So yes my battery went to shit last night and managed to jump start car direct to battery in boot. Charged the battery but car still didnt work so today i went and got a new battery. Problem is, that damn airbag light in the dash cluster keeps flashing and GOD DAMN is it bloody annoying. Ive put some electrical tape infront of it on the plastic panel to minimise its annoyance. But how do i fix it? I have a s2 r33. Ive searched the forums and basically just come up with people saying its gotta be hooked up to a Nissan computer? Is that really what i have to do? Sounds like such a rort of money.

I've just spoken with a few battery places and they say they have the odyssey but dont really recommend it due to $$$ and the fact all its ratings and shit are american standards not aussie which makes them sound alot better than they are. One guy says im better off with a calcium sealed battery, much cheaper, and much more powerfull. Same one in Gen3 v8's and stuff apparently??? Its like $100 cos they are the wholesaler where as the suitable odyssey is double the price and not as good?? Help guys!!!

Hi guys, Thanks for the replies. Battery was on the trickle charger overnight, looked to of given it enough power according to my bro, dad, and the voltage meter tester thingo. But car still wouldnt start. I managed to rip the battery out after destroying my hands trying to get the rear strut out when im all agro... gonna have bruises later. So yeah got the battery out its some jap shit farely dirty too, especially the terminal that gets earthed. acid powder shit big time. We did some test thin on the liquid in the battery, looked like a big thermometer haha, it basically kept saying the battery was shit, despite it rearing ok off the multimeter. SO... i need a new battery. Please, recommendations, i wanna go get 1 this morning. Dont care about cost. I dont want this problem again... and im PRAYING this is the problem.

Hi all had a f**king nightmare of a night with the bitch (car). Got to the car and it wouldnt start, makes insane clicking noise like the starter motor is farked or something. Tried jump starting from engine bay fitting but didnt work, eventually we did it directly to the battery in the boot and it worked. Does anyone know why? I drove around for a little, 15-20 mins to get home, turned it off... tried to start. f**ked again. Jump started it directly via battery in the boot and she kicked over. Any ideas fellas? To be honest i dont understand how it could of even been flat, or do our cars need a pretty solid charge to even kick over? I was driving around last night for a few hours so surely that should of charged it enough and it was perfectly fine this morning, i definitely didnt leave anything on. This has happened twice before but both times it didn actually start of its own accord after a few goes. But not this time. I do have quite a few gauges installed, aftermarket halogens and stuff, highish end pioneer headunit and very good front splits WITHOUT an amp (yet)... so if me driving usually with all these things +aircon on i dunno could i be drawing more power than its charging? Sounds stupid to me. But, im very paranoid and scared now. What should i do? Why on earth didnt it jump start from the front and only the back? Im charging the battery overnight so we'll see if it has enough charge in the morning to start of its own accord. If it does, im sure as hell not using my lights or cd player or anything!! Fark i dont know. Help guys?? Im thinking i should invest in a really good quality/powerfull battery first. Recommendation or advice??

Hi all just bought one of the front mount kits from justjap for my s2 r33. I live in campbelltown and looking for someone/somewhere not too far away for install. Im useless and dont want to go through the hassle myself, would rather someone experienced do the job properly. A mate said there was someone who has installed alot of these kits from SAU and does it for around $150. Anyone know who this is, or recommend anybody else thats not too far away and knows exactly what they are doing? Cheers Rob

I cant really comment on the UAS one as i dont think its exactly the same as the one i bought off Maxx. But we had to cut out the bonnet latch bit AND bend the bonnet latch lever, and its still not right. And the airguide bit at the bottom doesnt cover down how it should. And not all the holes matched up, had to drill an extra 1 or 2. Essentially mate, i would wait a few weeks or whatever and get one that you know will fit. I very much regret buying and forcing this piece of shit on and cant wait to replace it with something proper.

I have a series 1 one that was sold to me by Maxx saying it was a series 2. You can bodgy it to make it fit, but its still f**ked and not worth it. Im hanging for a proper series 2 one here then ill piss this other piece of shit off.

Hi Guys, As the topic says i have a brand new bosch 040 fuel pump for sale. I bought it in error thinking my fuel pump was farked when it turned out to be my AFM wiring. So yeah i dont need it! There are guides on the forum for installation etc. The 040 is an in-tank replacement, i think it requires a few alterations to the cradle to fit perfect. From what i have have heard and read they are better than the Walbro's. $230 including postage, $220 pickup in Sydney.

Im very interested however i heard from the first group buy alot of the stuff was extremely tight to fit, or didnt quite fit properly... will this be the same with the second group buy? Interesting. The fuel filter was replaced with a GTR one at the start of the year, i dont really think what im experiencing could by caused by the filter... but i might check that out tomorrow.

Yes. But if ive had the car on for a while reving long enough or attempted driving it it will reach a point where it will cut out as soon as its kicked over. almost as if its using fuel thats flowed through due to gravity but ran out. ignore me lol It doesnt normally just straight cut out due to temp, it struggles and hiccups like a dirt bike with its fuel ratio/mixture wrong except will also cut out like its not getting fuel and then just not go at all. then repeat process after a while.
