yeh it does help alot. I just want a nice sounding system which is clear not distorted like heaps of systems ive heard on the street which sound terrible. Im going to check out this location now for the amp and make surei buy one which will fit nicely. ive been told infinity component speakers are awesome. I know a real good installer so should be good.

Hi all im wondering where would the best place to locate a 4 channel amp in my R33?? im not going to be using a sub woofer just decent quality speakers all round. Also im after nice sounding set up with a good balance of treble and bass which would sound nice and clear from outside. not a fan of sub woofers. what speaker would you suggest I use for the front and rear. I was thinking those cool pioneer splits the yellow ones 6.5 inch for the front any good?? your advice would be great thanks.

Hi all i have a R33 skyline the only mod i have is a turboback exhaust and i was wondering should i be using a octane booster?? My car only sees Shell Optimax or BP ultimate. I dont go to the track or drags. Is the 98 RON safe enough or do our cars need to have this additive also. I was also curious with oil changes and services do you guys do it based on the amount of K's the car has done or the date of your last service. thanks guys

just wondering why didnt you get custom piping which is like the pic you have there which uses the standard intercooler route. It would have saved you some time and you dont have to cut any holes or anything like that. A guy i know bought a hybrid fmic and the piping was like the blitz lm piping which just follows the factory piping. would have been a bit easier.

How much boost u running?? Could be boost cut, probs the AFM is on its way out. Are you running stock ecu?? Also check the cars TPS.

where are they located I need to fix my wacky idle prob.

Trust power extreme II very nice sounding even with split dump and hi flow cat. No annoying drone just a nice subtle skyline grumble. NICE!!!

Yeh leaks ay?? So putting soapy water would be fine??? How do you check AFM?? Do I need to take the whole thing out. Is there a test to check is its gone or is the probem?? The car is doing it even if i drive it on the freeway. Very annoying.

Hey how you all doin. What I have noticed is that my idle is goin alittle wacky. If i drive on the freeway at high speeds then begin to drive around the suburban streets my cars idle is fine. But if i dont do this and just drive around at normal speeds and not do the highway thing then my idle starts to rise to 1,000-1,200 rpm. TPS is fine, so is AAC valve,last time i checked the o2 sensor is working fine. I did a ecu reset this didnt fix it. With the ecu reset are you meant to give it a good thrash afterwards cause i didnt. Should I try this again?? Just strange idle has a mind of its own. yesterday it was even idle hunting for like 5 seconds then just stopped on 1,000rpm. Car drives fine otherwise just annoying and strange about the driving at high speed and then drives fine. any clue whats happening.

Hey all I have the following tyre sizes Fronts - 235/45/R17 and Rear 255/40 R17 Just wondering if i need to follow these tyre sizes exactly when purchasing tyres or will other sizes fit?? For example the rear would a 205/40 R17 fit?? Im not too sure how tyre sizes work so if anyone wants to explain please go right ahead.

Well its another idle issue but not like the ones I have read about elsewhere on this forum. I was driving yesterday all was good until half way through my drive my idle went from normal to 1,000rpm and just stayed there wouldnt go down i parked the car then drove off car was fine for like 5minutes then again same thing. Got to my freinds house then drove home not a problem idle was normal all the way?? What could have caused this. Same thing happened last week and I reset ecu all was good till yesterday when it decided to show up again. Its like my idle has a mind of its own. one second idles 1,000rpm then all of sudden gone back to normal. You you think another ecu reset and a good thrash would do it?? I was told you need to give your car a good thrash i didnt exactly do that when i reset it last week. any ideas?? i was going to speak to a mechanic to do the aac, valve check for leaks and clean afm but if it could be something else i should do then tell me.

Yeh RB engines and idling its a pain. Mine has a mind of its own. I was driving today everything was fine idling good and the im at the lights and my idle decides to go from normal to 1,000rpm. This happens at all the traffic lights all the way to my girlfreinds house. Then when i drive to the restaurant for a little while it drives fine then it starts to idle at the same place at every traffic light. OK park the car go have dinner at a restaurant come back drive it all is ok idling at normal speed?? what da?? it use to do it before but only for a little while then id rev it and it would go back down now it wont go down if i did it. I did the ecu reset all was good till today. tps is fine. before i go cleaning aav and air flow metre anything else u guys think it could be. its just strange as it comes and goes. i might do the ecu reset again think this will help???

Thanks for the people who are sending me pm's but the BOV is purpose built for a R33/R34 skyline. The adaptor is not removable and i dont believe you can fit it to any other cars. so this would ONLY fit a R33 or R34 skyline.

I just did a net search and this movie sounds like its going to be crap. Its got bow wow in it for god sakes. There not even going to bring back vin diesel as planned. Yeh i just kept the panel and installed a gfb stealth fx bov that i was given as a xmas gift and set it to the lowest sound setting sounds pretty cool

well after the car is at proper running temperature im idling between at around the 650-750 mark. According to the thing on my bonnet it says r33 idle is meant to be at 650 but the idle on a skyline is a funny thing. one day it can idle at 700 all day long some times at other. if your idling at like 1500 then its a bit high
