  1. Yeah our cars are not worth much now. Im looking at getting rid of mine soon and buy a new car thats more practical "DAMN GIRLFREIND" and yeah seems like im going to have to swallow my pride and probably trade it in because selling a skyline is very damn hard.
  2. Yeah well if its running rich at times and you can smell fuel well that normal. But if you can always smell the smell might be worth checking out your injectors as previously mentioned often the o-rings can leak.
  3. If your going to do a transplant then im thinking your RB25 was a wise choice. If it does require a rebuild later down the track I am under the impression it would be cheaper than rebuilding an RB26.
  4. I was on the UAS website and saw this snorkel for sale and was wondering if anyone know how on earth is fits and how it sits in the car?? Its meant to be used with a pod filter to work as a CAI. Any opinions?? The price is steep but if it works well than maybe its worth exploring in regards to making it myself. http://www.nismo.com.au/pricelists/General.../gtrsnorkel.jpg
  5. I support the above comment, rebuilding an RB26. Never enquired on how much the conversion would be to put in a GTS-T but if its a reasonable amount then that would be the way to go. Even a reasonably mild rebuild with decent turbos
  6. I just had the exact same problem, turned out to be water pump. Then changed timing belt, tensioner etc also, might aswell do it at once if you havent done your 100,000km service yet.
  7. All I know is that as your dumping the air that the AFM has already measured the ECU will crap itself regardless of the tightness of the spring. The only BOV which i have seen that tries to combat this AFM problem is the GFB Stealth where you can adjust how much air is vented to atmo and how much is plumbed back. But.... you are still dumping air the AFM has measured hence the ecu will compensate by overfuelling so causing stalls, backfires etc. Ive heard of people purchasing Fuel piggyback computers like the Apexi SAFC. If you want the noise then go for a pod but then u'll encounter another list of dilemnas.
  8. OMG dont sell keep it!! cant believe this car is still for sale. Its an absolute freak this car. minimum mods with awesome power. cant believe your selling it. good luck with sale mate.
  9. Yep, Trust me claims officers in Insurance companies check everything. There number one priority is to rule out faulty disclosure. When they read you your "duty of disclosure" when you take out a policy you agreed for them to deny a claim if you lie.
  10. yeah go to a petrol station mechanic in the west. They will do it quick smart.
  11. Unfortunately blow off valves and skylines as some other member explained are not a good mix. I even use to have a GFB stealth that you get to adjust how much air is vented and how much is kept and car still didnt feel the same and idle was terrible. I know its not what you want to hear but if you want to have a car that runs well then install your stock bov.
  12. My clutch fork has a squeaking sound when I press and release the clutch. All I wanna know is where exactly do I need to grease up to lubricate it? Is it the clutch fork itself or do I need to put grease on my finger and stick my finger in the soft hole type thing near the clutch fork and just fluke it and grease inside there.
  13. 4 days from kudos?? I got mine in 2 days first thing in the morning at 7am from the courier. Top stuff there everything you need. top bloke. I changed seals because cant be stuffed paying money later on labour costs to change seals and after speaking to nissan they recommended changing seals also. So as they say aswell precaution is better than a cure.
  14. Hey im from the parramatta area and I want to get the Gutter scrapes fixed up around this area??? anyone know roughly how much it would cost per rim thanks.
  15. I just did mine bought a kit from Kudos motorsports and got it all done. For now ive done Timing belt water pump idler and tensioner bearings Seals Cooling system flush and refill Mechanic then just recommended changing radiator hoses and thermostat but all seems fine for now so will be doing it later
  16. Yeah, Well im at work and his doing it so yeah if he tries to charge me heaps for the gasket maker im going to go off. He initially thought i needed a gasket but when i advised of gasket maket he was sweet about it.
  17. Hey Im at work and have been called by the mechanic and have been told that the water pump that i provided didnt come with a gasket and gasket maker would need to be used. He would need to hunt down some. is it hard to get or will it be a problem.
  18. Ive been told there good timing belts. The only bad thing ive heard is that they can be a little loud.
  19. cool good to see my situation wasnt an isolated incident
  20. Hey just want to see if this has happened to you guys before, I was driving along yesterday and all of a sudden I look at my petrol guage and its on zero!!! This would have been normal if I didnt fill the car up but the day before I put petrol. I drove a bit stayed the same then I got the shit and said stuff this im going to take it home went around a round about and the needle went straight up to full then stayed around there and slowly dropped alil as I was driving to the second line and then stayed that way and everything seemed normal after that. Any idea what would have happened for that time???
  21. Definetly change the water pump!! as ive just figured out if it begins to fail then you need to remove timing belt and all that. saves you on labour costs. now just waiting for the parts so I can get it all done. dirty water pumps should of made replacing them easier!!!!!!!
  22. nah the price is good. But is this all i need.
  23. If im going to buy a genuine nissan belt, are the following parts all I need to get my belt changed and water pump. *Idler Bearing *Tensioner Bearing *Cam Seals *Crank Seal *Brand New Genuine Nissan Water Pump
