Full replacement?? well im looking for something to use with my new apexi pod which is brand new unused

How was the UAS without the tubing?? Also anyone have any experience with the ARC item and other pics.

That ARC induction box looks shmick!!! Anyone have any pics of them installed?? will this fit my apexi pod?? or do i need to rearrange the way the pod goes???

like i said not too worried bout spending the money for a quality set up. im going to check the arc box. I like the idea of keeping the snorkel. Is the UAS one any good???

Hey all i have one of those apexi super pod filters and i want to install but not going to do it without a proper heatshield. I cant be bothered making one myself so which would be the best ones for the R33 skylines i have a series 2 but R33 i assume are all the same. I have seen the clear top ones sold here any reviews on them?? I know a guy who has one and got it ceramic coated to make sure the pod is properly cooled would this be the best way to go as its enclosed and protects pod/afm from dirt/water?? what about those UAS cold air boxes are they any good and protect the pod aswell as afm from water and stuff?? or should i get one custom made by a shop?? so many choices so hard to choose. Im NOT after a budget option either im after high quality. btw i have the standard intercooler.

well the flutter on a skyline is compressor surge not such a good thing to have if you value the life of the turbo. the 50/50 set up should be fine.

Hey all just wondering if people can post up which speaker brands and models are direct replacements for the front speakers on a R33. Not interested in stuffing around and want to purchase a nice direct fit front speaker which will run nicely off my head set for the time being. Thanks im sure other people out there would be interested also.

I had one not bad but got sick of the PSSSSSHT very quickly.

Yeh i hate hot weather doesnt drive as good in cold weather. if putting a fmic makes my car drive like it does in cold weather all year around then it would be worth it. I know a couple of s15's running stock boost and just an exhaust with fmic and runs great all year round just checking if its the same on skylines.

Hey 180_mph I was speaking to the mechanic and they told me the same as you. I dont have a pod but a apexi panel filter and it improves performace. did you notice the car running richer or anything negative.

can be the air flow metre,it can be a gummed up AAC valve it,vacuum leak. just have to play the elimination game.

Well ive always taken the negative one off so yeh not to sure there sorry.

Ok well this is the deal. I own a series 2 r33 skyline. Love it to bits and have kept it reasonably stock with only a turboback system and thats enough for me cause means less hassles. Ok well for my birthday my freinds all chipped in and bought me a Blitz LM spec FMIC kit which is a direct fit hooks up to factory pipes and stuff. I am not going to boost my car or do other stuff to it so would you recomment i install it??? Last night i was driving in the cold condition and the car drives heaps mad compared to when its hot so im wondering maybe this will make it run awesome in hot weather. Not to sure if i'll get any negative affects like making it run super rich and stuff or mess with other stuff like idle,ecu etc. I once slapped on a bov which i was given as a gift and totally regretted it. so yeh what do you guys think???? would my car suffer from this or would my cars engine/ factory ecu longevity suffer??

Hi i am initially after a standard R33 gearknob in excellent condition. I own a series 2 R33. also if anyone owns a gearknob which is a screw in exact fit ( for example the leather nismo item) then i wanna hear from you. not interested in allen key fitment types. thanks

Well have the car turned off and just disconnect the negative terminal you dont need to disconnect the two.

also yeh as mentioned try ecu reset- just disconnect battery, turn lights on pump on the break like 5 times to drain car of all power and reconnect battery and go for a drive.

could be blow off valve just change it to the stocker and see if it helps. Also get your cars ecu plugged up to a consult and check the tps and other sensors.

Maybe the car is fine. could be just thinking the car is running bad. maybe alittle paranoid.

Cool very informative. Im just going to go for the 4 speaker set up not sub. Keep the weight down as much as i can. I also been told the rears on a R33 are 6.5 inch's for a direct fit and the fronts are between a 6inch and a 6.5 inch this makes finding fronts hard. anyone have pics of their in cabin 4 speaker set ups?? would be great to see what other fellow skyliners have done.

Michael i think u have a very tolerant R33 which makes you a very lucky man. Many R33 have super sensitive air flow metres. The majority of the skylines dont have atmo bovs i have noticed. I wouldnt mind having a hks ssqv but its 100% atmo but unless ur running a aftermarket ecu or piggyback computer it would cause probs if its not stalling then u'll be running rich az and stuff your cat converter,black smoke out of exhaust and back firing. is it really worth all that i dont think so.

Just sell the HKS SSQ as atmo bov's always cause problems. If you want sound use the money and buy a pod and put your stock BOV on and dont forget to heat shield the pod. No more stalling and you still keep the sound. its a win-win situation.
