  1. engine and gearbox package would be $3800 alone
  2. cool cool. I was just interested thats all. By the way you have a hot cars SECUR1TY and Craved.
  3. Im just wondering when the time comes when you have to change your engine for one in better condition how can you make sure your getting something which is in good nick and is not just a thrashed item?? Are there any hints or things that should be looked at and done before purchasing a engine?? also what would be a reasonable amount to pay to recondition/rebuild a RB25DET back to its beautiful factory brand new condition??
  4. It may be a long shot but what about a ecu reset???? Worth a try i reckon.
  5. Maybe faulty tps could be a prob aswell
  6. Well yeah I wouldnt run 91 ron hell no!!! Will cause headaches in long run with cost repairs possibly. Just atleast use 95 ron. If you cant then just seel your skyline and buy another cheaper car to run.
  7. I had a GFB BOV on my car. The car didnt feel as responsive with one. So got rid of it. It may have been the same prob as you.
  8. I think the skylines you were passenger in had a few other mods. If you increase boost, fmic and drop in a aftermarket computer the skyline changes to a whole new kind of beast.
  9. Psybic could be right also. with 10psi and a front mount everything should be good. Like i was saying if your running stock boost and a front mount and a turbo back throttle response will drop a bit but nothing so noticeable. so with 10psi your car should be kicking some serious butt. Apexi bov ay hmmm not a fan of bovs this could be making it run even richer if your not running a aftermarket piggyback or ecu. Check for leaks . did you do it yourself or get it proffessionally??
  10. nice job tangles. looks good but it doesnt look that enclosed especially the other side not where the snorkel is but the other side cant water get in through there cause its not blocked off???
  11. I agree will run richer if anything. what other mods do you have??? A guy i know has a full turbo back exhaust with a split dump and a fmic which uses the factory piping and the car runs the same just better on warmer days. so yeh things may vary from skyline to skyline then. i guess running more boost will help.
  12. Yeh well the pod selection is easy the next problem would be heatshielding. All good too put on a pod filter but if its sucking in hot air then can anyone say detonation!! especially on those lovely 40 degree plus australian summers.
  13. spoke to mechanic bout this and yeah exactly what the guys have already said in here. Use a heavier oil, it goes away after a while because the oil level has to rise and lubircate parts something like this. If its still doing it while its warm and driving around and gets louder while accelerating then yeh thats a different story I believe.
  14. Yeh ive got a apexi panel filter but yeh no induction sounds. I am thinking bout going for the apexi pod. not to sure yet just want to make sure its all sweet.
  15. same prob here it was clutch fork. Supposedly to reach the clutch fork its a pain in the butt thing to get too.
  16. well its not a ticking sound no other idea how to explain it properly but I know what tyre noise sounds like.
  17. you can also hear it when like doin 60km/h also but once you drive for a while the tickin sound seems to go cause the tyres warm up. But for the time they are ticking embarrassing cause its like people think something wrong with ur car. should of stuck with the pirellis or did some research as people say they are loud as tyres. didnt think new tyres could be loud i guess its the compound or whatever.
  18. lots of sensible driving. Yeh the noise of the tyre is annoying. Im thinking of just changing them. Just a warning to you guys dont buy these brand tyres noisy az. I wonder why tyres do make the ticking sound its just crap hehe.
  19. geez thats expensive!!! I have a Trust cat back,Split dump/front pipe and hi flow cat from batmble all heaps cheaper than what the are quoting you for a xforce system. shop around!!
  20. I have also just have come back from clark rubber and they recommend a product called "isoboard" it is used in the refridgeration industry!!!!!!
  21. hahah nah I take too much care of my car to do stupid stuff in gravel carparks. i'll check rocks and stuff. after some further research they said these tyres are known to be loud so yeh great. As soon as they go bald im going for some toyo's
  22. well I guess you can buy the cheaper hybrid front mount then go to a exhaust shop and get custom piping which runs through your stock piping which will require no hole cutting then or fan clipping
  23. I would not consider wheel bearings I use to have pirelli before and at 100km/h plus silent az as soon as i changed tyres wham noise. Just shit tyres hehe. ohwell i will drop tyre pressure hopefully it does something.
  24. hks ssq with a plumback feature. Im not very familiar with this bov. is it like a gfb hybrid you can have it 50% plumback and 50% atmo or whats the go???
  25. blitz Lm fmic kit. Hooks up to all standard piping so not cutting or clipping of fans. easy peezy. its abit pricey but yeh less mucking around
