dammit im at work and dont have access to ebay. is it any good??? does it keep the hot air away good i want the cool induction noise but dont want to have an exposed pod and dont want losing power due to excess heat.

Nah i went to just jap and saw one of these for sale and thought hmm that would be nice in my R33. But yeah looks like i'll be buying a busted one and rebuild it. thanks anyways.

If I buy one of these types of engines what would need to be added to make it a complete drop in and ready to rock n roll application thanks. its a gtr engine by the way.

if your having problems putting on a pod air filter i suggest you go to a mechanic and get him to do it for you then you have peace of mind. A pod filter will not blow your engine but it will lose power due to the pod sucking in hot air.

stock one less hassles. If you cant live without the psssht sound then get one which vents to the atmo aswell as recirculates the air. either way car will not run the same cause afm will read an amount of air then it will be lost and ecu will compensate by using more fuel. If not buy a safc II piggyback and all good

Hmmmm so if i just replace the the r33 actuator with the R32 one tune the safc II should i notice a diffence in power and performace without removing the 2 stage boost control???

My lifters are a lil noisy on start up only, would changing to solid lifter make any difference??? or just replace to new standard lifters.

Yeah a friend of mine has fmic, aftermarket Blow off valve, bit more boost and has a SAFC car runs sweet!!!!

So for example when you get an EBC does the 2 stage still apply???

Just wondering if removing this 2 stage thing is hard and how to do it. Is it even worth it cause ive been advised that having lower boost for launch would be better for traction. Lastly is removing this 2 stage boost control is it detrimental to the engine at all??

Hmmmm thats pretty good considering the 2 stage boost thing R33's have where you dont hit full boost till higher up the rpm range. What are these supporting mods.

Is was checking out with RB25DET power thread and with performance wise he had the following mods and got a crazy power output. 93 R33GTST S1 Stock Turbo Stock Internals Stock intercooler factory set boost Power FC pod filter(no CAI) 3" turbo back, high flow cat, 3" back, 4.5" tip - all stainless. ss bov New NGK iridiums (BCPR6EIX11- suited to RB20 but runs cooler with RB25 in our conditions) caltex vortex (would have prefered ultimate but.....) 183.3rwkw (19/11/04)

Well depends on your budget I guess- Turbo Back Exhaust Hi flow turbo Fuel pump injectors Aftermarket ecu with a great safe tune dont forget a new clutch if you dont then no point having 250 atw.

Personally I dont base my decision on price. I prefer quality over budget.

Well if you still want the fully sick pssht sound by a GFB stealth blow off valve which re circulates the air aswell as dumps. set atmo to like the smallest setting make sure springs are set right should be ok but car will still seem to run slower cause it will run richer. cant get around it i guess.

Hmmmmm so i guess all the people driving around with pod are infact making there cars lose power. So no damage to engine cool just makes it slower hmmm. I was thinking of getting some wank whoosh factor going but i guess the negatives out number the positive.

Im just thinking the pod filter increased intake temps due to it sucking in hot air but if combined with a high quality fmic wont this cool the intake temp and eliminate heatsoak?? correct me if im wrong. im thinking of putting a pod filter and dont want to be encountered with any car problems. im well aware of the legal issues. does a pod filter damage your engine? im thinking of the apexi pod. thanks guy

Apexi pods has a loud induction noise, basically amplifies the sound your car makes when u have the stock box and bov. If you car is fluttering get it checked because it can cause damage.
