same day??
  15. Hey how you all going. Ive heard of guys on here running 6x9's without modifying the parcel shelf (cutting in to the chassis) I know someone who got a new parcel shelf built but is there a simpler way to do it and still make it look very neat and legal. Pics would be appreciated also. Thanks
  16. Eboost 2 are really good at holding boost and also if you dont have an aftermarker boost guage then you can use this as its also doubles as a boost guage. a pretty good lil device.
  17. well cold start ups is common with skylines. Though 30 seconds does sound like a long time to fun crap. I know skylines that do it but for only a couple of seconds then warms up normally.
  18. Where do you get these Rainbow speakers im having a lil trouble finding people who stock em?? im thinking of getting the pioneer TS-C160R splits for the front would this be a better choice than the rainbows for the front stage??
  19. GFB has a wide range of bov's is this the hybrid bov?? that you can adjust 50% atmo and 50% plumb back??
  20. are there rainbow speakers any good?? Yeah Ive had subs in the past and yeah dont want to use them. Id rather just have a speaker set up capable is delivering reasonable bass. i understand i'll never get the same bass as a sub but i can cope.
  21. Hey all. Im wondering if anyone knows of a nice set of 6-6.5 inch speakers which provide a decent amount of bass which i can use as rear speaker on my R33?? Im not after subs so just wondering if there are any on the market that provide nice bass like 6 x 9's?? If not i'll have to look at 6 x 9's with a custom parcel shelf. cheers.
  22. Why dump the 6x9's?? If your willing to spend the time to make a new parcel shelf from MDF then its a fairly decent way to go. The added bass you get from the 6x9's is pretty good if you dont wanna go subs. I know a guy with splits up front and 6x9's rear custom parcel shelf sounds good once amplified.
  23. Love the skyline bashing in a skyline forum - Im sure the members of the sylvia and supra forums are looking for members.
  24. Didnt feel as quick cause you couldnt hear the loud sound. from my experience the apexi is quite loud. Personally stock box with hi flow filter is good. no heatsoak and car sounds good enough. didnt by a turbo because of the sound it makes.
  25. Trust PE II cat back with catco cat and batmbl split dump pipe. Can barely hear it on idle and when driving its not drony at all and not loud way below the DB level. cops love it.
