    Just wondering how you can get a bigger battery and keep the positive terminal stock. Ive had to totally replace it and modify it as the metal base of most of aftermarket wire and terminal clamps are not bent like the skyline one. Hope you guys know what I mean. I basically want it to look like the pic below with a bigger battery.

    Just wondering if a dying battery can affect the cold start of a motor vehicle. Such as low rpm stumble when starting thanks

    Hey guys every single FMIC kit even the generic ones are the same with piping which goes over the radiator which requires cutting into the chassis,fan blades etc. Just wondering if there are any companies that make blitz lm style piping fmic kits which are good quality but cheaper in price?? I like this type of kit cause it requires no cutting at all.

    Man 240 knock is pretty bad, if you just bought it you should of taken it to the dyno first thing to get it tuned. Take it now to get it checked out and I hope everything works out well. Get a compression test done aswell while your there.

    I agree, purchase a decent ECU and your car will love you for it.

    Sounds like coils, I know of a few boosted skyline running stock ecu's with 10psi and running great. I would still upgrade the fuel pump as you have boosted it past stock, extra insurance. Just my 2c

    Yeah beer baron, I agree with you and I think shannons is one of the better insurers but $2100 a year for a GTS-T on limit use of 2 days a week is kinda steep. I wonder if the lady who quoted me typed in GTR not GTS-T.

    Torque insurance,ryno insurance,famous insurance, young and cool. They all do imports and price there premiums well but they are somewhat small institutions and not to sure what there claims procedures and experience would be like. Whether they would look for absolutely any excuse not to pay out.

    I have a Trust PE II exhaust, nice low tone but not loud at all. Just how I like it.

    Running a single boost setting and having 200kw atw = a damn quick streeter. Personally I would not boost over 10psi on a stock turbo.

    a R33 factory remap that is re-tunable sounds the good to me. Any more information on this like functionality(tuning range),price etc would be great.

    dont forget a leakdown test also will give you a better indication of your engines condition. Personally if your using your car only for street use 200kw at the wheels is a pretty quick streeter so if the car is running good now and the comp test comes back borderline/average then atleast you'll still have a quick car as it is.

    Well is your car stock or boosted?? If its boosted then could be a number of things... - spark plugs might need re gapping - Your coils might have a crack, if you search there is a good silicon fix for this prob on the forums. of just go buy some splitfire coils. And also if you have a atmo bov like the guy above said could be causing you probs, im putting my money its your coils or your sparks.

    Just thought id add to this thread, i just called shannons for insurance and they quoted me $2130. Im 26 with rating one with no accidents, speeding tix etc. 1996 R33 series 2 with just and exhaust as a mod. Damn sydney. Just cars seems the cheapest so far at $1750. Any other reputable companies who insure imports in sydney? Or would the new GIO custom cars be the last resort? havent called them yet.

    Im trying to obtain an online PDS to have a quick read but unable to. Has anyone insured with these guys? are they any good? Im going to give them a call after work just checking to see if anyone has dealt with them.

    Has anyone driven one of these cars? Im looking at purchasing a car which is abit more practical for me now as im getting older. I have been reading up on ford XR5 turbo focus. Would the performance be similar to my stockish R33 or would I be left craving more. It says it has 2.5 litre volvo engine with 166kw but that doesnt mean squat to me. anyone have any opinions on this car??
